Chad stood with arms folded across his chest like he owned the whole space, and his minions were there, standing behind him, idiotically copying his action.
"Surprised to see me?" He smiled slyly. "Of course you are." "Yeah, I am" Alec responded casually. "'Cause last I checked you were thrown out a store for acting like an annoying little prick" Jeremy laughed loudly on purpose. "How dare you" Chad growled at Alec, leaning forward, his nose flaring, his hand grabbing the front of Alec's shirt. "You little piece of shit". Alec smiled at his reaction. "I was just talking about what happened, and I had thought you would disappear, but here you are, dragging my shirt like some pained asshole." "Shut up, poor brat. You know I don't stay gone for long." Some people in the restaurant saw what Chad was doing, but they chose to ignore that because it was Chad, the 'rich guy', rough handling Alec, the 'poor guy', and they didn't care about that 'poor guy'. "So, what do you want now?" Alec asked calmly, but his eyes were sharp and pointy. "A rematch? Or a refund? Or let me guess..." He tapped his chin lightly. "An apology?" Chad dragged his shirt tighter. "I want a front row seat..." He rasped through clenched teeth. "To watch the little fantasy world you're creating crumble. I am going to watch every single part of how you get ruined, Alec" "Oh," Alec's lips tilted in a teasing smirk. "You're really still hung up on the store thing, aren't you?" "The store?" Chad wore a grin that did not reach his eyes, and then his face went completely dark. "Listen, I know you played a trick on us all to get that store, but today, I am going to show you that movies does not play forever, and tricks get old." "Whatever" Alec rolled his eyes. Chad got very pissed at that non chalant response and grabbed Alec's shirt tighter. Alec grabbed his hand and pulled it off his shirt. "Don't touch me, please" "You should be lucky someone like me is touching the rags you're wearing!" "Someone like you?" Alec laughed softly. "And who are you?" "I am Chad Williams" He stood up straight. "Someone like me makes this place work, you know why?" He spread his arms. "I am unstoppable. Unstoppable!" Jeremy rolled his eyes to the skull. "So let me guess now," Alec said, his expression languid. "You're gonna say your uncle is the manager of this restaurant" "Oh, actually, my friend owns this place. Well, he will once the deal gets closed successfully." Jeremy looked from his food, and Alec slightly furrowed his brows. Chad laughed. "Oh yeah, he said it's up for sale quietly, so.... Guess what?" His smile widened. "He is gonna buy this whole damn place" Alec sighed, giving a bored look. "So you're just here to inspect?" "Yeah. Need to inspect and flush out all ghetto creatures" Alec nodded. "I see" He blinked once. "So you're saying you know the current owner of this restaurant?" "George Parker?" He made a cocky exhaling sound. "Of course I know him" "Alright. Good. You're gonna do something now," Alec brought out his phone "You're gonna give me George Parker's contact details" Chad and his friends stared at Alec for seconds before they bursted out laughing hysterically. "What's so funny?" Alec asked, upset. "Alec, everyone knows you are just a pathetic guy pitied and fed by your classmate here..." Chad insulted, referring to Jeremy as the classmate. "And now what, you're asking me for George Parker's contact details like you're some boss here" He scoffed and leaned forward again. "Look, Alec...." He extended his arm, aiming to drag Alec's shirt. "Don't touch me" Alec warned but Chad did not listen. He was just inches close to touching Alec's shirt when Alec caught his hand quickly. "I said... Do. Not. Fucking. Touch me" He released his hand roughly. Chad clenched his fist and attempted to throw a punch, but Alec was swift and was able block the punch with his palm. "Oops," He hung his head "You shouldn't be doing this here, Chad, or the security men are gonna throw you out" "No one will throw me out, Alec," Chad said, certainty in his harsh voice. "I will be the one throwing you out." Alec smiled. "We'll see about that" "Of course we will," He replied confidently. "Enjoy your lunch....for now" He walked away with his minions, all snarling. Jeremy snarled back. "I hate that guy" Jeremy hissed after they left. "He's gonna come back" Alec said casually, but Jeremy's mind was already filled up with other thoughts. "You asked for George Parker's contact details the other time" Jeremy said, tapping the table lightly. "Yeah, I—" "I know him" Jeremy confessed. "You do?" "Yeah, he's kinda like a friend of my mum, so..." He scratched his left brow. "Can I talk to him?" "Yeah, yeah. Of course," Jeremy started to type on his phone, then paused. "Okay, what are you planning now, Alec?" Alec smiled. "You'll see when I speak to him" Jeremy stared for some seconds, then began typing again. Within seconds, he was on the phone with George Parker. "Heyyyy....Mr Parker," Jeremy greeted cheerfully and waited for the man to speak before talking again. "You remember Mrs Peters?" Jeremy listened for a second, then continued. "Alright you do. So this is Jeremy Peters, Mrs Peters' son" Jeremy introduced, and after listening for some seconds, he smiled broadly. "Yeah, yeah. Of course!" He then cleared his throat. "So uh... I have a friend hereee..." He said slowly. "And he kinda wanna speak with you." Jeremy went quiet as he paid attention to the man's words. Soon, he was giving Alec the phone. "Hi, Mr Parker," He greeted, his voice firm. "I am Alexander Todd, Jeremy's friend, and I recently learned you want to sell your restaurant," There was a pause. Alec looked around the area, his face tight and serious, and anyone could tell that same seriousness would harden his voice. "I am interested in buying."

It's been a few hours since Chad and his minions left, and they had not appeared in the restaurant. "Are you sure he's still gonna come back?" Jeremy asked Alec eagerly. Alec raised his head and stared into space, just as he was about to say something, Chad and his guys strolled in haughtily. "Oh, God" Jeremy whispered. "They are back!" Chad marched straight to Alec's table and stood in front of him like a man ready for war, his minions as expected, emulated him. "I am back" He announced arrogantly. "Chad Williams," Alec called out loudly, rising dilatorily from his seat. "What are you doing here?" "What am I doing here?" He pointed to his own chest. "Or I should be asking what you are still doing here?" "I am having lunch." He waved his hands over the table. "You know," Chad took a threatening step forward "You're actually bolder than I thought." "So are you," Alec shot back, his voice deep, his tone menacingly slow. "You really came back" "Yeah, I came back" "Welcome bac

In the tensed room, Mr Cole was lowkey wishing the drama would not end, but now that it had been paused, he had to hide his disappointment."Mr. Thomas" He called firmly. "Are you sure you want the seller to decide n—""Yes" Sam snapped. He narrowed his eyes at Alec. "He can't afford the mansion. He can't definitely pay a hundred and eighty million dollars, he's just playing a prank" He muttered to himself, and slowly, a smile bent his lips. "Ha. A prank that will get him in trouble.""This is how you wanna play?" Sam asked loudly. "Is this how you wanna play??" Alec asked back coolly. "I play well, and I win, Alec. Have you forgotten that?" Alec sat back in the leather chair. "Then the game is still on." ****A few moments have passed, Mr Cole finally cleared his throat to speak. "Gentlemen..." His voice was loud and solid. "I have spoken to the seller of the mansion..." He paused to give the two guys a long look. "And both offers have been reviewed." Mr Cole's assistant who ha

Thirty five million. The money rang in Alec's head, his eyes still glued to the phone's screen. "So?" Linda toyed with her hair, an evil grin playing on her lips. "You still wanna play?" Alec did not reply. "Listen, Alec, this is a game for the wealthy ones only, but I am allowing you to be a part of it, so you should count yourself lucky" Sam added. Alec's eyes flashed to him. "A game." "Yes. A game," A leer crept up his face. "Or are you scared now? You want the game off?" "No..." Alec's eyes went back to the mansion listing, then back at Sam's over confident face. His jaw tightened. "The game is on, Sam""Good. Good" Sam's evil laughter echoed in Alec's ears. "And you should know that you're lucky I was not in the mood to beat your ass up the other time" "Yeah, tell him" Linda said in her irritating tiny voice. Alec stood straight, his eyes dead serious, "No, Sam," He said, remembering how he should be careful with his new found powers. "You are lucky I don't wanna beat yo

Alec glanced back and saw the object being smashed on the wall. He frowned. It was an egg. Another one came immediately and with his quick reflexes, Alec could see the object coming. For a second, it was in a slow motion. "Damn" He quickly stepped away before it could hit him on the head. He looked at the egg now broken on the floor. "what the fuck?" He cursed in a whisper. "Good morning, trash boy" A voice greeted tauntingly. Alec looked up, and just in front of his house, standing proudly near a Rolls Royce, with eggs in hands, were Sam and his girlfriend.Alec groaned in annoyance when he saw them. "What the hell are they doing here?" He asked no one in particular. "Told you that it's not over, didn't I?" Sam shouted, smirking. "Well, I meant every word." Sam had been furious about what had happened at the restaurant last night and wasn't ready to let it slide. Today, he had a lot prepared, just to get back at the poor boy who humiliated him. Linda had dropped the eggs

Linda narrowed her eyes at her boyfriend but didn't say a word. She didn't even know what to say, all she could think about was what Sam would need a cheap wine for. Soon, the waiter arrived with the wine, and for a second, Sam's eyes lit up. "Now..." He pointed to Alec's table, his eyes now hardened again. "You're gonna send it to that table""That...table??" The waiter asked carefully. "Yes. Alec's table." Sam confirmed firmly. "Tell him it's from Sam Thomas, and tell the poor little dick over there that 'this is not over'" The waiter blinked, his feet not moving an inch. "Tell him Sam Thomas said 'this is not fucking over'," He said again with a raspier tone. "He'll understand." The waiter hesitated but eventually went to the table to deliver the wine...and the message. "From Mr. Thomas over there" The waiter said sluggishly, feeling awkward. "He said....that..." He swallowed "That this is not over" Alec arched his brows. "I see" He stared at the wine, then clicked his tong
