Chapter 26

"Dodge it!" Lucas said to Kriemhild as they both dodged the dragons fire.

It has only been a few minutes but the two dragons have already made it hard for them by the amount of soldiers that they had killed in the short amount of time. Lucas clicked his tongue at the difficulty it is.

"A dragon's scales are extremely durable so normal weapons won't do much." Aslaug said to him as she stood beside the two.

"I know. But since that's the case then." Lucas said as he looked at his sword.

The two girls looked at each other though Kriemhild couldn't see her face due to her armor.

"I'll be withdrawing for a bit but the two of you can either try to fight it or keep on dodging it." Lucas said to the two of them as he got a plan.

"I don't intend to run away." Aslaug said to him.

"I'll stay here and help some of the soldiers since we do need them." Kriemhild said to him.

"Got it." Lucas said to them before he withdraw from the fight.

"How are you planning to fight them?" Kriemhild asked her comrade.

"I have a sword which is special, it might be able to damage the dragons scales." Aslaug said as she brought out her sword.

'Where did that sword come from?' Kriemhild thought in confusion.

"Aslaug, Kriemhild." Olivia's voice is heard as the two turned to their right to see the princess coming towards them.

"Where's Lucas?" Olivia asked them seeing that he isn't there.

"He went back for a few moments." Kriemhild said to her.

"Does the court mage have any kind of magic that can be used against them?" Aslaug asked her as she took a few practice swings of her blade.

"I do not know. I have been trying to protect my men." Olivia said eyeing the weapon.

'Where did she get that sword?' Olivia thought to herself as she looked at the sword.

She had never seen a sword like that but she could feel a power coming from it. She does not know what it is but she knows that it might be of help to them in their war.

"We have to defeat the dragons fast if you want your men to be safe." Aslaug said as she brandished her blade.

"Then I hope my spear will be able to do something." Olivia said as her spear crackled with lightning.

"I'll just try to not die since I don't have any powerful weapons." Kriemhild said to them as the two nodded.

Then the princess and demigoddess rushed towards the dragons as said beasts noticed them coming towards them as they roared at them before shooting fire. The two immediately moved away and dodged the fire from the two dragons.

"Maybe we can use those dragons against the enemy." Aslaug said to Olivia.

"That's a nice idea." Olivia said with a smile.

The two of them nodded to eachother and ran around the dragons getting their attention and to piss then off they attacked them and their weapons did do a bit of damage causing them to get more angry as they gathered fire in their mouths. However they were facing the army of Sweden but due to their focus being on the two women.

"Now!" Olivia shouted when she saw that the dragons are about to attack.

"You don't have to tell me twice princess!" Aslaug shouted back as she got ready as well.

Then they jumped very high and managed to dodge the flames that came out of the dragon's mouth which then hit the soldiers as they screamed in pain from being burned by the flames. Aslaug smirked under her armor when she saw it as she landed in the group.

"Heh. That'll show them." Aslaug said with a smug tone.

"We don't have time for that. The dragons focus are still on us." Olivia said to the demigoddess as the dragons looked at them.

They gathered fire in their mouths as they were about to fire as the two girls got ready to dodge but then a dragonic roar caught the attention of the two dragons and every other human on the battlefield as people from both armies looked to the sky as it was from there that they heard the roar.

There they saw a reptilian being flapping it's wings as it made its way to them and though it was more slim and smaller they knew what it was.

"A wyvern?" Andvaranaut said as he looked at the wyvern.

He knew about the wyvern as he had defeated some in his time as despite having some dragonic features they weren't as durable and strong as dragons. He also knew that wyverns would never actually try to fight dragons which is why he is confused as to why the wyvern is coming towards them with a roar.

The wyvern soon zoomed down and then opened its wings and flew over the battlefield and then gathered fire in its mouth and attackee the armies of Sweden much to the surprise of the people present. The two dragons roared challengingly as the wyvern used it's speed to quickly maneuver itself around the two as someone jumped off its back and landed on the ground.

"Sorry for the wait." Lucas said with a smirk as he looked at Olivia and Aslaug.

"Lucas?!" Both of them said surprised.

"You have a wyvern?" Olivia asked confused.

"Yes. His name is Falkor. He is my good friend." Lucas said as said wyvern is currently shooting fire at the two dragons.

"You are just getting more surprising as time goes." Aslaug said to him with a sigh.

"Well, we don't have time to talk. We have to defeat the two dragons fast otherwise we will lose." Lucas said to them as he brandished his sword.

"Hold on, are those runes?" Aslaug said as she noticed that his sword has new runes.

"Where did you get them so fast?" Olivia asked him surprised at the runes.

"Questions for another time. Falkor can keep the dragons occupied but we need to use that time to defeat all those soldiers." Lucas said to them as he pointed at the coming soldiers.

"Then let's show them what it means to fight us." Olivia said as her spear crackled with lightning.

"Don't forget me. I will show them true fear." Aslaug said to them as she brandished her sword.

Then the three dashed towards the enemy soldiers as they plunged their blades in their enemies.
