It was simple really. The 'Frozen Claw' had a 30% chance of freezing the enemy or giving it critical damage.Freezing the enemy was quite helpful in battle, even if it would be only for 3 seconds. When they both began their battle, Hugo used the frozen claw to attack the boos rabbit and when the rabbit froze for a few seconds, Hugo would attack quickly. But the rabbit was also quite smart, it figured out what Hugo was trying to do and changed its strategy.When the next frozen claw made contact with the rabbit's skin, the boss pretended to freeze. Because there was already a lot of ice on the rabbit's fur, Hugo didn't notice the trap. Just as Hugo ran toward the rabbit, the boss rabbit suddenly slashed its claws toward Hugo's back, digging it inside his skin.Hugo was quick enough to react and jumped back. Even if he had jumped back, his HP started lowering.[Hp: 260/500]Just that single slash from the boss was enough to cause so much damage. But Hugo's HP was only 500, to begin with, so, it wasn't a big surprise that the boss rabbit was able to do so much damage. But now, Hugo became extra careful.His sharp eyes looked at the fur full of ice and then noticed a place where he could attack quite well.[HP: 5050]There was still more than half of the boss's health left. Hugo ran towards the boss rabbit, and they both clashed.*Bang!*Hugo then jumped back, like every time he would normally attack. The boss rabbit was already used to it. The rabbit thought it was like before, where they both would stop for a second or two and let down their guard. But that was what Hugo wanted the rabbit to think.Just as the rabbit let down its guard, Hugo attacked. The rabbit didn't expect the sudden attack and out of instinct, just slashed the claws randomly toward Hugo. The attack was too sloppy, so Hugo evaded it with ease and jumped to the rabbit's back.The rabbit fell from the weight and pressure Hugo was putting and landed on both its legs and hands.The rabbit was more than twice the size of Hugo and this was one of the downfalls of the rabbit right now. The rabbit was too huge, but its claws weren't large enough to reach the place where Hugo was standing behind its back.*slash* *slash* *slash*[HP: 3000]The rabbit screamed at the sudden pain of Hugo's claw and tried using all its strength to get up, and suddenly jumped towards a tree.Hugo was smart enough to understand what the rabbit was trying to do, and before the rabbit could completely crash into the tree, he jumped back. He was a little late and as the large body of the rabbit crashed into the tree, the whole tree broke and some small branches scratched against Hugo's skin and drew some blood.[HP: 250/500]The cost of crashing into the tree was a lot. The large tree branches fell on the top of the rabbit and the blood was continuously coming out of the rabbit's back.This caused the ice that had previously covered its skin to become red.[HP: 2200]Losing 800 HP was a great blow, especially because the rabbit was in too much pain already.The rabbit looked at Hugo with enraged eyes. Hugo had returned the favor when the rabbit had previously attacked his back.The rabbit, out of anger, charged toward Hugo. Another round of clashes continued on. The rabbit was tired from the loss of blood but Hugo didn't let him rest and continued to attack.*BOOM!*A large black beam collided with the boss rabbit. The rabbit's reaction was slow, and he wasn't able to dodge the sudden attack.[HP: 1500][-25 MP]Jordan readied another Hyper beam in his hand, ready to attack the boss rabbit again.The boss rabbit was tired from the fight with Hugo. And now, Jordan had joined as well.[!The boss has used the skill: Rage Mode (a weaker form of berserk mode)!]The rabbit's eyes turned bright red and its status changed.[Strength: 25! {Rage mode activated}][HP: 1000/10000]"The rabbit's strength increased... But its HP decreased to only 1000." Jordan looked at the Boss rabbit's stats and noticed the change almost immediately.'Rage mode? It says it's a weaker form of berserk mode.'The rabbit pounced towards Jordan, ready to attack Jordan with its claws. Unfortunately for the rabbit, Jordan had the Hyper Beam ready in his hands already.The black beam shot out, hitting the rabbit straight in the stomach and sending it crashing toward the other trees. Maybe if Jordan didn't have the skill Hyper Beam he would've been in trouble, but he did have the skill.The skill could be considered long-ranged but it could still be used in close combat.[24/10000][-25 MP]'Isn't the skill meant to do only 700 damage?' That's when Jordan noticed the defense attribute.[Defence: 8 (Very weak!)]'The defense attribute is only 8 points! The rabbit crashed into many trees as well. It should be quite injured.'Jordan was surprised by the weak defense the rabbit had after activating the 'Rage mode'.'So, this is why the boss didn't activate its skill from the start. The attack increases, but the defense decreased to a very low amount.'The moon sword appeared in Jordan's hand and he ran over to where the boss rabbit had crashed. The boss rabbit was leading heavily and wasn't moving. Jordan had already met lots of Zombies on the way, so it wasn't a big surprise when he was the number of Zombies trying to get inside the Humungous Mansion gates. *Slash* *Slash* With a is Simple slash, the hoard was already destroyed. Jordan and Hugo were behind a tree while watching how the rabbits were making strange noises. He guessed they were having a conversation about him and Hugo. Jordan could see the pathway after the dungeon door swung open. The door looked normal aside from the fact that it was at least ten times bigger than normal but the inside was completely different.The inside looked like a forest with huge trees. The whole forest looked deadly and dangerous because no matter where one would look, one would only see trees.Jordan, along with Hugo, stepped inside the forest.
