The forest is a natural habitats of beast. The host have fought against these beasts to survive and forge a path in the martial way.

However, these beasts that have attacked the host is beast that were drugged.

They suffer in pain and killing them is an act of mercy. As the host had chosen to side with the heroic path, these act of mercy would increase the reputation of the host toward the heroic path

Li Xin was just about to marvel at the fact that the reward is a Medium Gift Pack when another wolf charges towards him.

This time the wolf is bigger than the last one and his claws is even sharper. The same could be said for its teeth

Li Xin could see if he gets bitten by that teeth, his skin would easily be ripped apart

But there is not even a fluctuation in his heartbeat. His eyes are focused and a temperament of a master emanated out of him.

He moves his feet and a dazzling footwork follows.

The wolf charged into nothing but air.

Li Xin sidestepped but when he sidestepped he looked so graceful like a carefree immortal and when the foot moves it was as natural as the wind blowing.

Li Xin did not halt moving. Using the force generated from him moving to the side, the force moves toward the hand, the hand guided the sword, the sword moves, a light flew and the sword moves upward.

A swift cut excited, and a sound of tear sounded

The three feet sword thrusted forward, and victory and defeated defined within one touch, life and death are only an inch apart.

The wind blows gently as the head of the wolf fly up into the air before falling down a few second later.

Li Xin smiles.

‘I was just about to contemplate on how much you are worth and you are already impatient to die’

Li Xin did not have anyone to trash talk to so he simply trash talk to these animals. He knows that these beasts could not understand him

But, hey, every great hero must have his origin.

And how could he be a great hero if he does not know how to trash talk.

This is him, practicing his trash talk.

Since he decided to take it easy and trying to enjoy the little things, he tries to find the funny side to things.

Even in his current situation.

Li Xin might not be the greatest master of martial arts after one week but he is quite sure that in the world right now, he is probably the one that advanced the fastest.

Only a few second had passed and two wolves had already been dead. One was split apart into two, the other was decapitated with one slash of the sword.

Most beast by now would retreat by now, triggering their fight or flight response.

But, the wolves just became angrier and more rabid and by now most of the wolves in the small caves had already gather on the entrance.

Then another one came and Li Xin smiles and nodded

‘That’s the way’ and he laughed, his laugh creates an echo

He dodges and kick the wolf to the side. It is a kick that is imbued with inner energy so the moment his kick connected, the ribs of the wolf broke and its small heart explodes

Many of them is now coming out from the wolf, some of them are trying to encircle him while growling at him

‘Idiot!’ he said to the wolves.

‘The tone is not quite right’ he said to himself.

He is now practicing to give his shout a bit of authoritative figure vibes while also seemingly being stern

‘I guess if I practice it a few more times, my trash talk would be better’ he said to himself

And of course, while he tries to inject some nonchalant attitude in his methods, his mind is quite serious in assessing threat

It would have been better to wait for him to go inside and attack him where he could not make use of the space around it

But what did he expect from drugged up wolves. It is good enough that they even think of trying to encircle him.

‘Bigger but not better’ many of these wolves is large and some of them is look like bears.

Li Xin did not freeze up or panicked even when he is being encircled. Whether it be one or a dozen wolves, his heart did not move.

One with the World state is a state of him feeling like One with the World. It is quite a self-explanatory level.

He could feel the wind brushing his cheeks, the grass that sways on his ankles, the sound of the bamboo tress swaying left and right, and he could sense the attack that is about to come.

A wolf lunges toward him, its sharp teeth is trying to maul him to death. His energy flowed up from his meridian, gathering to his fingers and feet., he moves to the left.

This is one of the few lightness skills that he has that is not yet modified to a higher level. But it is enough to deal with this pack of wolves

But Li Xin did not use it to close his distances but sidestepped the enemy

The system is not ridge and so is the technique he learns. Just because the system didn’t say he could use it to dodge an attack did not mean that he could not do it to dodge an attack

Most of the features of the martial skill that he had learned, all of them is something that he must find out for himself.

The wolf attack missed him, its body passes by him, and Li Xin casually waves his sword.

 A powerful and swift force seems to sweep the wolf and before the wolf could land on the ground, a small thin line appears on its neck and when it landed, the foot taps the ground, the heads rolled down the grass, the blood spurted coloring the green grass red.

The other wolves lunge towards him from all direction. Li Xin only smiles

The other wolf that saw the dead of one of their pack did not halt. They howled even louder, their eyes fierce and they become even more vicious

They all charged him their howling fills the area calling more of their kind probably.

Li Xin on the other hand just casually waves his sword left and right.

At times when a wolf lunges toward him, he would sidestep to the left or right and the wolf attack would always miss him by an inch.

They could not even scratch even one piece of fabric from his white robe.

That inch is the difference between life and death. The sword rise, a head flow up. The sword light flashes and a life is taken.
