'Poverty is not a shame, but the lack of respect for oneself and others is.' Dylan pondered.

'You will do anything? Money indeed can buy respect.' Dylan chuckled coltishly.

People say money doesn't buy happiness or respect, well, for Dylan, money have definitely paved the way of him. Respect and power were at his fingertips all because of the money he had acquired.

Dylan's expression remained impassive as he delivered the verdict, "Given your willingness to do anything, I've decided that you'll be taking on janitorial duties from this moment."

With that, he turned on his heel and strode directly into Miss Julian's office, leaving Clara behind without a second glance.

Clara was rooted to the spot, feeling humiliated. She never expected that Dylan was not tempted by her beauty, or he's just not the same with the former shareholders who understood what "I will do anything" means.

"He asked me to become a janitor, Isn't this a demotion? But it was better than getting my image tarnished all over Stone's City." She consoled herself as she left with shame written over her face.

As Dylan approached Miss Julian's office, he heard some heated argument coming from the office. With the cruelty in the tone, it was definitely a man imposing fretful threats.

"If you don't let me have my way now, I'll ruin you and your miserable name. You know what the Woodson's family can do right?" The voice was ladened with threat.

"I don't want to you...!" Julian's voiced tumbled out in a despairing whisper.

"You don't have a choice here and you'll do as I say. Do you know if it wasn't for me, you couldn't last as a Bank Manager. You use what you've to get what you need. Go and ask about other the previous Bank Managers. So now, undress yourself."

"I'm not going to do that. I don't work for you anymore and I'm never going to let anyone have their way with me all because of some position."

Dylan could hear miss Julian's sad voice, it was like she was trying so hard to hold back a torrent of tears.

"Undress now!!! Or I will forcefully take ---"

The door burst open, and Dylan's patience snapped.

He couldn't stomach the sight of the powerful preying on the vulnerable any longer. The memories of his own past humiliations still seared his mind, and he knew he had to act.

"You will not do such a thing! Not to my Bank Manager." Each word was like a sharp razor cutting through the air and piercing through Daniel Woodson's ear.

When Julian saw Dylan, the burden of unshed tears that had welled up on her eyes streamed down uncontrollably.

Dylan wrapped his arms around her, shielding her from harm.

"Did he hurt you?" he asked, his voice low and gentle.

"No..."She shook her head, and responded with a voice laced with sadness.

"So you're the new Chairman, the College student who bought the famous bank in Stone's City. You look too young and inexperienced to fight a Woodson." A wicked smirk extended over his face.

"I never knew a Woodson will use power to intimidate and rape a girl." Dylan responded sarcastically.

"You don't talk about my family like that, do you---"

Dylan cuts instantly with with a fierce visage that induced fear, "I'm disappointed in you. If this goes out that a Woodson try to rape a girl, don't you think that blemish will take forever to be removed."

Daniel was oblivious to Dylan's family background, but the confident tone he used sent a shiver down his spine. He wondered if Dylan might be from one of those influential families rumored to be untouchable, capable of toppling even the most powerful clans with ease.

Daniel's eyes remained fixed on Dylan, his face filled with a mix of fear and shame, as he quietly exited the room.

'He just walked out like that? I thought he's going to cause problem because of how powerful his family is. Oh my God, Dylan is not just ordinary. For him to fret a Woodson means a lot.'

Julian couldn't help but fantasize about Dylan's temperaments. Even though he was in shabby outfits, his top notch confidence accentuate his handsome.

Everything replayed in her mind, and she couldn't help than held firmly to Dylan who was a bit taller than her. Then the part of "Not to my Bank Manager" struck her and she jolted from her fantasy.

"Oh... Uhm, Thank you. You're such a darling and you said something about me being your Bank Manager, you didn't mean that right?"

"I do. I'm just a college student and I might barely have time, so I'm leaving the Bank under your supervision."

"What?! You mean I get to supervise every activity in here?" Her cheek flushed with a deep shade of redness.

"Yes!"

"Mr. Dylan, I won't disappoint you, I promise! "A radiant smile spread across her face and all she could think about was hugging him tight and kissing him till forever. But she had to keep it professional.

After Julian left to get the handover papers, Dylan decided to check the system, but no screen showed up, then he decided to think about it and boom!

Ding!

Dylan ignored all the grey tab and focused on the main scream but his eyes glued to the power points.

"Woah... 221 power points. I can upgrade with that right? How do I level up with that? Isn't this system supposed to be talking to me?"

Dylan was puzzled, but then he decided to touched the power point.

A notification suddenly appeared, indicating that 100 power points had been added to his Strength, upgrading it from Weak to Normal.

Additionally, his RANK increased, moving from 1 to Level 1/10.

He felt a brief surge of heat in his body, followed by a noticeable development of his abdominal muscles.

A few minutes later, he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror inside Julian's office and was astonished to see a more muscular version of himself that accentuated his handsome.

"Whoa, is that really me? I look incredible! The Infinite System is amazing!" He couldn't help but gaze at his reflection with great admiration.

"I need to ditch these old clothes, they don't do justice to my new physique. The world is about to witness a whole new me!"

The thug nodded frantically as he got no other options. Even the other thugs knew that fighting Dylan was like committing suicide. “We got a message... earlier this evening. Just the location and target, and the target is your friend, Austin. But your name was there… with a warning attached to your name.”“What kind of warning?” Dylan's tone darkened as he was already on the verge of losing patience. The cold fury in his chest wasn’t from the thugs in front of him. It was from whoever had dared to target his friends while hiding behind shadows. A coward, bold enough to pull strings from safety, but too weak to face him directly. They didn’t just pick the wrong target. They stepped into a territory they had no business entering, a line that once crossed, could never be undone. Now, there was no going back. Not for them. Not after targeting someone Dylan cared about. They hadn't just made a mistake, they have declared war...!“Start talking...!” Dylan ordered, and one doesn't need

It was a principle he had learned from the Tripods over the years, and it had saved him more times than he could count. But tonight, logic was out the window.Someone had dared to lay hands on his friend… and that was a line Dylan couldn’t allow anyone to cross. He could already tell the men standing before him were nothing more than local muscle. They were clearly paid thugs sent by someone hiding behind power. Probably someone who thought they were untouchable. That alone made Dylan's blood boil.He despised people like that. Cowards who sat behind desk or security walls, pulling strings and sending others to do their dirty work. To Dylan, they were the worst kind of threat. Ones who hid behind power instead of owning it.Dylan’s jaw tightened as he took another step forward, his presence alone was making the night heavy.“Who sent you? I won't ask again…”At this moment, Dylan's voice has lost all calmness. It w
