Chapter 9, Goodbye.

The next day, the early mornings of city rose were never that different from the noons and evenings, dark clouds covered the sky and the rain came from above as if the heavens desire to drown the city and its inhabitants.

Elias grunted a bit as he felt the cold chill mixed in with the slight warm atmosphere of the morning, he felt a strange presence watching him but he was too exhausted to pay attention to it at the moment.

Shadow bit his lower lip and clenched he’s fist till his bones creaked, he gazed hatefully at Elias laying in the bed with his arms around Zeldas waist, they both slept together last night and unknowingly started to cuddle at some point.

Shadows only wish at the moment was to rip Elias to shreds, but he couldn’t do that or more like he doesn’t dare to try cause the mage Angel was standing right next to him with an ambiguous smile on her face, Always knew my son will be a lady killer.

But in the end she had to wake them up before shadow completely lost he’s mental sanity and risked it all to kill Elias.

They both didn’t really react when they woke up, of course it was because they were both too young to mind sleeping together or to realize that a male and female only share a bed when they have a special relationship with each other.

...

Some time later, Elias stood before the mirror in his room and quietly gazed at his reflection, but he wasn’t looking to admire himself, what he admired was the wound shadow gave him the other day, not only has it completely healed but it didn’t even leave a scar.

At that moment the door to the room opened with a creak, “Elias, shadow says it’s time we left”.

Zelda had her cloak on but this time she didn’t cover her face.

“Hm, let’s go”.

......

Downstairs.

Elias held Zeldas soft hand as they prepared to bid each other farewells, the rain softened, almost stopping completely which safely allowed them to stand outside.

Angel stood right next to Elias clearly trying to protect him cause shadow over there kept on staring daggers at him, he’s expression was incredibly over exaggerated, like chill man the kids are just holding hands, he’ll give you back your young lady after they’re done.

“Miss Angel”.

“Hm”. Zelda succeed in drawing Angel out of her stupor.

“Thank you for looking after me, I wish I could stay a little longer but shadow is at his limits”. She said with a mischievous smile.

Angel chuckled a-bit, “Yeah, you guys keep holding hands like that and even I won’t be able to stop him”.

The trio laughed as shadows eyes twitched even more, clearly he was about to snap.

“Zelda, I’ll be going to the academy of magic in the next two years, we can meet up there and look out for one another”.

Zelda’s eyes widened, “that will be great, we can play more hide and seek then, but two years seem like a really long time”.

“I’m afraid it can’t be helped, Elias doesn’t have magic yet, it will take two years to completely prepare him for it, of course you can go on ahead of him, that way you can be he’s senior in the academy. Angel said.

“No, you have to be fifteen to join the military academy of magic, and I’m thirteen now so two years from now just happened to be the perfect time”.

Elias sighed in relief on the inside, he didn’t want to have to call Zelda senior when he joins a year later from her.

Angel and Elias waved goodbye as Zelda and shadow left, at last shadow could rest easy knowing that little womanizing brat isn’t close to he’s young miss, but again they’ll meet in the next two years, I’ve got to start training the young miss to stay away from men, yes! Men are horrible creatures.

Elias and Angel went back inside, for Elias to join the academy he needed to start training from today, the people in the academy are all gifted in their own right, even Elias will only be getting in on Angel’s recommendation.

“So how do I become a mage”. Elias asked straight away.

Angel felt a headache coming up,”Elias, let’s first start with this”. Angel said while retrieving a chained necklace from her waitress pocket.

“What’s this”. Elias said, the necklace was light and seemed cheap, it was also in the shape of a rose, a black rose.

“That was on you when I found you, I don’t know if it helps but if you ever decide you want to know who your parents were before the accident, then that should be of use”.

“I see”. Elias silently gazed at the necklace in his hands, but does he want to find out about dead people, at this moment he put up a resolute expression, he put the necklace around he’s neck and said to Angel,”it doesn’t matter, my old family is dead, you’re my only family now”.

Angel smiled and nodded, “acceptance was the first step, now to start training your body.

“My body”.

“Yeah, sit”.

Elias sat down in a lotus position and Angel sat behind him, she put her hands on his back and closed her eyes, “Brace yourself”.

The moment Angel said that yellow lightning cruised through her and into Elias, he immediately frowned, it seemed to be hurting him a-bit, but he could still handle it.

A few moments later she stopped, Elias was left drenched to his underwear. “What was that”. He said while panting.

“Mana”. Angel replied, also a little out of breath.

“Why?”.

“Don’t worry about that for now, just think of it as me storing it in you till you can use it”.

“What now”. Elias asked after catching he’s breath.

“Now you run”. Angel said with a smirk. “I’ll even give you a five second head start

”Eh”. Elias was stunned for moment, but the instant yellow lightning started filling the house he quickly bolted out and began a mad dash towards the closest crowded space.

Boooooom.

The guards of the city gates sighed deeply with helpless looks on their faces. The card game on their table scattered as a result of Elias and Angle’s daily routine.” Sighhhhh, Here we go again”.

Boooooom, Zeeeeeep, Reeeeeeep, Boooooom.
