The Chosen One's Part 1

Chapter 5

This time it was not as surprising as the first time, and there was no change in the information; it was the same as the first time, except now he was able to read it slowly and try to understand the meaning of what he saw in front of him. Now, though the last line was different, the information was as follows:

Nam: Julian

Age: 14

Race: Human

Rank: apprentice

Status: healthy

Skills: Detection - Foresight

Gifts: Sight-Night Visions

Grade: 1

Phase: 1

Points: 1

Inventory:  (four items)

Remarks: Temp

Mission: Survive

Duration: 24 hours and 54 minutes.

Reward: 200 credits.

That means since he came to this forest, it's been only six minutes only, though it looked like more than half an hour for him. Thinking to himself, he said, "At least some time has passed, and all I am required to do is survive." The question is, will he be able to do just that? It's not just, "Just survive." How is it that simple? He knew from the beginning that it was not. He recalled the first message of recruitment.

A volunteer is required for a simple experiment.

Time frame: 24 hours.

200 credits as a reward.

Note: If you extend your stay for an extra day, you will receive the same amount as a reward.

He thought, so if running with my life is a simple experiment and nothing seems to be the way it is at moments, the only solution he has is to go forward and see what happens. One thing was obvious to him, and that was to do his best to survive whatever came at him. Now the issue is where to go from here, there were no instructions on the screen in front of him, and the intimidating aura that he felt was real, if that thing, whatever it was, wanted to kill him, he would have been dead already.

Everything around him looks the same; all are tall, huge trees, so he decided just to keep on going forward wherever it takes him, and he has to make a large distance between him and whatever that dangerous thing was. As soon as he started moving, another screen appeared in front of him again, but this one was just an arrow pointing straight. This sudden appearance of the screen didn't shock him this time, even though he didn't slow down his speed, it appears that his wish for direction came through, and at least he has a destination to go to now.

There was nothing for him to hesitate about, so he kept going straight and followed wherever the arrow turned left or right. It didn't take him long to hear the sound of clashing metals, he was unable to know what was going on there or what the sound was that he was hearing, but the arrow was pouring towards there and there was no way to avoid it.

What came to his sight was something that he had never thought about in his short life, he saw two men fighting with something that looked like a sword, and there was a third man standing a short distance from them watching, and two more men laying down on the ground.

All he could do was just stand there. And watch also, regardless of his desire to run away and stay as far as he could from whatever was going on, but unfortunately the arrow was still pointing straight, but instead of blinking like when he was walking now it was steady, which made him understand that he meant to stay here and stand until whatever happened happens. At least he was confident that if the need arises, he can run disregarding the simple in productive instruction, which means the arrow, because that was the only instruction he received so far.

The same voice as before rang in his head once more, but now with another strange piece of information, the voice started in a slow base tone and said the following:

Skill Activated.

Skill Name: Detection

Skill level: 1

Skill Description

The detection skill enables you to detect and receive any relevant information available on any living being or on any items you cast the skill on.

Skill level 1 enables you to cast the skill in a limited area of twenty square meters.

The skill level can be upgraded through practice and continued use, and with each level it goes up, the radios will increase.

Skill casting: all you need to do in order to activate the skill is look at the target and say silently or loudly, "Detect." Then you receive the relevant information about the target. If the information is available.

After the voice ended, the screen appeared once more in front of him, but with more information now that included what he just heard, with a slight difference: this time it was more detailed.

"And Ayuma, Please call the head of the council, Mr. Enigma, and tell him to meet me here as soon as possible." At that time she heard a sound similar to thunder, or maybe it was thunder, but usably the lightning and thunder come for the sky with a storm or rain but not in a confide or an open space near the ground; the circle was actually above the ground and was almost two and a half meters above ground. From this distance, nobody was able to guess the size of it, but since it was almost three kilometers outside of the city and was visible that much from that distance, it was obvious that it was huge; everyone was able to see it was palpitating like a heart from that distance. The movement of the muddy cloud inside the circle was so ominous that everyon

Chapter 37 Beginning of the Invasion Part 1B Emika's point of view This was the worst nightmare I have been seeing, and I really wished it was just a nightmare, but it was not; it was a reality, a fact in front of my eyes. The thing I was referring to as a portal was forming in the same location I have been seeing it in my dreams, or, to say it correctly, my nightmares. And the reason I am referring to it as a portal is because I knew it was, because I saw it with my own closed eyes at that time, the monsters coming out of it, which indicates that it was a portal of some kind. I have been afraid my dreams would come true, and I didn't wish for it, but somehow I had the feeling that whatever I saw would happen, but I hoped it would be in a different day and time, a time when I was better prepared for it and was able to take some kind of countermeasure for it. I have no idea what kind of countermeasure I could have been able

He was staring at a black portal that was enormous, over four meters tall and ten meters wide, with a black square shape instead of the typical gateway portals seen on this planet. It was both smokey and liquid-like at the same time, and he was unable to determine what material it was composed of. It was moving like a live entity with a pulsating heart, but it was not changing shape. In a matter of seconds, it gained shape and materialized in front of him at the location the youngster had indicated. He felt a terrible sensation throughout his body. This is what the young man was talking about. He told himself, "So it's all true then," confirming the first thing the boys had mentioned. "The time was the next thing he confirmed, and it was true too." He had the chance to glance at the clock now t

Or at least why? if he is not doing anything, why did he help the girls? Aren't they his companions? At least they have been together more the rest of them, Regardless of their meeting in the forest, as they said, Murad shook his head like he was dropping the questions that filled it and went to the boy. Aden stood up when he saw Murad approaching him and smiled while saying, "It's embarrassing to say that, seeing you came to help me, but I am actually leaving the tent here that way I didn't dismantle it." Murad was not expecting to hear that at all. While the surprise was showing on his face, he asked, "Can I ask you why?" Aden didn't expect to be asked that question either, so he hesitated for a second and

He knows two of my skills not just one but two. That is ridiculous. I have been shocked. In a manner I never had before, if it were anybody else in front of me telling me that, the first reaction that would accrue to me would have been to cut his head immediately, without even getting the opportunity to get questioned about where he got the information. But fortunately or unfortunately, the one who said that was a child, although the expression on my face changed and my hand was on the gun and the sword in my waist, a complete involuntary reaction from my side. It took me nearly a minute to gather myself and regain my composure. During this time, I came to the realization that someone else must have informed him about my skills. Therefore

That was the only word that came out of his mouth, and then all he did was stare at the man standing beside him, although his body was shaking, like somebody who is scared or feeling cold, but his eyes were totally blank, like a blind guy who is just looking but not seeing anything. From the blank way he was looking at him, the emperor noticed that the boy was looking at something else, and most probably he also got, "The lost art." As one of the few humans on this planet who has knowledge of "the lost art" and has learned a few of its skills, he can tell that this boy has it. This is his first encounter with not one but two unexpected individuals in an expected situation with unexpected knowledge. While Juian was talking to the emperor, the skill foresight was activated, and he was not actually looking at or talking to the em
