A New Friend

Alexia sighed and moved closer to him.

“Don't cry, it is okay.” She said and sighed again.

“Okay, how about we start like this, what’s your name?” She asked and she slowly sat beside him.

“My name? My name... “ He trailed off and hitched his hair.

“Yes, like what you are called.”

“Al... Alex.” He said and she smiled happily.

“Wow, that is amazing. My name is Alexia, we both have the same name.” She said with a smile.

“Where is this place?” He asked.

“We are in New Jersey but on the outskirts, somehow far from the main city.” She replied and he looked at her.

“What am I doing here?” He asked and cried again.

“I... I... “

“What am I doing here?” He yelled and she flinched.

He moved towards her and she stood up in fear, he stood up and held her hand.

“Are you part of those people that brought me here? Why am I here?” He yelled squeezing her hand and Alexia whimpered in pain.

“Please stop it, you are hurting me.” She winced in pain and he let go of her hand.

Alexia breathed heavily and moved towards the exit.

“Okay, let's talk far away from each other okay? You really have bad anger issues.” She said and creased her hand.

“So now, the only possible explanation for what is wrong with you is that you probably have a memory loss or something or... “

“I want to see outside, you said we should go outside earlier.” He cut her off and she paused.

“Oh, outside? Come on.” She said and he walked towards her, she opened the door and stepped outside, he got to the entrance and ran back inside immediately the sunshine to his face.

“What is that? What the hell was that?” He yelled covering his face.

“Wait, are you from earth? Cause there are some things you do and say I find hard to believe.”

“It's so bright and it's burning.”

“Okay, it's the sun and it doesn't hurt, it just burns but doesn't hurt okay?” Alexia said and walked towards him, she held his hand and pulled him.

“Close your eyes.” She said and he did.

“Ugh, such a baby.” She scoffed and pulled him out of the house.

“Now, slowly open your eyes.” She said and he slowly did, he couldn't adjust to the light and he hugged Alexia and hid his face in her chest.

“Get off me you pervert.” She yelled and pushed him off her, he closed his eyes again and opened them slowly and in seconds he adjusted to the light.

“Where are we?” He asked and Alexia opened her mouth in shock.

“Are you this dumb? We are outside your house.”

“What does dumb mean?” He asked and she groaned.

“I haven't seen anything like this before, where is this?”

“You have got to be kidding me, this is outside your house, like your environment and your mansion, like... “ Alexia groaned not knowing how to explain to him.

“They sent you didn't they? They sent to here right?” He asked angrily.

“Who the hell are they and why are you always flaring up?”

“Stop saying this I don't understand!” He yelled and she sighed.

“That’s it, am leaving.” She sighed and head towards the back and he followed her.

“Where are you going?” He asked.

“Am going to my house.”

“You have your own house?”

“Sure, everybody has a house.” She replied and stopped when she got to the back door.

“You want to leave me?” He asked sadly and tears suddenly clouded his eyes.

“Seriously? How do you change mood so quickly?” Alexia asked surprised.

“You are leaving me?”

“What? No, am not.”

“But you want to leave me just like Emily did.”

“What? Who is Emily?”

“Who is Emily?” He asked back and Alexia sighed.

“Look, am not leaving you, I just want to go to my house. I will be back tomorrow with some food and I will bring a lot this time.”

“When will it be tomorrow?” He asked innocently.

“Okay, hold on.” Alexia said and checked her watch.

“So it's five in the evening and I should be here by three in the afternoon tomorrow so let us do it this way. You can count numbers, right? Since you are so dumb.”

“What are numbers?” He asked and Alexia groaned.

“Fuck!” She muttered and moved to him.

“I mean one, two, three, four... “

“five, six, seven, eight... “ He cut her off and continued counting.

“Great, at least you know something.” She said with a smile and he nodded.

“Good, sixty minutes make an hour and sixty seconds makes one minute, I need you to count one to three thousand very slowly and once you stop at three thousand I will be here.”

“But I don't know three thousand.”

“Just keep counting Alex.”

“Okay.”

“Bye.”

“What is bye?” He asked and Alexia groaned.

“It's nothing, just bye.”

“Alexia, should I stay here?”

“What? No. Go back inside and sleep and also count at the same time okay?”

“Yes.”

She smiled at him and walked out of the mansion, she walked towards her house and met her friends on the way.

“I knew it, you are coming from that mansion,” Chloe said to her and she ignored them.

“What is that mansion?” Nicki asked.

“Jeez, if you guys want to know badly why don't you just go there yourself? At least I went in and I came back safely so you guys would too.”

“Why can't you just tell us?” Chole groaned and Alexia glared at her.

“The back door to the mansion is opened, you can go in and find out yourself.” She said and walked away.

LONDON

“Yes, you can send them to documents.” Emily said on the phone as she walked out of her car.

“I am done for the day, I will go through it tomorrow.” She said and ended the call. She walked into the mansion and smiled at her mother.

“Hey, mum.” She greeted and pecked her.

“How was your day dear?”

“Stressful as always.” She sighed and head towards the stairs.

“Emily.” Her father called and she rolled her eyes at him.

“What?” She asked rudely and he sighed.

“You have to... “

“Listen, man, until you bring Alex back into this house, don't talk to me, don't even try to make me do something for you, I run your dumb company because mum and grandpa begged me to do it, not because of you and not because I care!” She yelled and walked up the stairs.

“Charlie... “

“Don't start Jessica, that boy isn't coming back here.”

“But it's been ten years and... “

“He killed every guard and maid sent to him, he is a monster.”

“He is not a monster, all he needs is help.”

“I don't care, Jessica, he can die in that building for all I care.”
