It's been a few hours since Chad and his minions left, and they had not appeared in the restaurant.

"Are you sure he's still gonna come back?" Jeremy asked Alec eagerly.

Alec raised his head and stared into space, just as he was about to say something, Chad and his guys strolled in haughtily.

"Oh, God" Jeremy whispered. "They are back!"

Chad marched straight to Alec's table and stood in front of him like a man ready for war, his minions as expected, emulated him.

"I am back" He announced arrogantly.

"Chad Williams," Alec called out loudly, rising dilatorily from his seat. "What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here?" He pointed to his own chest. "Or I should be asking what you are still doing here?"

"I am having lunch." He waved his hands over the table.

"You know," Chad took a threatening step forward "You're actually bolder than I thought."

"So are you," Alec shot back, his voice deep, his tone menacingly slow. "You really came back"

"Yeah, I came back"

"Welcome back" Alec greeted mockingly.

"Shut the fuck up, poor boy. I came back to tell you game's over. You can't play billionaire forever, can you?"

Alec stood eye to eye with him, unblinking and unfazed. "So you already told me game's over, what's next?"

"What's next?" Chad smirked, his eyes gleaming with malice. "Security?" He called loudly. "The poor boy I was talking about? This is him" He jabbed his finger rudely at Alec's chest. "This is the guy you're gonna be throwing out"

The restaurant fell silent.

Alec raised his brows.

Chad waited for the security men to get to action.

Six seconds passed, nothing happened.

Ten seconds. Still, nothing happened.

Chad turned his head to the men. "What are you waiting for? Drag him out"

Alec laughed, amused, while the security men stayed frozen in place, unable to move or speak.

"Are you not listening to me?" Chad's loud voice showed that he was starting to get pissed at them. "I said arrest this son of a bitch!"

"Little warning, Chad," Alec's expression darkened. "Do not call me son of a bitch, my mother wasn't a bitch."

"I can call you whatever I want, son of a—"

Alec threw a punch, the sound low in pitch and simultaneously heavy.

Everyone watching gasped.

"That's gonna hurt," Jeremy remarked with a grimace.

"Chad, are you okay?" His guys asked concernedly.

"What do you think? I was just punched in my fucking nose!" Chad snapped, holding his bleeding nose.

His minions marched forward to fight Alec, but Alec grabbed them by their arms and pushed them backward, they stumbled.

There were gasps again.

"Security, throw this guy out!" Chad ordered furiously.

Alec smiled and stepped closer, his posture dauntless and unbending "Chad Williams..." He drawled, amused. "You see, what you don't know is that I now control this place"

Chad's brows squeezed "What?"

"He bought this restaurant" Jeremy informed, enjoying the show.

"No, he didn't" Chad disagreed, then he turned to the security. "Throw this guy out now or he's gonna keep playing his stupid games!"

The men stared at Chad like he hadn't spoken English.

"Hello?" Chad waved his hand at their face. "I said throw this guy out"

Nothing happened.

"Hey!" Chad yelled. "I said—"

"Don't waste your breath now," Alec said, cutting him off. "They are not gonna listen to you anymore because you are not the one in charge"

Chad breathing grew loud and ragged. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Alec lifted his head to stay eye to eye with him, then a smile slowly curved his lips. "Security?" He called unhurriedly. "Throw these guys out."

The security men got to work instantly, and everyone's eyes widened in shock, including Chad and his guys.

"Don't you dare touch me!" Chad shouted at the men, but they did touch him, dragging him out of the place. "I said don't touch me!"

The security men didn't listen, they were merciless, determined to follow orders and follow them well.

"I know you're playing these games because you are jealous of me!" Chad screamed. "You are jealous of me, Alec! You are jealous of the things I have! You are jealous I have nice, sleek cars you will never be able to drive. I have a seven hundred thousand dollar Ferrari, I even have...."

His voice faded as the doors closed.

Alec sighed.

"He got thrown out twice in a week by the same person," Jeremy shook his head. "That's pathetic"

There were whispers around, people quietly talking about what had happened but Alec ignored them all.

He pressed his fingers over his forehead, thinking about what to do next. "We need to leave this place," He sighed "There's something I need to do"

****

Jeremy was driving both him and Alec, like he has been doing for the past forty eight hours. He stole a glance at Alec, who was staring at the front of the car again, his serious eyes fixed on something Jeremy couldn't see; The transparent, glassy screen.

After a minute, Jeremy was stealing another glance and Alec turned his face, catching Jeremy's eyes.

"Jesus," Jeremy whispered under his breath, now staring at the road ahead. "Jesus Christ" He whispered again.

"What is it, Jeremy?" Alec asked.

"You know I was just thinking" Jeremy said, giving Alec a short look. "You paid two hundred and sixty million dollars for that restaurant?"

"Yeah," Alec answered casually.

"So you really did pay two hundred and sixty million?!" Jeremy screeched, his eyes magically growing bigger.

Alec shrugged. "I had to pay something that will beat other interested buyers"

"Oh God" Jeremy muttered, swallowing.

Alec smiled slightly at his dramatic friend, but when he looked at the screen still bright and clear in the car, his smile faded.

[BALANCE FROM TWO BILLION DOLLARS ($2 BILLION)]

$56 100 000.00 [Fifty six million, one hundred thousand dollars. ($56.1 million)]

[MISSION TIMER]

Time left: 03: 42: 16

(Three hours, forty two minutes, and sixteen seconds.)

He had three hours left to spend the whole $56.1 million, or he would face serious consequences.

"Alright!" Jeremy's voice echoed in his ears, taking his eyes away from the screen. "We're here."

Alec looked out the window for a few seconds.

03: 42: 16

Time was running out.

Chad stood with arms folded across his chest like he owned the whole space, and his minions were there, standing behind him, idiotically copying his action. "Surprised to see me?" He smiled slyly. "Of course you are." "Yeah, I am" Alec responded casually. "'Cause last I checked you were thrown out a store for acting like an annoying little prick" Jeremy laughed loudly on purpose. "How dare you" Chad growled at Alec, leaning forward, his nose flaring, his hand grabbing the front of Alec's shirt. "You little piece of shit".Alec smiled at his reaction. "I was just talking about what happened, and I had thought you would disappear, but here you are, dragging my shirt like some pained asshole.""Shut up, poor brat. You know I don't stay gone for long." Some people in the restaurant saw what Chad was doing, but they chose to ignore that because it was Chad, the 'rich guy', rough handling Alec, the 'poor guy', and they didn't care about that 'poor guy'. "So, what do you want now?" Al

In the tensed room, Mr Cole was lowkey wishing the drama would not end, but now that it had been paused, he had to hide his disappointment."Mr. Thomas" He called firmly. "Are you sure you want the seller to decide n—""Yes" Sam snapped. He narrowed his eyes at Alec. "He can't afford the mansion. He can't definitely pay a hundred and eighty million dollars, he's just playing a prank" He muttered to himself, and slowly, a smile bent his lips. "Ha. A prank that will get him in trouble.""This is how you wanna play?" Sam asked loudly. "Is this how you wanna play??" Alec asked back coolly. "I play well, and I win, Alec. Have you forgotten that?" Alec sat back in the leather chair. "Then the game is still on." ****A few moments have passed, Mr Cole finally cleared his throat to speak. "Gentlemen..." His voice was loud and solid. "I have spoken to the seller of the mansion..." He paused to give the two guys a long look. "And both offers have been reviewed." Mr Cole's assistant who ha

Thirty five million. The money rang in Alec's head, his eyes still glued to the phone's screen. "So?" Linda toyed with her hair, an evil grin playing on her lips. "You still wanna play?" Alec did not reply. "Listen, Alec, this is a game for the wealthy ones only, but I am allowing you to be a part of it, so you should count yourself lucky" Sam added. Alec's eyes flashed to him. "A game." "Yes. A game," A leer crept up his face. "Or are you scared now? You want the game off?" "No..." Alec's eyes went back to the mansion listing, then back at Sam's over confident face. His jaw tightened. "The game is on, Sam""Good. Good" Sam's evil laughter echoed in Alec's ears. "And you should know that you're lucky I was not in the mood to beat your ass up the other time" "Yeah, tell him" Linda said in her irritating tiny voice. Alec stood straight, his eyes dead serious, "No, Sam," He said, remembering how he should be careful with his new found powers. "You are lucky I don't wanna beat yo

Alec glanced back and saw the object being smashed on the wall. He frowned. It was an egg. Another one came immediately and with his quick reflexes, Alec could see the object coming. For a second, it was in a slow motion. "Damn" He quickly stepped away before it could hit him on the head. He looked at the egg now broken on the floor. "what the fuck?" He cursed in a whisper. "Good morning, trash boy" A voice greeted tauntingly. Alec looked up, and just in front of his house, standing proudly near a Rolls Royce, with eggs in hands, were Sam and his girlfriend.Alec groaned in annoyance when he saw them. "What the hell are they doing here?" He asked no one in particular. "Told you that it's not over, didn't I?" Sam shouted, smirking. "Well, I meant every word." Sam had been furious about what had happened at the restaurant last night and wasn't ready to let it slide. Today, he had a lot prepared, just to get back at the poor boy who humiliated him. Linda had dropped the eggs

Soon, the waiter arrived with the wine, and for a second, Sam's eyes lit up. "Now..." He pointed to Alec's table, his eyes now hardened again. "You're gonna send it to that table""That...table??" The waiter asked carefully. "Yes. Alec's table." Sam confirmed firmly. "Tell him it's from Sam Thomas, and tell the poor little dick over there that 'this is not over'" The waiter blinked, his feet not moving an inch. "Tell him Sam Thomas said 'this is not fucking over'," He said again with a raspier tone. "He'll understand." The waiter hesitated but eventually went to the table to deliver the wine...and the message. "From Mr. Thomas over there" The waiter said sluggishly, feeling awkward. "He said....that..." He swallowed "That this is not over" Alec arched his brows. "I see" He stared at the wine, then clicked his tong
