Chapter 17: Power Level

Li Xin reads the description of the reputation window a few times but he sighed.

‘Is there no bonuses or anything other than increasing the gains of points?’ he thought to himself.

He just shakes his head and move on.

The effect is not too bad.

Maybe if he were to have higher ranking titles when he does a certain quest involving the righteous faction or a righteous deed, the points would be doubled or tripled.

That is how he console himself.

Then he looks at his title.

‘Title, huh. I guess I am still a little tadpole in the huge lake’ he thought to himself.

Title is gained by the collective agreement of many people in Wulin. It could help him generate points automatically. The more famous, the more points.

His title right now is Wandering Hero. And that is why he called himself a little tadpole.

Even though he could be considered a genius in inner energy since he is only fifteen but already having thirty years of inner energy, since no one knows about him, he did not have any more powerful title.

Power Level is upgraded by using martial skill points and have twenty power levels. Each power level has five ranks that has to be upgraded before going to the next power level

The five ranks are Beginner that required 1 Skill Points. Apprentice required 2 Skill Points. Expert Required 3 Skill Points. Master Required 4 Skill Points and Grandmaster Required 5 skill points

He then looks at the first power level that he had activated.

It is Weak Body and Mind.

Weak Body and Mind [1-5]. One to five shows how much it could be rank up until it reached the limit. The limit of Weak Body and Mind is five years of inner energy

(the number indicates years of internal energy training or how powerful one internal energy converted into years)

This means that Weak in Body and Mind has to be level up five time.

Each time it is ranked up, it corresponded to having the power of one year of internal energy.

He then looks at the next power level that he had skipped before which is the Lacking Comprehension [6-10]

Up to here, there is no ability that is unlocked. Even Li Xin at that time thought that when he broke through the limits of certain power level, all he gets is more inner energy

That alone is good enough.

But it wasn’t until he broke through to Understanding Oneself that he knows that he could get abilities as he ascends higher in the power level.

The third rank of power level is Understanding Oneself.

Beginner level martial arts need to pay (25) twenty-five points to modify the skill. The higher the mastery of the level of that technique at the time of modifying the skill, the lower this price will become

Intermediate level martial arts need to pay (45) forty-five points to modify the skill. The higher the mastery of the level of that technique at the time of modifying the skill, the lower this price will become

High level martial arts need to pay (60) sixty points to modify the skill. The higher the mastery of the level of that technique at the time of modifying the skill, the lower this price will become

Master level martial arts need to pay (80) eighty points to modify the skill. The higher the mastery of the level of that technique at the time of modifying the skill, the lower this price will become

Supreme skill could only be modified based on his own understanding of the martial path] 

Li Xin only smiles looking at this. he had use this ability many times like how he modified his introductory level martial arts to reach until supreme skill and that is his One Sword skill.

Of course that is not the only skill that he had modified.

He then looks below the Lacking Comprehension power level. It is the Diamond in the Rough

The Diamond in the Rough is the next realm. He broke through it when he reaches sixteen years of inner energy. Like the other power level, it is in the increment of five

To break through to the next realm, he first needs to raise the inner energy to twenty years of inner energy.

And when he reaches twenty-one years of inner energy, then he would break through to the next realm

The Diamond in the Rough also gave him a few skills. But at that time he did not check it too much.

This time he decided to read it.

Diamond In the Rough [15-20]

[Host has reached Diamond in the Rough grandmaster rank, possessing powerful internal energy.

Rewarded with the ability to create an Imposing presence. Also with the qualitative change and the beneficial effects of internal energy, the host potential is unearthed, making it easier to learn martial arts skill of this world.

To create an Imposing Presence, it would use up Fame Points of Infamy Point when it remains active.

Depending on the host alignment, the effect would be different.

If the host is one of the righteous path, the Imposing Presence would be very effective against heterodox and evil path practitioner, countering their momentum and make those who is faint hearted hesitate in attacking because of fear.

As for the Imposing presence effect on the righteous path, it would boost morale and fills them with courage. The opposite is also true]

‘Ah, I forgot about this’ he thought to himself. He forgot that his fame points and infamy points could be used like this.

He just shakes his head. This time he read it and forge it into his mind. After all, even though it had this function, he must remember it to use it.

It is not like some game where all the abilities you had is on the bottom where you could click F1, F2 to activate the skill

Even though the learning of the skill is very easy for him, he still has to remember how to execute it.

For his martial skill, since all of them is at grandmaster level, there is rarely a mistake when he makes a move.

But for some other abilities that is bestowed to him by the system he had to remember to use it for it to have any use.

He then checks another power level. This is the realm below One with the World. As for this one, he had some familiarity with it

It is Seeking the Path.

When he broke through to twenty-one years of inner energy reserve, he broke to Seeking the Path.

And only after he broke through to twenty-five years of inner energy reserve, that he could break through to One with the World

Unlike the other realm description, Li Xin did not skip much and he did read it. Because, this realm gave him the most useful ability.

Li Xin smiles as he clicks the description of the realm again.

‘After all, since I am checking my power level, it is better to be thorough’ he thought to himself

He clicked it and a status window of the description pop up in front of his face

Seeking the Path [21-25]

Host has reached Seeking the Path grandmaster rank, possessing powerful internal energy. Because of the amount of the host internal energy, the host is now unlocking more new abilities.

Rewarded with the ability to combine skill which is an upgrade of the modify skill. With the qualitative change and the beneficial effects of internal energy, the host potential is unearthed, making it easier to learn martial arts skill of this world.

Combine Skill

Beginner level martial arts need to pay (25) twenty-five points to combine the skill. The higher the mastery of the level of that technique at the time of combining the skill, the lower this price will become

Intermediate level martial arts need to pay (45) forty-five points to combine the skill. The higher the mastery of the level of that technique at the time of combining the skill, the lower this price will become

High level martial arts need to pay (60) sixty points to combine the skill. The higher the mastery of the level of that technique at the time of combining the skill, the lower this price will become

Master level martial arts need to pay (80) eighty points to combine the skill. The higher the mastery of the level of that technique at the time of combining the skill, the lower this price will become

The host has also unlocked the ability to convert skill points of a different category to others. To have more information about this please check the conversion stall in the system market which is automated by the system auto function.

Since the host could now be considered someone that have enough power level to contend with the young heroes of the world, the host has also unlocked the ability to buy items from the system store using skill points. Please uses this feature to increase your progression toward the martial path]

Basically, the ability he got after breaking through to this level is the ability to combine his skill. Then there is the Conversion of Skill points.

This one is his favorite. Because before then, he had to act sparingly with his martial skill points.

Out of the many skill points he could gain, the hardest one to generate is his martial skill points and the easiest is the lightness skill points

So when he got the ability to convert skill points to another type of skill points, he was very overjoyed.

Of course, there is a rate of exchange.

And this rate of exchange is decided by the system.

The more you convert the skill points in a day, the higher the rate of exchange.
