The Interrogation.

Inside a VIP ward, the Biller family sat, surrounding the bed where the head of the family laid unconscious with bandages around his head and a drip connected to his wrist.

The three individuals held different expressions that was far from pleasant as they prayed and hoped for Mr Charles Biller's fast recovery.

"Damn that fool!" Preston cursed with a sharp intake of breath, inhaling the air that reeked of medicine. His curse words overshadowing the beeping sound coming from where Mr Charles laid for a moment. "You should have just let me deal with him personally." He pressed on as he stomped his feet on the floor, now directing his glares at his mother.

"You need to calm down son, there are better ways to deal with him and I would make sure of it. Right now, we have to pray for your father's quick recovery." Mrs Edner Biller explained to her angry son because that was what seemed important at the moment.

The fool will be taken care of, but only after her husband's health has been stabled.

"This is the exact same reason I suggested Dad should give me the position of the CEO already, but he doesn't listen." Preston pulled on his hair frustratedly. But a scoff coming from the person seated beside his mother followed his statement, prompting him to pause as he glared at his younger sister.

Feeling the stares coming from both her brother and mother, Blair looked at them and asked, "What?" Feigning oblivion while she rolled her eyes and looked away.

"Look Preston, I understand how you feel but that shouldn't be your priorities right now, your father's health is not in a good state. But I'm sure he would realize how important it is to quickly make you the CEO of Westlake Industries, just summon a little more patient." Edner reassured.

She too was equally angry at her husband, his delay on making Preston the new CEO was affecting her reputation. Her friends had been pestering her about it and she felt great amount of embarrassment whenever the topic arises.

Blair who listened to the conversation between her older brother and mother was already pissed, she said, "I can't believe the both of you, mom! This is what you both are worrying about when Dad is lying here in a bad condition? Why wouldn't you just..."

"I don't want to hear it, enough." Edner interrupted her daughter, "What do you know? You know absolutely nothing." She hissed and looked away, facing her husband, she sighed and picked up his hands that laid on his side.

Edner caressed her husband's weak hands while a million thought ran in her head.

"Mom, I understand that..." Blair spoke up, ready to speak senses into the head of her mother who only cared about reputation but was cut short by Preston.

"I swear, if you don't seal your mouth, I'll throw you out of here." Preston swore, he was already on the edge with his little sister's persistent attitude.

Seeing that they weren't going to listen to her, Blair matched out of the room angrily with the heels of her shoes making harsh sounds on the floor.

Blair Biller was only twenty-two years old, she was the only daughter of Charles Biller and was nothing but the spoilt princess of the Biller family.

She was used to getting whatever she asked for. With her waist length brown hair swinging side to side, she left the hospital's building to heaven knows where.

Meanwhile, in a cold room with dim light, a figure sat on a chair and was tied to the chair with a black cloth covering his face and opposite him were two men who looked like police officers, one was seated and the other stood by the side.

"Now," The man seated began, "I'd like you to be sincere with me and you will be free, do you understand?" He asked but no words came from the figure whose head was covered.

The man looked at his colleague who nodded in response. He went on, "Why did you hit Mr Charles' car? You need to answer..."

However, Xavier remained quiet, with his sight limited, he couldn't tell where he was but he was sure he wasn't in a safe place. He could perceive the pungent smell in the air but couldn't explain what it was. Who were these people by the way?

That was too much accusation, he didn't hit anyone's car, he caused no one's accident. Instead, he helped but look what he's gotten himself into.

"Won't you speak?" The man ask again, exercise as much patience as he could. "Tell me, were you sent by someone? How much did they pay you? You will be paid twice the amount if you revealed who sent you."

But no words came from Xavier. How could people be this way? He only helped a dying person but they thought he tried to harm the person instead.

No word could come out of his mouth because what he had to say was not what they would want to hear.

They wanted to hear him say he did it, that he caused the accident of that man. They wanted to hear him say he was guilty, and then what? Punish him? Or kill him?

He never tried to hurt anyone, what he did was to help. But saying that to them would result to something severe.

Though he was scared for his life, Xavier showed no signs of fear. With his head bowed, he remained silent. Feeling the environment and his surrounding with his other senses while he couldn't see.

It was useless to say anything, even if he claimed innocent or claimed guilty, he would still be punished.

The man who sat opposite Xavier drummed his fingers impatiently on the metal table that separated him from Xavier.

"This is the last time I will ask, you better cooperate. Who ordered you to kill Mr Charles Biller?" The man asked again. And Xavier took note of how he now rephrased his question.

Seeing that Xavier would not speak, the man lost his patience. He picked up the whip beside his chair and looked at his colleague standing beside him, his colleague understood and walked towards Xavier.

Hearing the sound of approaching footstep that stopped behind him, Xavier began to breathe heavily but still refused to show his fear.

The man seated opposite Xavier was known as Bob, he worked directly for Edner and was ordered by her to deal with Xavier.

Bob watched as his colleague removed the black cloth from Xavier's head. Before Xavier was given enough time to assess his surrounding, Bob lifted the whip and with so much strength, it landed harshly on Xavier.
