Chapter 1
Brown Back to Hielux
The cold breeze swept through the entire harbor area, quiet and deserted except for the roaring wind and the sound of waves lapping at the edge of the pier.
The bustling port, usually crowded, was suddenly closed off completely due to the presence of someone very important in the country. Ships that were docked were shifted to the reserve dock, leaving many people wondering who the significant figure arriving at the harbor might be.Not long after, an aircraft carrier finally docked. Unlike other military aircraft carriers, this one wasn't filled with soldiers, and even when the ship reached the edge of the pier, there was no visible military activity.Meanwhile, inside the ship, "Sir, we've arrived," said a female major named Cleo to a man who had been sitting at the stern of the ship. There was no response, but the man in front of her promptly stood up from his seat. With firm strides, the man in a black robe adorned with golden patterns and a red emblem on the front of his shirt descended from the ship. A specially plated car was already waiting for them below, with no escort except for a man in all-black attire who had been the driver waiting there. With a cold and unfriendly expression, they continued walking. The Warlord known as The Red Eagle, whose real name was Brown, but everyone called him Father. Right below, Cleo quickly took the keys and opened the vehicle's door for Brown. After ensuring Brown was seated calmly and comfortably, Cleo quickly got into the driver's seat and sped off in the luxurious black vehicle, leaving the harbor behind. Meanwhile, about 1 km away, a number of intelligence officers and snipers were stationed to guard the warlord throughout his visit."Are we going to see your wife soon?" Cleo asked with a speculative expression as she glanced at Brown sitting in the back seat through the rearview mirror of the car she was driving.Brown looked sharply, then averted his gaze to the right where a row of palm trees adorned the streets of Hielux city.Cleo, who had been with Brown for the past 2 years, had become familiar with and understood Brown's character, despite the fact that he never spoke a word."Bougenvil Street 5, number 15." Cleo navigated the GPS system in the luxurious car to provide the fastest route to an address.Meanwhile, in the back seat, Brown appeared increasingly restless and anxious. How could he not be? On his important journey to Zanadia Island, Brown had to change his travel plans after receiving a message from the intelligence he sent to watch over his family in Hielux city.News of Clara, his wife's engagement, made Brown very anxious and distraught. He realized that leaving his wife on their second day of marriage had caused her anxiety, wondering if it would all come back to haunt him. And now, news of Clara's engagement had truly thrown him into a frenzy, shattering his concentration and diverting his focus since he received the news last night. Therefore, Brown decided to immediately visit his wife's extended family, even though he still had a number of tasks to attend to."We've arrived," Cleo said, pulling over her car at a corner of the park on the edge of the residential complex, somewhat shielded from the direction of the large yard of a house.Brown stepped out of the car, and Cleo immediately greeted him, helping him take off his ceremonial robe. "I've prepared a shirt and simple clothes for you to wear. Get changed now," Cleo said to Brown, who promptly obeyed.Everyone knew about Cleo's closeness to the warlord. In the past 2 years since they were brought together at the border of Gornia and Bardiez, Cleo and Brown had become inseparable. The beautiful woman, a two-star mayor, was the only person Brown trusted to accompany him wherever he went. The outbreak of conflict at the border, which transformed Brown into a warlord, was a reality unknown to Clara, his wife whom he abandoned 5 years ago.Despite secretly keeping an eye on his wife's family by ensuring intelligence watched over them and ensured their well-being, Clara never knew that the prosperity enjoyed by her family during the war was thanks to Brown's intervention."Isn't this the useless man named Brown?" Alex's greeting immediately caused several guests at the party to glance at Brown."What are you doing here? How dare you show your face in this place again?" The insult from his father-in-law, who approached him, rang out loudly. "I came to take Clara away," Brown said, continuing to walk through the guests towards the front where Clara was standing with a man he didn't recognize."You worthless man, how dare you come here! Leave or I will make you regret it, you will feel ashamed for the rest of your life! You poor excuse for a man!" Jack said contemptuously.Brown's steps came to an immediate halt, his emotions escalating especially after hearing Jack's last sentence calling him a poor man."I came to pick her up, I don't want to cause any trouble!" Brown said, continuing his steps."I'm sorry, but you should reflect on yourself first. Are you worthy of Clara or not?" Alex said sternly, blocking Brown's path. The tension between the two men grew, making the situation at the engagement event extremely chaotic and uncontrollable. Some guests began to speculate on what would happen next, especially after learning the identity of Brown, the man who had previously abandoned Clara."Why did you come back, Brown?" This time, a soft voice sounded in Brown's ear, immediately sending a strange sensation throughout his body.Brown turned to see Clara approaching from his right side, looking beautiful and graceful in a simple yet fitting dress on her proportionate body."Tell me, why did you come back after leaving so abruptly on our third day of marriage?" Clara's gentle voice was heard again, but the sharpness of her hatred-filled gaze towards Brown this time easily pierced the king of war's heart. The beloved face he longed for was now staring at him, demanding an explanation for what had happened to her once.Somehow, behind Clara's serene and gentle voice, it felt like hundreds of bullets piercing his body, leaving the Warlord standing there, powerless, under the hateful gaze of the woman he loved dearly.Expand

The King of War Powerful Return The Sparks of Loyalty
The atmosphere in the room shifted as Brown and Clara exchanged a knowing glance. Their entrance wasn’t just a formality—they carried an aura of determination that added weight to the already tense chamber.“Danniel,” Brown said firmly, bowing his head slightly, “we stand with you. Whatever games of power these men try to play, they’ll have to go through us first.”Clara stepped forward, her eyes blazing with fire. “You’ve carried this burden alone for too long. The world knows you as the War God, but we know you as the man who never abandoned his people, even when everyone else turned their back. We’re here—not because we have to, but because we choose to.”Danniel's gaze softened, just slightly. Their words stirred something deep in him. For a moment, the chains of loneliness that had wrapped around his heart for years seemed to crack. But the generals weren’t impressed. One of them scoffed loudly. “So what? A few loyal dogs at your side? Do you think that changes the fact that this

The King of War Powerful Return The Fractured Pact
The ground tore open with a deafening crack, swallowing the edge of the path in a spray of rock and black fire. Brown barely managed to grab the cart’s frame with one hand, the other clutching the starlight shard. The Shadowcaster descended into the rift like a phantom, cloak billowing, its faceless visage turning toward him. The air around it warped—light dimming, heat bleeding away.“Brown!” Clara’s voice rang out, strained but fierce. She sprinted through the chaos, slicing down a rider who got in her way. Eva was already moving toward him, her hands weaving sigils in the air, her white magic flaring brighter against the gloom. The Shadowcaster lifted a hand. The spectral beasts surged upward again—this time larger, faster, their fangs dripping with shadows that hissed when they touched the ground.Brown tossed the shard to Eva. “Keep it safe!”“You’re insane!” she shouted back.“Been told that before.”Clara skidded into place beside him, back-to-back. “You cover high, I’ll carve

The King of War Powerful Return Down the Slope
The meeting room was small, windowless, and dimly lit, the hum of an old ceiling fan the only sound as they filed in. Dann took the head of the table, Brown leaned casually against the far wall, and Clara and Eva ended up sitting directly across from each other, like two opposing queens in a game neither intended to lose.Dann cleared his throat. “We’ve confirmed the convoy carrying the second fragment will cross through the Dusk Pass in two days. Security is heavier than we anticipated—triple guard rotation, aerial scouts, and…” he glanced at Brown, “…they’ve brought in a Shadowcaster.”Clara’s brow furrowed. “A Shadowcaster? That means Varek’s anticipating us.” She leaned forward slightly, her tone crisp. “We’ll need diversionary teams on both flanks, and someone who knows how to counter dark wards.”Eva smirked faintly. “Or someone who can bypass them entirely. Which—” she looked at Dann, not Clara—“I’ve already arranged. You don’t need to split forces.”Clara’s eyes narrowed. “You

The King of War Powerful Return About Dave
Brown and Clara arrived at the mansion just as the tension between Jeremy and Dann was thick enough to slice with a blade. The sound of their hurried footsteps echoed in the grand hallway before they appeared at the doorway—Brown, his soldier’s posture rigid, and Clara, her eyes scanning the room like a hawk.“Dave,” Brown’s voice was deep, commanding attention without trying. “What’s going on here?”Jeremy’s smirk twitched, but he didn’t look away from Dave. “Ah, perfect timing,” he said with false cheer. “Looks like the cavalry’s here. Or maybe… the audience.”Clara crossed her arms, unimpressed. “We heard enough from the hallway to know you’re trying to stir trouble again, Jeremy.” Her tone was sharp, protective of Dave.Jeremy chuckled low. “Protective little friends you have here, Dave. Cute.”Brown stepped forward, closing the distance between them with deliberate slowness. “You don’t want to test my patience, Jeremy. I’ve heard the rumors. I know you’ve been poking around place

The King of War Powerful Return When the Boy Spoken
The world held its breath. In temples carved into cliff sides, in ruins buried beneath desert sands, in the crystal monasteries of the North — they heard it.A voice. No, not a voice — a commandment.Aetherion, kneeling in the void, trembled as the sound surged from his mouth. It wasn’t in any known tongue, yet all who heard it understood.“Wake.”And far above, reality answered. In the Forbidden NorthA slumbering mountain cracked. Not from earthquake — but from stirring.Beneath its peak, the Thirteenth Gate shuddered. The silver chains that bound it hissed with steam. One broke. An ancient guardian — a creature of living frost and flame — opened its eyes for the first time in ten thousand years."The Voice… has returned.”At the Edge of the Red ForestA woman in white, blindfolded with threads of starlight, dropped her goblet.Blood-red wine spilled over her altar. The High Seer of Ellvyr collapsed, her body twitching in seizure, before rasping a name not heard since the first gods

The first of the Dragon-Sworn.“She lives inside me still,” Vhorran said, tapping his chest where a shimmer of gold flickered under his skin. “And sometimes… she dreams of finishing the war.”Clara didn’t speak for a moment. Then: “Can she still hear the child?”Vhorran paused. His gaze sharpened.“Yes. And she’s afraid.”Lysandros stood, suddenly tense. “Why?”Vhorran’s voice dropped to a whisper.“Because something older than her... older than all of us... is whispering through him.”Meanwhile, beneath the SanctuaryAetherion stood before a cracked mirror. But his reflection was smiling before he was.“You’re not me,” he whispered.“No,” the reflection said, eyes like liquid night. “I’m what’s been left behind.”It reached toward the glass. And the mirror shattered. The shards of the broken mirror glistened on the floor like ice, each one humming with a low, hungry sound. Aetherion didn’t move. He simply stared at the space where his reflection had stood — where it had spoken back.
