"Now, let's begin, shall we?" Chad mimicked, and his followers bursted into loud laughter that made Jeremy's jaw clench.

He stepped forward again, but Alec, like before, held him back. "Jeremy..."

"I can just fight them" He rasped.

Alec shook his head to show his disagreement. "I'm gonna handle this"

"Alec, I can end this now" Jeremy insisted, but Alec still disagreed, giving him a look that said no.

Chad laughed scornfully "You know Jeremy, I am disappointed in you," He shook his head with feigned pity. "Hanging out with a poor, useless guy like this?" He motioned a hand to Alec in a downgrading manner. "That's just low. You could do so much better than that"

"Shut the fuck up, Chad" Jeremy seethed.

Chad chuckled sickly. "Listen, Jeremy, this poor little shit here..." he gestured to Alec again. "Is gonna taint your image badly, you shouldn't be seen associating with him at all"

Jeremy's hands were itching to punch Chad's face, but Alec wouldn't allow it.

"We can just kill them all" Jeremy suggested in a sharp breath. "We could beat the shit outta them till they stop talking."

"We can't do that here, Jeremy." Alec told him, glancing around the store briefly.

Jeremy wasn't pleased, and Alec could see that clearly.

"I'm gonna handle this, don't worry, and I'm gonna do that in the most perfect way." Alec assured.

He knew beating them up was not the best option at the moment, especially with people around. With the new superpowers he had, he could try to do something, but he wasn't sure how far he could go, and maybe using those powers just wasn't the best thing to do right now.

He looked at the three jerks with a mischievous smirk.

"What are you looking at?" Chad asked, raising his brows "You know you should just leave now...." He glanced Alec's old clothes and shoes "Before I tear up those stupid rags you're wearing, then tear you up next."

Alec wasn't moved with his threat. "I am not leaving"

The three guys looked shocked and offended by what he just said as they had expected him to run out in fear.

"In fact..." Alec turned to the nearest employee who had been watching the whole drama. "Can I speak to the manager?"

"Are you kidding?" Chad laughed. "The manager is my cousin" He said with pride.  "You're gonna report me to my cousin now or what?"

Alec inhaled and said firmly to the woman standing a few meters away. "I need to speak to your manager."

The woman gave a quick nod and walked away.

"You're gonna regret this, Alec." Chad said confidently with an evil smile.

"He's not gonna regret anything, you bastard" Jeremy defended with the same confidence, then he stood close to Alec, pulled him backward, and whispered to him. "You sure you know what you're doing though?"

Alec looked up at his friend. "You don't trust me?"

"It's not like that or anything, but looking at this situation, I recomend being extra careful," Jeremy said in his whisper. "We should be careful"

"I am being careful, Jeremy" Alec said calmly.

"Who called for me?"

That was the voice of the manager, deep, commanding, and filled with what Alec could only describe as excessive arrogance.

Alec and Jeremy walked forward to get a closer look at the manager.

He was a young man who looked older than Alec and Jeremy but still young. He was tall, arrogant, looked like money and even smelled like money.

"Looks like a narcissist to me" Jeremy remarked under his breath. "And he must love money too fucking much"

"Yeah, that shit runs in their blood" Alec mumbled, glancing between Chad and the manager.

"Chad!" The manager grinned. "Oh my dearest cousin, you could've just walked to my office to see me instead of sending Mia to call for me"

Chad smiled, shaking his head. "I didn't call for you, Theo"

"I did" Alec stepped forward.

The manager turned to him and frowned. He took in Alec's poor appearance. "You?" He said with irritation.

"Yes. Me" He said back without flinching.

Theo, the manager, glared angrily at the employer standing with them. "You made me leave my office for this...." He looked at Alec with disgust. "DISGUSTING POOR BRAT?!"

"I'm sorry, sir, but I think he needed to discuss something impor—"

"Shut your filthy mouth, Mia!" Theo thundered. "And you are fired!"

Mia's mouth half opened in fear, her legs quivering, her eyes glossy. "Sir, please, I can't lose this job, I have a daughter and..."

"Well, you should've thought about your daughter before you came to my office, disturbed my peace with your words, and got me here for a filthy school boy"

Alec laughed dryly. "So that's how you just go about firing people, huh?"

Theo opened his mouth to spill degrading words but Alec cut him off.

"How much to buy this place?"

"What?!" Everyone around exclaimed. Chad, his two guys, Theo, and even Mia.

"Yes. You heard me Theo," Alec smirked. "How much..." He scanned the store casually. "To buy the entire store"

"You are acting rich now, huh?" Chad spoke up, sneering. "Guess what, Alec?" He simpered "Pretending to be rich, will never make you rich. Get that into your trashy skull"

"I said I want to buy the entire store" Alec repeated, his confidence not dropping, not even for a second.

"You heard that, motherfuckers? Alec is going to buy the entire store!" Jeremy announced, then he quickly asked in a very quiet voice. "You're really gonna buy it, right?"

The corner of Alec's mouth stretched into a mischievous smile. "I will."

"Look, little boy," Theo started talking, annoyance in his eyes and voice. "I hate it when people act like you're acting right now...like a little shit. And I am going to make sure that you pay for messing with me."

"Oh, you think I was joking about buying the store?" Alec laughed, shaking his head at the pathetic man.

"Yeah, Theo." Jeremy backed him up. "Alec wasn't joking about buying the entire fucking store"

"I need to speak with the owner of this place," Alec said coldly, his green eyes dark and serious.

"What?" Chad and his friends chorused, blinking.

"You all heard me" Alec said.

"Yep. You all heard him" Jeremy added with a smirk, clearly enjoying the show.

"Wait," Theo blinked, his brows knitted together. "You mean you really want to..."

"Yes." Alec cut in sharply, maintaining his serious look. "I want to."

There was something in Alec's eyes that could cause terror, something that wasn't there before, but no one could place what exactly it was.

Chad managed to let out a sick chuckle. "You're kidding" Then to his cousin, he hissed. "The poor brat is messing with us, call the security"

"Ah ah," Alec clicked his tongue "No one's going to call the security." He said coolly with no trace of fear in him.

He pulled out his expensive phone from his pocket and gasps echoed around the store.

"How....how the hell was he able to afford that?" Chad stammered, pointing at the phone.

"Okay!" Alec said loudly, getting attention. "I am going to say this ONE. LAST. TIME..." He stated, then showed up his phone. "I want to speak to the owner of this store..."

There was total silence.

"RIGHT. NOW"

It's been a few hours since Chad and his minions left, and they had not appeared in the restaurant. "Are you sure he's still gonna come back?" Jeremy asked Alec eagerly. Alec raised his head and stared into space, just as he was about to say something, Chad and his guys strolled in haughtily. "Oh, God" Jeremy whispered. "They are back!" Chad marched straight to Alec's table and stood in front of him like a man ready for war, his minions as expected, emulated him. "I am back" He announced arrogantly. "Chad Williams," Alec called out loudly, rising dilatorily from his seat. "What are you doing here?" "What am I doing here?" He pointed to his own chest. "Or I should be asking what you are still doing here?" "I am having lunch." He waved his hands over the table. "You know," Chad took a threatening step forward "You're actually bolder than I thought." "So are you," Alec shot back, his voice deep, his tone menacingly slow. "You really came back" "Yeah, I came back" "Welcome bac

  • 20... Front Row Seat...

Chad stood with arms folded across his chest like he owned the whole space, and his minions were there, standing behind him, idiotically copying his action. "Surprised to see me?" He smiled slyly. "Of course you are." "Yeah, I am" Alec responded casually. "'Cause last I checked you were thrown out a store for acting like an annoying little prick" Jeremy laughed loudly on purpose. "How dare you" Chad growled at Alec, leaning forward, his nose flaring, his hand grabbing the front of Alec's shirt. "You little piece of shit".Alec smiled at his reaction. "I was just talking about what happened, and I had thought you would disappear, but here you are, dragging my shirt like some pained asshole.""Shut up, poor brat. You know I don't stay gone for long." Some people in the restaurant saw what Chad was doing, but they chose to ignore that because it was Chad, the 'rich guy', rough handling Alec, the 'poor guy', and they didn't care about that 'poor guy'. "So, what do you want now?" Al

In the tensed room, Mr Cole was lowkey wishing the drama would not end, but now that it had been paused, he had to hide his disappointment."Mr. Thomas" He called firmly. "Are you sure you want the seller to decide n—""Yes" Sam snapped. He narrowed his eyes at Alec. "He can't afford the mansion. He can't definitely pay a hundred and eighty million dollars, he's just playing a prank" He muttered to himself, and slowly, a smile bent his lips. "Ha. A prank that will get him in trouble.""This is how you wanna play?" Sam asked loudly. "Is this how you wanna play??" Alec asked back coolly. "I play well, and I win, Alec. Have you forgotten that?" Alec sat back in the leather chair. "Then the game is still on." ****A few moments have passed, Mr Cole finally cleared his throat to speak. "Gentlemen..." His voice was loud and solid. "I have spoken to the seller of the mansion..." He paused to give the two guys a long look. "And both offers have been reviewed." Mr Cole's assistant who ha

Alec did not reply. "Listen, Alec, this is a game for the wealthy ones only, but I am allowing you to be a part of it, so you should count yourself lucky" Sam added. Alec's eyes flashed to him. "A game." "Yes. A game," A leer crept up his face. "Or are you scared now? You want the game off?" "No..." Alec's eyes went back to the mansion listing, then back at Sam's over confident face. His jaw tightened. "The game is on, Sam""Good. Good" Sam's evil laughter echoed in Alec's ears. "And you should know that you're lucky I was not in the mood to beat your ass up the other time" "Yeah, tell him" Linda said in her irritating tiny voice. Alec stood straight, his eyes dead serious, "No, Sam," He said, remembering how he should be careful with his new found powers. "You are lucky I don't wanna beat yo

Alec glanced back and saw the object being smashed on the wall. He frowned. It was an egg. Another one came immediately and with his quick reflexes, Alec could see the object coming. For a second, it was in a slow motion. "Damn" He quickly stepped away before it could hit him on the head. He looked at the egg now broken on the floor. "what the fuck?" He cursed in a whisper. "Good morning, trash boy" A voice greeted tauntingly. Alec looked up, and just in front of his house, standing proudly near a Rolls Royce, with eggs in hands, were Sam and his girlfriend.Alec groaned in annoyance when he saw them. "What the hell are they doing here?" He asked no one in particular. "Told you that it's not over, didn't I?" Sam shouted, smirking. "Well, I meant every word." Sam had been furious about what had happened at the restaurant last night and wasn't ready to let it slide. Today, he had a lot prepared, just to get back at the poor boy who humiliated him. Soon, the waiter arrived with the wine, and for a second, Sam's eyes lit up. "Now..." He pointed to Alec's table, his eyes now hardened again. "You're gonna send it to that table""That...table??" The waiter asked carefully. "Yes. Alec's table." Sam confirmed firmly. "Tell him it's from Sam Thomas, and tell the poor little dick over there that 'this is not over'" The waiter blinked, his feet not moving an inch. "Tell him Sam Thomas said 'this is not fucking over'," He said again with a raspier tone. "He'll understand." The waiter hesitated but eventually went to the table to deliver the wine...and the message. "From Mr. Thomas over there" The waiter said sluggishly, feeling awkward. "He said....that..." He swallowed "That this is not over" Alec arched his brows. "I see" He stared at the wine, then clicked his tong
