Chapter 07: Other Skills

Li Xin brought out a dagger. Even though he uses sword most of the time, this did not mean that he could uses sword. Instead, he also had Other Skills

Other Skill is skill that is gained by practicing certain martial arts or skills that will not help in martial arts paths

It could be bought in the System Store. The price for the ranking up of the Other Skill is different.

Some would be pricey. Some would be cheaper. But, the one thing that is consistent is that if one wanted to master the skill to grandmaster rank, the skill point is usually a lot

Like martial skill, the Other Skill also could be rank up and it has five ranks. The Beginner, Apprentice, Expert, master and Grandmaster rank

And his proficiency with Dagger is at Master Rank. It is a pity that he could not buy the Li Flying Daggers. If he could, this alone could make his plans easier.

But to kill wolf, that is very easy for him. A dagger appears on his hand and he grips it lightly. This is also one of his trump card. The enemy did not know that he could bring out weapon from the system space so he could easily change his weapon during the fight.

As he is thinking about his glorious future, the wolf once again leaps toward the tree. This time, Li Xin could see from the force of that wolf jumping, it would reach the branch

But Li Xin only smiles at this

His hand shots out the dagger

Shritt!

The sound of the air tearing echoes in that small area. It flies out like a bolt of thunder, full of force and swift.

Even though it is the day, the sun overhead, if one did not look at the dagger carefully, one would miss it.

It was like Li Xin sword slash; it flashes by like a fast light.

The dagger flies toward the charging wolf and it pierces the wolf left eye.

HOWL!!

The wolf howls in pain, but aa second later a flash appears and the wolf fall back down to the ground.

The area around the socket of its eyes is completely gone, like someone had drilled a hole with a large piercing device.

As for the shot that kills the wolf, it is another dagger that shot straight toward the wolf head, boring down a hole in the wolf skull and pierces the wolf brain

Li Xin is still standing there on the branch, and his breath had calmed down. Most of his inner energy had been replenished.

Smiling, he said to himself

‘It is time to end this’

He looks at the surrounding and while they are still many wolves, he is quite sure he could kill all of these wolves easily.

He jumps down the tree, gently falling down like a feather. He then raises his sword and pointed it toward the snarling wolves in the distance.

Two wolves jump towards him and Li Xin executed a spiral sword slash, two sword light flew, the sound of skin tearing and the sound of falling follows.

Two wolf dies in a matter of second, the difference of life and death determined by the swinging of the sword.

At the tip of the sword, a droplet of blood slides down beautifully.

 The shine of the sunshine falls upon him amidst the shade of the leave and the sunlight also seems to be reflected from the sharpness of the edges of his sword.

Li Xin only smiles as another wolf jumps toward him.

He takes one step forward, the grass sways gently even though his movement look rough and forceful, yet the wind around his feet seems to spiral like it was in accordance to the natural law of Heaven and Earth

Li Xin hand moves like a swishing movement, gentle and elegant, and following the hand, is the sword movement

As the hand movement is gentle and elegant, the sword also became gentle and elegant.

Blood spurted, the wolf that had charges toward him had a line in its neck, thin and hard to see. But that was a sword slash.

It was so precise and so perfect that it is hard to see that the neck had been sliced if not for the fact that the wolf falls just in front of Li Xin feet and had its neck spurting out blood

He then come near the first wolf he kill with the dagger and then crouch down to get the two dagger that he stuck on that wolf

He did not want to waste his dagger. Even though it did not cost much in the system store, it is still money.

Even though he come from a rich family in his other life, he is still quite frugal in spending. And there are still many things he wanted to buy in the System Store

But as he was crouching of course, the wolves would not just leave him alone.

A few wolves jumped towards him but it was not like Li Xin wasted his time.

He quickly retrieved the dagger.

Smiling leisurely, he kicks the ground forward, the soil blows up to the air, but his body flew backward like someone had a string on his back and pulls him backward.

The wolf claws swipe the air as it landed on the ground

Li Xin then stops his glides by putting pressure on his feet and dragged a bit of dirt on the ground on the back of his shoes

His shoe is no longer the straw shoes he wears in the beginning but leather made with blue color, making him look like a refined gentleman.

Li Xin stop his gliding backward and then look at the two wolves just a few feet from him and he could not help but chuckles

Behind him, there is the forest and there are no wolves. In front of him there is a lot of wolves. But of course Li Xin would not run

After all, this is all points to him.

This place is a bit away from the caves. At least, he had managed to raw them out from the cave.

It is better when the battle is in an open space like this. Blood had drenches the green grass red. It was just like the scene in front of the cave only it was recreated back in this area of the forest

Even though the blood of the wolves fills the area, there is not even a drop of blood on his clothes and on his sword.

Another wolves lunges forward. This time Li Xin did not simply swing his sword. Instead, he kicks the ground behind him

BOOM!

The ground behind him exploded as he dashes forward with stabbing motion.

The sun reflected the gleam of his sword, straight like an arrow flying through the air, his feet were lift up from the ground about a few inches, looking like he is riding the wind.

His stabbing motion stab the wolf that lunges toward. Blood spurted towards him but he waves his left hand, a gust of wind exploded out and the blood splashed to the side.

Even in this moment, Li Xi seems to be unstained by the mortal world. That is how easy it was for him against these wolves.

He closes his eyes suddenly.

Usually this kind of method would get him killed. But he is not against a swordsman of the same level and he also wanted to try one thing

Even though his inner energy skill is not that beneficial for him, there is a few things that he had found out by himself.

The eyes are closed, but the ears are opens and the other senses that he has all seems to become alive.

He hears the sound of the rustling leaves, the footsteps of the wolves, feeling the sensation of wind changing and in it he found patterns of wind that changes when someone moves across the wind stream.

It is hard to explain it in words. He just knows it. Some people said when you close off one senses, the other senses become more sensitive.

They were not wrong

His eyes are closed but his sense alive more than ever. In his senses, he could sense that two wolf is charging towards him from his left and right

He smiles, his eyes still closed

And then he makes his move

he taps his feet on the ground. He taps lightly but when he jumps upwards, a great force upward is generated.

Launching to the sky, it was like he was a flying swallow, and in the air he somersaulted, creating an arc, his body like a pendulum swinging, his sword moves, its sharpness that could cut normal armor like paper bisected the wolf.

In that exchange, only two second passes and if one could see it, the sword slash that cut the wolf is so fast that one could only see the sword light

He opens his eyes, the wolf split apart, the sword is now free. Behind him there is another wolf that was waiting for him to land in the ground

But Li Xin did not intend to come down to the ground just yet. He kicks the air and the duration he is in air extended.

He moves his body in the air freely, spinning in the air, two dagger flies like a soaring phoenix, straight at the wolf head, drilling deep into the wolf brain.

The head of the wolf exploded and Li Xin landed.

And as he landed, his footwork is executed, striding on the wind, retreating backwards, his sword swinging left and right, killing one wolf with each step taken backward, sword light flying left and right

Blood spurted into the ground, the howls of the wolves become sparser and the shrieking of the wolves is the only sound that seems to be louder than the howls.
