"Dear, look!" she pointed at Monica. "Lucian was also cheating on me!" she told Henry.

Henry smirked, "Of course. That’s what dogs like him do."

"Hey! He's no dog! And just who are you to call him that?" Monica questioned him.

"I'm one of the most popular actors you will ever meet, and Tracy, my dear, is also one."

"Thanks, my love. I am a A+ film movie star! I have a lot of standards that your silly side chick will never be able to beat me in." Tracy knew she had lied hard with her last few words.

"You can keep flaunting that, but I assure you, you're going to lose that role sooner than you expect," Lucian calmly told her, and added, "You even disrespected me, the owner of the production. You should expect a termination contract very soon."

Tracy broke into laughter, so did Henry and their friends that surrounded them.

"Me? Lose this role?" She laughed again. "You're really good at making things up, Lucian. I wonder what flattering words you told this innocent lady over here. I’m sure you cooked better ones."

"Can you just stop?" Monica beamed. "You’re all just being too mean and completely unreasonable. And you, his ex-wife, leave him alone. Move on or something. He hasn’t told me any lies, nor are we in a relationship. Get that straight!"

"I’m guessing he forced her to say this," someone whispered, and it was heard.

"In case you don't know, I'm the A+ City President’s daughter, and he's with me. Do you understand now?"

"What?!" Henry shook his head. That woman is the A+ City President’s daughter? What is she doing with a man like him?

"My apologies!" Henry tried to greet her properly, but he still refused to give face to Lucian. "But this man can't stay here. He's quite a problem to us, and anyone who is a problem and a bad memory to me and my love isn’t welcome here." Henry requested the guards immediately.

"He came with me. You can’t throw him out," Monica stood in front of him.

Henry frowned. “ Siding with him will taint your reputation, Princess. He’s a fraud and a liar. Guards! Seize him at once!"

The guards came as called and tried to get close to him, but Lucian stepped forward.

"You should learn to mind your business and stay out of people’s lives. I came here with her, not alone. You have zero rights to have me thrown out."

"You’re not even the owner, nor the host. Who do you think you are to threaten my stay here?!" Lucian continued. "Let me remind you that you can never ever compare to me."

Henry shot back. "You have the nerve to talk to me like that? You’ve really forgotten your place! Do I need to remind you that you are just a pest before me?"

Lucian didn't say anything this time.

"I know the emperor of Z+ City. I’ve learned a lot from him, which makes me unmatched. You don't know how rare an opportunity like that is, and I made sure to make the best of it," he said, and then slowly released his spiritual aura.

"Let me give you a glimpse of what I can do."

Lucian was untouched by his words.

Henry's spiritual pressure circulated through the ballroom, affecting everyone in it, but unfortunately, one person wasn’t affected.

Lucian. What was Henry's mid level Spiritual Pressure compared to his god like one. He didn't want to show case anything but he had no choice.

Lucian raised his gaze and released his pressure, directing it to Henry alone, so no one would get hurt.

The only person who would get the effect of that pressure was Henry

In an instant, Henry fell to his knees. Blood escaped his lips.

How? That was the only question he asked himself.

His body was weakened, all as a result of Lucian directing his spiritual pressure solely at him.

"Oh no! Henry?" Tracy crouched and helped him up. "What happened? You’re bleeding so much."

"No, I’m fine," he lied. "I’m perfectly fine. I didn’t want to get him killed, and my pressure was affecting everyone, including you, so I took it all back—injuring myself in the process."

"Oh my!" Tracy held onto him so lovingly. "You are such a kind person."

She looked at Lucian. "You should be thankful! Appreciate him for not getting you killed!"

Lucian scoffed and said, "I'd take my leave now, Miss Monica."

"What?" Monica exclaimed. "You don’t have to leave."

Lucian chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. “No, I will have to. I suggest you do the same, as the ball would be cancelled.”

“Cancelled?” Tracy asked, “Get the hell out, you are hindering the ball from happening with your presence.”

Monica turned to Henry and Tracy. “You two have got to stop all these.”

"Trust me, you are better off without that man," Tracy chipped in. "Can’t you see all that has happened just because of him?"

"It only happened because you two started it. He didn’t even pose a threat! You two should be the ones to be kicked out!"

Tracy, hurt, wanted to fire back at her, but Henry stopped her. "I want to be sorry for our actions but he’s just a problem to us."

Lucian rolled his eyes. "I will take my leave, Miss Devoe. Please have a great time in my absence."

“Wait, you can't just leave.” Monica tried to stop him.

“Oh it's fine.” His smile, still prominent as ever.

Monica couldn’t say a word. She could only nod, unhappy that he couldn’t stay.

As he made his way out, he turned and gave Tracy and Henry one last look, his smile made Henry feel uneasy.

And then he walked out.

Just as he left, the host’s voice resounded in the hall, “I am sorry to announce but we might just cancel.”

Everyone was baffled, why was it getting cancelled all of the sudden?

What went wrong?

Just as everyone wondered what the problem was, the host further announced, “The Head Of The Z+ City Film conglomerate won't be able to make it.”

“What? I spent so much on this dress.” Tracy lamented, and everyone started to leave.

Lucian was still in the car, which shocked Monica when she saw him.

“Are you still here? I thought you would have left”

Lucian chuckled. “Was about to until I saw a lot of people coming out.”

“Well thank God you didn't leave,” She got into the backseat, flustered. “Please take me home.”

“The head of the Z+ City Film Conglomerate didn't show up, so it couldn't hold.”

Lucian nodded his head and started the engine.

He was the Film Conglomerate, of course, the ball wouldn't hold without him.

They drove back to the President’s home.

"You are back?" Gerald exclaimed, a bit shocked "Did it end that fast?"

"No Gerald, something came up. Your daughter will explain more but you know what I'm here for."

Gerald hummed a bit. "Very well then."

He reached his hand into his drawer and brought out a potion he had shown him earlier. He handed it over to Lucian.

His face lit up with satisfaction. "Thank you very much. I will be on my way now."

He didn’t wait around after getting the vial, taking his leave.

Monica visited her father in his office and had a few words with him regarding Lucian.

"That man saved me today, Father. Who is he?"

“What happened?” Gerald exclaimed with shock.

“Some men tried to kidnap me,”

“What?!” Gerald slammed his fist on the table, the audacity!

“I am fine. Lucian, that man saved me from them, he's so… how do I put it for you father?” She was short of words.

Gerald heaved a sigh as he hugged his daughter. “I am so glad I made the right choice by having him escort you. I am very grateful to him, once again.”

Monica broke the hug, “Are you sure you don't know anything else about him? Something, maybe anything at all?” She was adamant to know more about him.

“I am sorry but I do not know much about Lucian,” He responded.

"I feel there’s more to him," she said before approaching the window to take in the fresh air.

"He’s no ordinary man.”

CHAPTER 161Martin had just closed for the day. He headed home that night. When he got home, he found the door unlocked. "Ugh? how's that possible?" It was very odd since he always left his door locked before heading to the hospital or the drake manor. He pushed the door open and met the TV on. His gaze swept across the room and found someone on his sofa. The moment his eyes scanned who the figure was, he frowned immediately and went straight in and shut the door. "How did you get in!" He approached the woman on his sofa. The woman, just as old as Martin except for her preserved womanly features. Her eyes were focused on the TV screen. "I am talking to you woman! what are you doing in my home!" "You told your daughter to lie to me that you weren't at the hospital the other night." She started. "I knew she was lying because you will always be at that forsaken hospital of yours." "Watch your tongues woman, you have no right to be here, take whatever you brought wit

He noticed that certain things had been touched.Someone must have been here, Lucian thought. It was very obvious to him because he remembered exactly how everything in the room was before he left the previous day. Before making any move, he remembered the security cameras were watching. He had already managed to prevent Martin from having any form of access to the footage from the previous day.It was quite simple. He had bribed the security guards. He had bought them off Martin’s hands, and now whatever he did would either be deleted before Martin could get it—or worse, it wouldn’t even be recorded at all.Lucian stepped out of his office and into the hallway. He looked around and saw nurses moving up and down. There were doctors too, heading
