Lucas and his parents reached the royal palace and they disembarked from the carriage and were greeted by a good amount of maids and butlers as they welcomed them. Their carriage was escorted away as the servants showed them the way to the inside of the palace as they nodded to them and the three members of the Larsen clan entered the castle.

Lucas was impressed with the architecture of the castle and it is also decorated as well. There were also beautiful paintings of various places in the region, some about the animals, Gods and warriors and so forth.

Lucas could tell that these paintings were created by great artists as paintings like these are hard to come by. Even his own family only has two paintings of such quality and he can say that they are very beautiful. It also served to raise the beauty of the palace as it blended well with the architecture as well.

And as expected of the royal palace there are many soldiers stationed inside alongside many servants as they would walk quickly from one place to another as they worked to make sure that the party would go smoothly.

"It truly is magnificent." Agnes said as she looked at the palace.

"You shouldn't expect anything less from our royal family." Leif said with a chuckle as he agreed with his wife.

"I can definitely see the appeal." Lucas said as he walked with them.

His parents hummed in unison at hearing him as they soon reached closed double doors as the guards there opened it for them. There the three of them saw a large hall with many nobles standing and talking there. All of whom stopped at hearing and seeing the doors open as they looked at them.

Lucas immediately felt the eyes of the people boring into him as he could see everyone looking in his direction. He also caught a few noble girls looking at him and whispering amongst themselves, no doubt thinking about talking to him since he is a war hero now. And war heroes have great fame and reputation amongst the people as well.

'And it looks like many of her nobles here have also made plans to get in touch with me. I can also see a few of them talking to their daughters when we entered. Most likely telling them to talk to me and get on my good graces.' Lucas thought to himself as he looked at the gathered nobles.

The door closed behind the three as they walked into the room and soon the nobles walked to them and greeted them with smiles. The older ones congratulate Leif for his contributions in the war and also praising his and Lucas' efforts in the war. They also talked about how lucky Agnes is to have such wonderful warriors as her husband and son.

Lucas meanwhile was immediately swarmed by the noble girls as they were looking at him with fascination and wonder as they smiled at him and tried to talk to him. Tried since they are all talking at once and it is getting a bit confusing with all the noise overlapping with each other.

Lucas looked at his father who just gave him a smile and turned to face the other nobles while his mother winked at him and talked with the noble ladies and he could tell that she was boasting to them about his accomplishments. He understood that his parents won't help him and so he turned to look at the noble girls in front of him.

"Ladies ladies, you're all talking at the same time and it is hard for me to understand all of you." Lucas said to them as he smiled at them.

"Y-Yes sir." The girls said in unison when they heard him as they blushed.

Lucas is a handsome boy, there is no doubt about that. But combine it with the fact that he is war hero, and the fact that the girls find warriors like him very attractive and think favourably about him and the fact that he is like a living legend, naturally drew them to him and his smile and tone hit the right spot for the girls.

Lucas smiled as he looked at them as he managed to calm them down. He looked around the room and saw many of the noble boys near his age looking at him with a glare, jealous from the attention he is getting from the girls.

But he also knew that they won't try anything against him. The fact that he had fought in the war and was one of the key figures and the reason Norway won it also contributed to it. And the fact that he is a warrior skilled enough to fight against dragons and tons of soldiers all of his own amplified the fear they held for him.

Even the noble boy who had fought him before the war was very hesitant to come out of his place amongst the noblemen as he didn't have the courage to actually talk to him.

But he didn't care about that and focused his attention on the group of girls in front of him as he smiled at them and talked with them as he answered their questions.

"How many enemies did you kill?"

"I head you had killed a dozen men in a matter of moments."

"How did you get the wyvern to obey you?"

"Were the enemies easy to kill?"

"They say that you are very strong. How strong are you?"

They asked him these types fo questions as he answered them without divulging too much information to them. But he is a quick thinker and gave the answers in short simple sentences and though they asked personal questions it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.

But as he was doing that the noise in the hall died down as the people looked towards two large ornate doors that stood at the opposite side of the ones through which they had entered the hall. It opened as Princess Olivia walked out from them with grace in her steps and her head held high as she wore a gorgeous dress.

She is wearing a gorgeous gold dress which had her back open and shoulders detached, a gold collar and nothing in between the collar and the covering over her breasts. The skirt reached down, almost touching the floor and has a slit on the right hip side, allowing her right leg to be shown, which is quite slim and alluring. She is wearing blue heels, stockings of the same colour and also gloves of the same blue which reached her elbows.

She wore light make-up, her cheeks have a slightly pink hue to them, her lips are red lipstick on them, drawing attention to them and matching her red eyes. Her silver hair is let loose as it falls down to her waist and slightly below it as it is swayed by her movements, the contrast of her silver hair and golden clothes beings great mix. All of this combined showed her to be a very gorgeous, beautiful and alluring woman who can make heads turn.

And make them turn she did as many of the men were captivated by her beauty and the aura surrounding her which has a certain pride to it as she held her head high and looked at the people down below as she is at the top of the three stairs made it seem like she was looking down on them, which seemed to increase her attractiveness.

Even the women were affected by her beauty and the noble girls were also captivated by her. They couldn't deny the fact that their princess is a beauty and the fact that she is a warrior also increased her charm in their eyes. But they were ultimately more interested in Lucas than her.

Speaking of Lucas, he was also affected by her beauty as he had a slight blush on his face as he looked at her. The dress and stage increasing her beauty and the proud way she is standing also increased her beauty in his eyes.

'Goddamn she is beautiful.' Lucas thought to himself as he looked at the princess.

Olivia couldn't believe what was happening right now. She had entered the throne room, ready to fight against the enemy prince. But right after she had dodged the energy attack from Eric, a smaller attack had hit her, and to her surprise she didn't feel any pain from him, which was confusing for her and concerning. And then before she was able to think about the attack, her body moved forward, her arms curled around the shaft of her spear as she slashed her spear, right towards Lucas. This alarmed her as she wasn't able to stop herself as she felt fear, and then relief when he had parried her attack and pushed her back. But then she saw Master Andvaranaut attack him with his spear as well as he also parried the attack and made the man fall back. And she saw Kriemhild attacking him from behind as he was moving to protect himself, but Aslaug appeared as she met with Kriemhild and pushed her back which gave her more relief. Which was when Olivia saw the yellow glow in her master'

Lucas and his companions stormed the palace as they charged in through the main door and ran as they didn't find any guards there, but they kept running to find the mage and stop this war. They ascended a flight of steps to get to the throne room. But they were met with the sight of more than 100 soldiers who were ready with their weapons as they immediately honed in on the intruders. "Attack!" The commander shouted as the soldiers ran. Arrows and magic flew towards them as Lucas and Aslaug charged forward and sliced the magical attacks while the others followed their lead while dodging the arrows as the enemy soldiers were charging at them at the same time. Olivia wreathed her spear with lightning as she threw it as it sailed through the air and impaled through a line of soldiers and stabbed through the heart of a mage, before it yanked itself out and flew back towards Olivia as she grabbed it as she met the soldiers blades with her alongside the rest. Andvaranaut had noticed ho

Lucas and his group charged through the territory as they passed by civilians and soldiers, the latter of which they dispatched off pretty quickly, as it was quite easy for Lucas to do so with his magic. He also had held from Olivia and Andvaranaut as they also used their spears to shoot lightning at the enemies, the two weapons were given to them by the court mage and they were pretty reliable weapons. Aslaug watched them and frowned as her own sword is unable to do the same thing, which makes her limited in terms of range, which in hindsight would've been useful when she had first fought against Lucas. 'Hmm, I guess that is a limitation I have.' Aslaug thought to herself as she rode the horse as they charged at the castle. Of course, the way to the castle wasn't quite easy as there were soldiers that tried to kill them but they were dispatched off quickly as they made the horses run faster as they felt the wind over their faces and skin as they charged, it was true for Lucas,

  • Chapter 66

Lucas felt his power increase as the runes were becoming more attuned to his body as his own body was getting used to them as well as they were harmonizing as he ran towards the golems and his own brats as the others followed on their foot as they charged at the enemies. Alpha and the rest of the boys also noticed their Lord and the army coming towards them with Lucas at their helm. the guy himself nodded to them as he approached as they smiled at his acknowledgement, but focused back on the battle as they knew that it had more priority at the moment. Lucas charged forward, not about to let this opportunity go by as Aslaug immediately followed after him, being the only one who is equal ground to him, followed by Andvaranaut, Olivia and Kriemhild as they charged. He reached the nearest golem as his sword sang as he slashed it's leg as he passed one of his boys as he slashed off its right arm, grabbed it to have leverage before he plunged the sword into the golems head, got a foot

  • Chapter 65

Lucas couldn't believe his eyes as he saw the golems that were attacking them as he couldn't help but squint his eyes as he saw the things. His irritation growing at how much of a problem this new mage was being to them and how much he wanted to end his life so that he doesn't have to deal with all these things. By now the rest of his group had also spotted the golems as many of the soldiers paled at the sight while Andvaranaut, Olivia and Kriemhild were tense as they saw them. Aslaug just frowned as she looked at the golems, her expression hidden by the helmet. Lucas licked his lips as he growled at the sight of the enemy, the image of his wyvern being hurt was etched into his mind as he could vividly recall the sight of his charred chest and damaged wings. He was going to make them pay for what they have done. "Why don't you use your portals to just send them back." Andvaranaut asked him as they had moved back due to the assault. "It still costs me energy to use my magic. I don

  • Chapter 64

The soldiers watched with wide eyes as the portal devoured the attacks from the enemy as they were awed by the sight in front of them as Lucas grit his teeth while the others watched. "Woah." Olivia said in awe at the sight. "Impressive." Andvaranaut said with a nod. "Master Lucas..." Kriemhild said in awe at the giant portal in front of her. The other soldiers who are being protected by him were also awed as they watched the deadly attacks being taken into the portal as he himself is gritting his teeth to ensure that the portal is stable and stays open, otherwise then the soldiers behind him are sure to die, while the more skilled ones would at least be able to dodge the attacks. Aslaug watched the spectacle as she gripped her sword tight as she saw the magic he is using as she watched the powerful attacks being devoured, and she knew that he would also be able to do the same thing to her if he wanted to. Lucas kept his focus as he kept the portal open until the attack wa
