CHAPTER 158

The sun was setting, casting a golden glow across the park. Two elderly men were seated on a wooden bench, lost in thought. One was Ana's grandfather, an old man with wrinkles that etched his face and a wisdom that carried many stories. The other was Mason's grandfather, a man of similar age, with a strong chin and thick white hair. Both men sat with their hands folded in their laps and worry etched across their faces.

After a while of sitting in silence, Ana's grandfather broke the silence. "Have you noticed it too?" he asked, his voice heavy with concern.

Mason's grandfather looked up, his grey eyes meeting the other man's. "The energy in the atmosphere for the past week?" he responded, his eyebrows furrowing in concentration. "Yes, I have."

Ana's grandfather nodded, his eyes scanning the park. "Somebody has opened and closed portals from Crania to Earth," he said. "I'm sure it's Zofran."
