Miss Julian headed towards the elevator still in shock, and picked up the phone to call the directing board.

"I need to speak with the board, immediately," she said, trying to composed herself.

Miss Julian was only allowed to the directing board conferences on special occasions and she doesn't get to choose when to and not to. The conference meeting are mainly for shareholders with exceedingly high shares.

So when Miss Julian requested to speak to the directing board physically. It was going to be a difficult request that might take days to be process.

But when they heard about someone proposing to buy the Bank, they had no choice than to let her in.

A few minutes later, Julian got out on the elevator at the 30th floor and walked into the conference room where the directing board was seated.

The hall was sleek and spacious, with a well ventilation, complimented by the floor-to-ceiling windows adoring the wall of the hall. The hall was a true definition of luxury.

Powerful figures sat across the plush chairs as they stared at Julian stepping into the conference hall.

Among the three seated shareholders, a person known as Daniel Woodson stood up and welcomed Julian respectfully. He was the youngest and almost same age as Julian.

"Welcome Miss Julian." He gestured graciously at the plush chairs, his hand extending in a gentle invitation.

Daniel Woodson has been known in Stone City as one of the sons of the most powerful figures and they can get anything they want, anytime they wants it. But it has become a difficult act to get Julian to bed. Regardless of his promises, Julian had kept it all professional.

"A kind gesture isn't your thing, Woodson," A man believed to in his 40s; Scott Hudson said, and the other giggled alongside.

Julian just pretended she didn't understand what they were saying. She just have to play it cool and keep it professional as she doesn't want to offend any of this big families.

Though she knew all the advances Daniel Woodson have been throwing at her can actually get her the life she needed, but she have been politely rejecting, even after Daniel voted for her to become a Bank Manager.

"So why the urgent call? And the proposal?"Douglas Splawn spoked. His voice boomed through hall. It was attention commanding.

"Sirs, I have a...an important proposal here. A customer has expressed interest in buying the bank." Julian started instantly.

The room fell silent, with all eyes fixated on Julian. One of the board members tapped a bottom on the boardroom table.

"Mr. Taylor and Mrs. Curry are not in the meeting today and we will like you to repeat what you just said, so they can hear you clearly." Douglas said.

"Did he say he want to buy the Bank?" Daniel Woodson asked with almost a calm voice as she stare at Julian with a smirk.

Julian nodded, "Yes, sir. That's exactly what he said. And he seems quite serious about it."

The room erupted into a mixture of shock, amusement, and confusion.

"This is absurd," Mr. Taylor exclaimed through the speakers. "We can't just sell the bank to anyone who walks in off the street."

Mr. Scott leaned forward, "I think we should at least hear him out. It's not every day we get an offer like this. Julian, can you bring him in?"

"Really? You just gonna bring a random stranger into a conference meeting? That's against our policy." Mr. Taylor expressed over the phone.

"He's not just a random stranger... He's currently our VIP customer. He made a withdrawal of $10 Million in one fold."

"$10 Million...?" They all gasped.

"Wait a minute, who is this person making such a massive offer? What's his background?" Mr. Taylor asked over the phone.

Julian, who had been quietly observing the conversation, spoke up.

"Actually, sir, I did a quick background check on him. His name is Dylan, and he's...a student. That was all on him. Nothing more."

The room fell silent, with the directing board exchanging skeptical glances.

"A student?" Taylor repeated over the phone, "How old is he?"

Julian hesitated before answering. "I think he's...21?"

The directing board burst out laughing, their initial skepticism now replaced with outright amusement. "A 21-year-old student wants to buy our bank worth tens of billions?" Daniel Woodson chuckled.

"This is ridiculous. He must be joking... And Miss Julian, you believed him? Don't tell me you don't know you're a bank manager." Douglas rained on her aggressively.

This was an opportunity to get back at her for refusing to lay with him.

Almost all the shareholders doesn't like Julian at all, because they haven't had their way with her in bed already. Only Daniel Woodson doesn't want to give up or else she might have been demoted the very moment Daniel stopped pushing.

The only indifferent person who keeps it professional was Scott Hudson.

They were all waiting for Taylor's objective response, but he murmured in disbelief. He doesn't know any powerful family with such name. It's doesn't seem like a name he knows.

"So, are we all on the same page here?" Scott asked, his eyes scanning the room for a response. "Are we actually considering selling?"

No one gave a befitting response, they were just murmuring while waiting for Taylor and Mrs. Curry's response since they have almost equal shares after Mr. Scott Hudson.

"I standing clear with Mr. Scott, whatever your decision is... I'm in. Don't have any business at hand that needs quick funding though. So whatever your decision is." Mrs Curry expressed over the phone.

"That's a done deal already..." Daniel giggled as she winked at Julian. "You two shares put together is more than ours, so the ball is in your court Scott." He hasn't said a word without smiling and staring at Julian.

Julian forcefully smiled whenever Daniel stared at her. Pretending it doesn't freak her out was what made her stood out of others that were agitating for the same managing position and many have been laid without getting the position.

"We are selling then. We've made tens of billions as profit already and we will be swimming in more profit if we sell now. Let's sell for $20 Billion, What do you all think?" Scott proposed.

"A student who is just 21 can fork out $20 Billion at once? That's an outrageous amount of money." Taylor expressed his doubts.

"A student who can withdraw $10 Million at once is worth looking into. Might be one of those wealthy clandestine folks. I'm hoping to get to know him if it's a done deal." Scott shrugged.

The discussion was heated, with some board members arguing that the offer was too low, while others believed it was a fair price.

After what felt like an eternity, the directing board finally agreed on a fixed price.

"Tell him it's $22 Billion, fixed price." Scott spoke and dismissed Julian.

The thug nodded frantically as he got no other options. Even the other thugs knew that fighting Dylan was like committing suicide. “We got a message... earlier this evening. Just the location and target, and the target is your friend, Austin. But your name was there… with a warning attached to your name.”“What kind of warning?” Dylan's tone darkened as he was already on the verge of losing patience. The cold fury in his chest wasn’t from the thugs in front of him. It was from whoever had dared to target his friends while hiding behind shadows. A coward, bold enough to pull strings from safety, but too weak to face him directly. They didn’t just pick the wrong target. They stepped into a territory they had no business entering, a line that once crossed, could never be undone. Now, there was no going back. Not for them. Not after targeting someone Dylan cared about. They hadn't just made a mistake, they have declared war...!“Start talking...!” Dylan ordered, and one doesn't need

It was a principle he had learned from the Tripods over the years, and it had saved him more times than he could count. But tonight, logic was out the window.Someone had dared to lay hands on his friend… and that was a line Dylan couldn’t allow anyone to cross. He could already tell the men standing before him were nothing more than local muscle. They were clearly paid thugs sent by someone hiding behind power. Probably someone who thought they were untouchable. That alone made Dylan's blood boil.He despised people like that. Cowards who sat behind desk or security walls, pulling strings and sending others to do their dirty work. To Dylan, they were the worst kind of threat. Ones who hid behind power instead of owning it.Dylan’s jaw tightened as he took another step forward, his presence alone was making the night heavy.“Who sent you? I won't ask again…”At this moment, Dylan's voice has lost all calmness. It w
