Chapter 5

Mason sighed as he took a heavy tired breath outside the room.

He wanted to remain by the side of the room to wait for his wife, but he knew they would be unhappy to see him again should they open the door.

So Mason began walking down the hall way to his left, nothing else was in his mind than how to make his life and family work.

Deep down he knew he hasn't been a great husband, but it was just his fault. There was a lot going on that he could not explain just yet.

He passed some other rooms and could either see the patients resting or being attended to by nurses.

He found a bench at the end of the hall way and sat there, he was far enough from the room and was left to his thought again.

Mason took out a pen and a piece of paper from his pocket and began scribbling down something's on it.

The room exploded in panic immediately as Tanya's grandmas health became grim in less than a minute.

She was coughing blood, struggling to breath and slowly lossing consciousness.

"Doctor! Doctor!!"

Tanya continued to scream frantically as she shook her grandma, trying everything her brain told her to do at that point in a bid to save her grandmas life.

The doctor hurried back down to where the woman was, completely surprised to see what was the problem.

"what happened? "

The doctor asked Tanya immediately as he reached for the old lady and began checking her vitals.

"I don't know "

Tanya cried.

"she just started coughing and then vomiting blood. Doctor please help her " she gripped the doctor desperately with tears rolling from her eyes.

The doctor did not say anything but continued doing what he was doing .

Derrick held Tanya and pulled her back despite Tanya refusing to leave the doctor.

"allow the doctor work Tanya, give him some room ".

Tanya sobbed as she watched her grandma struggle to live .

The doctor's expression turned to one of worry and panic, sweat began pouring down his face and his hands started shaking.

"Doctor is anything the problem? " Derrick asked

"Will she get better? " Derrick kept asking, seeing the doctor lose his composure.

"what's going o...."

"WILL YOU SHUT UP, I don't know what the hell is happening right now. "

The doctor snapped and interrupting Derrick from asking anymore questions.

"I've treated her and she was fine and should be fine, but I don't know what is wrong right now"

The doctor said as he looked at his patient with fear in his eyes.

"I think she's going to die "

The moment he said that, the room exploded in worry and more panic.

"what did you say? "

"Doctor my ass, he doesn't know medicine "

"can't you just do your voodoo again and make her feel better "

"we lose another member of the family again thanks to this ungrateful doctor. "

"all he cares about is his money "

Voices and unpleasant remarks kept flying around.

Some people like Tanya were already crying and others turned thier face away since they did not want to watch the woman die just like that.

Tanya's grandma was already so pale, falling unconsciousness and blood gurgling out of her mouth , she is going to die soon.

Derrick hugged Tanya, trying to comfort her and prevent her from seeing her grand ma die.

The doctor just stood there defeated unable to tell what was wrong.

"where is that man? "

The doctor screamed as he turned around frantically to search for the man in question.

"who?" some asked

"the man that said that she was going to die, maybe he can help" the doctor said as quickly ran to the door.

"oh Mason , yes Mason. Where Is he, he really did say something like this will happen. " someone said with a sliver of hope.

"Mason is somewhere outside. " someone else said

"Mason, so that's his name . We have to find him quickly. " the doctor said and when outside.

A few others accompanied him so as to find Mason faster.

"he's not here, where should he have gone? "

The doctor said with great disappointment as he did not find Mason where he was supposed to be.

"everyone go look for him "someone shouted and they all went separate ways to look for Mason .

The doctor just stood at the entrance of the room in frustration, not knowing what to do anymore.

"doctor, please save my ma" Tanya kept crying.

Mason was still seated on the bench at the end of the hall when he heard his name and saw someone running down to him.

He was surprised and immediately identified the person as a distant relative from the room he was sent out of.

He put one and two together and realised what may have been happening.

"Mason, come quickly, we need your help."

The man said hurriedly with laboured breath.

"your wife's grand mother Is dying, just like you said. She's coughing at blood and losing consciousness."

The man hurriedly explained so that Mason will understand what was happening.

Mason sighed and knew exactly that it would happen.

"is the doctor still there? "Mason asked.

"yes he is and he does Not know what to do, we have to hurry " the man replied

"hmm, here take this to the doctor. "

He took out the piece of paper he had written something on and gave it to the man.

The man was confused as he took the paper, not knowing what to do it say.

"but, but..."

"why are you still here, hurry and give that to the doctor or she will die."

Mason scolded the man.

The man immediately took off to deliver the Note to the doctor.

Mason sighed, What he had written down was the treatment for his wife's grandma.

Despite how repulsive the woman maybe, he only chose to help out because of his wife.

He decided not to go back there but use a note since it would be uncomfortable for him to go back there again.

Mason stood up and left the hospital, since the reason why he was waiting had been settled.

"Doctor, Doctor. " the man screamed from afar as he hurried to make it to the doctor on time.

"Mason asked me to give you this " he presented the note to the doctor and then gasped for air.

"he said it contained the treatment for the woman"

"you found him? " Someone asked and the young man nodded and everyone else exhaled in relief.

"he even gave the doctor the treatment for the ma, to save her life. " the man added.

The doctor took the note and read it, it read

" use the reverse of the acupuncture Technique you used initially, start from her left meridian. "

After reading it, the doctor finally understood what happened.

He immediately went in to do as the note said and the woman's condition normalized.

"he did it, doctor Raymond has done it" Derrick exclaimed in relief

"No, I didn't.Mason did. "

Doctor Raymond said as he corrected the impression..

The doctor just sat by the corner of the room and caught his breath, he finally realised that There was still much for him to learn.
