Draven stepped out of the taxi in front of a small, rundown motel on the edge of the city. The neon sign flickered above the door, buzzing like an angry insect.

He paid the driver with the last few crumpled bills from his pocket and walked inside.

The lobby smelled of old cigarettes and cheap cleaner. The man behind the counter barely looked up from his phone.

"Single room for one night," Draven said. His voice came out steady even though his body still ached in places.

The clerk named a price. Draven handed over the money without arguing. As he took the key card, he felt the system screen pop up again in his mind.

[Balance: $10,000,000]

He almost laughed out loud. Ten million dollars. Just like that. Yesterday he counted every coin for gas. Today he could buy the whole motel if he wanted.

The room was nothing special. A creaky bed, a small TV, and a bathroom with tiles that had seen better days.

Draven locked the door, dropped onto the bed, and let out a long breath. The bruises on his ribs and face throbbed, but they felt lighter than before. The system had already started fixing him.

He closed his eyes and focused on the floating words only he could see.

"System, show me everything," he whispered.

A clear panel appeared.

Draven sat up slowly. Revenge sounded good. Real good. But he needed a plan. He could not just walk back to the hotel and start swinging. Jax had bodyguards and money. Draven now had something better — real power and a way to grow it.

He stood and walked to the mirror. His lip was still split and one eye looked puffy, but the bleeding had stopped completely.

He touched his ribs. The sharp pain had turned into a dull ache. Not bad for someone who got kicked like a dog a few hours ago.

A knock sounded at the door.

Draven tensed. Who would come here this late? He moved quietly to the peephole and looked out.

A young woman stood in the hallway. She wore the motel uniform — a simple shirt and pants — and carried fresh towels.

Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, and she looked tired but pretty in a natural way. Maybe twenty-three or twenty-four. Not like the polished girls at the fancy hotel, but she had soft features and a gentle smile.

He opened the door.

"Hi, room service brought extra towels," she said. Her eyes widened a little when she saw his bruised face.

"Oh no... are you okay? Did something happen?"

Draven felt a small warmth spread through his chest.

That had to be the Charm Aura working already. She seemed concerned instead of scared or annoyed.

"Yeah, rough night," he said simply. "Thanks for the towels."

She handed them over but did not leave right away. "If you need ice or anything, just call the front desk. My name is Lena. I work the night shift."

"Lena," he repeated. The name felt nice on his tongue. "I might take you up on that."

She smiled shyly and turned to go. As she walked away, Draven noticed the way she glanced back once. Interesting. Even with a bruised face, she looked at him longer than most girls would.

He closed the door and sat back down. Time to get serious.

First, he opened the banking app on his cracked phone. The ten million was really there. No joke. He transferred two thousand dollars to a new account just to test it. It went through instantly.

Next, he thought about clothes. His delivery uniform was torn and bloody. He could not walk around looking like a beaten dog if he wanted respect.

"System, any shop or way to get new stuff fast?"

The system answered in his head.

[Host can use wealth freely. Nearby 24-hour stores exist. Or unlock Shopping Mall Function later with higher level.]

Draven decided to keep it simple for now. He changed into the cleanest parts of his old clothes and headed out on foot. A big supermarket a few blocks away stayed open all night.

Inside, he grabbed new jeans, a black shirt, a jacket, and some basic toiletries. At the counter, the cashier — a bored guy in his twenties — rang him up.

"That will be eighty-seven dollars," the cashier said.

Draven paid with cash from the motel. As he took the bag, he felt eyes on him. A woman in the next line stared openly. She was older, maybe thirty, dressed nicely like she came from a late office job. She smiled when their eyes met.

The Charm Aura again. Draven gave her a small nod and walked out. He could get used to this.

Back in the motel room, he showered and changed.

The hot water felt amazing on his sore muscles. When he looked in the mirror again, he looked cleaner and sharper. The bruises were fading faster than normal. Good.

He lay on the bed and checked the system once more.

[First Mission progress: 0%]

[Tip: Small actions build points. Humiliate your enemies publicly. Show your new strength. Attract worthy women.]

Draven smiled coldly. Mia and Jax would pay soon. But not tonight. Tonight he needed rest and a clear head.

As he drifted toward sleep, the system spoke again.

[Daily Sign-in Reward available tomorrow morning. Streak starts at 1.]

He closed his eyes. For the first time in a long while, he felt excited about waking up.

The old Draven — the guy who begged for love and worked himself to the bone for scraps — was gone. This new one had money, power, and a clear path.

Tomorrow he would start moving.

Tomorrow the city would begin to notice Draven Quill.

And Mia? She would regret everything when she saw what he became.
