(TWO YEARS LATER IN A NEIGHBORING COUNTRY).

"Where is he?"

"He's inside, lying on the bed."

They hurriedly walked in to the old shabby room.

"Grandpa Fu..." He knelt down at the bedside.

"Lee my grandchild." Touching his face with his old wrinkle and shaky hand.

"How is he doctor?" Lee asked the doctor who was standing behind him, not tearing his gaze from his grandpa.

"His body has become really weak now. All the medicines we've been giving him, none seem to be working anymore. His immune system has gone really weak and his body is deteriorating fast."

He turned to the doctor. "Please do all you can to save him. He's the only family I have left." He pleaded in a teary voice.

"Mr Lee, we're doing everything possible we can, but his body keeps rejecting all the treatments we've been giving him."

Turning back to his grandpa. "Grandpa..." kissing both his hands. "Please fight. You know I only have you as a family left. Please fight grandpa." He pleaded with tears in his voice.

"Lee...." He called in his old shaky voice.

"Please stay quiet grandpa. Don't say a word. Just save your strength."

"Lee... my....son...."

"Yes grandpa...."

"There's.... something... I... want... to tell... you...."

"Grandpa....."

"I...want...to speak...with you..."

Lee sighed and faced the doctor. "Doctor, please excuse us."

The doctor bowed and left.

"Yes grandpa, what is it?"

"Come... closer...."

He drew his face closer. Grandpa Fu's voice have now turned to a whisper shaky voice.

"The gold....."

Lee glanced at him as confusion was plastered on his face. "Grandpa, I told you so many times. I'll get lots of golds for you. I'm out of cash. I've been using all the money for your treatment. Just get better so we can go back to the life we once used to live."

Before the zombies apocalypse, grandpa Fu was a very wealthy man. He stayed with his only grandchild in a mansion in the capital of the country now known as Zombies Territory. Because Lee had lost his both parents when he was still young in a sinking ship, he had to live with his only family, Mr Fu. But ever since the attack of the zombies, he had lost everything. His wealth, his house and other important things were still stuck in that mansion. Ever since the zombies apocalypse, a lot of wealthy people have currently become a common class citizen in the countries they now settled in.

"No... Lee..." His breathing was becoming hard and rough. "My golds.... are....." He coughed.

"Grandpa, please just rest."

Mr Fu held his hands tight. "Go.. get.. back... my golds...." He coughed again.

"Grand...."

"Child...do... me... this favour before....I die."

He sighed looking really frustrated and worried. He just want his grandfather to stop talking and just rest. "What is that grandpa?"

"The house....back there... Golds." He coughed and sucked in hard breath. "I buried golds in the kitchen.. back at the... mansion. It's inside a casket."

Lee's eyes flew open in shock. "Golds....?"

"Yes Lee. Go get it... and you'll be rich forever..." He gave a whooping cough. "Promise me Lee. Promise me you'll go get back those golds."

Lee threw his face to a side still trying to digest everything had just heard. So many thoughts were swirling in his mind.

"Grandpa but....." He threw his head to look at him and fear instantly cladded his body seeing that his grandfather wasn't breathing. "Grandpa.... Grandpa Fu..." Shaking him slightly. "Grandpa....." He screamed scooping his lifeless body in his hand. "Grandpa...." He screamed in pain as tears began rushing down his cheeks.

The doctor and Lee's men came rushing in the moment they heard the loud wailing voice. They bowed their heads as a sign of a respect. 'May your soul rest in peace Mr Fu.' They spoke in their hearts.

FUNERAL....

"My condolences Lee." A man said patting his shoulder.

With a sad face, his response was a "thank you."

His grandfather's body was getting rolled down six feet below the earth surface. Memories of how his grandfather played with him when he was still a kid, started playing in his head. He never made him feel the absence of his both parents. And now, his only family... gone for good.

While all the memories kept playing in his head, he suddenly recalled his grandfather's last words. 'Go get back those golds.' Those words echoed in his ears severally. He caught sight of the casket that was now placed six feet below. Those eyes of his held both pain, and seriousness, but were blank. 'I promise you grandpa, I'll get back those golds no matter what.' With that vow he made in his heart, he turned away to the car and his men hurriedly follow behind because he was walking in such a haste. The three black cars sped off with high speed.

"What uh? Does it hurt to know the truth about being blind. I'm mad, but I can see clearer than you do.""Shut the fuck up, you asshole." She spat and cocked her gun.Their eyes flew wide open as soon as they realized what she had just done. They froze for a second, their hearts thumping wildly in their chests. They threw a glance at each other, knowing it was the end for them. No. Not for Binna. The two of them started running up the stairs. They could hear them coming in their direction. This time, for sure, they'll be crucified. They halted their steps at the sound of fireworks exploding from outside. Their brows crunched, and they could hear the zombies averting their attention and running speedily to the place where the sound was made.Another set of fireworks played again, and shortly after, the building became quiet. But they first stood there for a minute to make sure everything was clear. When it was, they tiptoed to peek to see if it was indeed clear. It was, and they separa

When she noticed that the zombies were now on the move, she quickly threw the matchet to her targeted place, where it hit the metal, and hid herself back. As the metal and the matchet collided to create the sound she was looking for, the zombies immediately diverted their attention from Kenji to where the sudden, sharp sound was created. Kenji, on the other hand, did not bother wasting a single second in forcefully pushing the door as soon as she threw away the matchet.Binna quickly crawled and went to where Kenji was. "You alright?" Kenji asked as he successfully shut the door. She leaned her back against the wall, trying to get a breather. That was one hell of a move, but she couldn't say it. She just gave him a thumbs up, indicating that she's alright."What next? Those zombies are probably hovering around the exit of the building. So what now? You got any plans?"She straightened up and glared at him. "We'll still push through with this. We have nothing to lose, especially now t

"Be careful out there, you both." "You too." Binna spoke and nodded her head. The two of them turned their backs on him, ready to leave the room.Kenji used the matchet while Binna took the gun she had loaded with bullets earlier. This is one hell of a sacrifice.Slowly, they opened the door slightly and peered right outside. Seeing that the entrance was clear, she slowly and carefully opened the door more to create more space for them to step out. Kenji peeped again, both left and right, and signaled to her that the road was clear. While prayers were chanting in their hearts, they took a step out of the door and shut it. Binna and Kenji removed their shoes to avoid creating clicking sounds with them on the tile. Their hands tightened on the tools they were both carrying. The building, at the moment, is extremely quiet. Eery quiet. The zombies who were creating lots of chaos earlier by running helter-skelter in the mall looking for their prey were now quiet. But Binna and Kenji kept

Justin, Binna, and Kenji hid in one room. Everyone's heart increased in beat. Sweat was dripping non-stop from their bodies, and prayers were chanting continuously in their hearts not to get caught by the zombies. They could hear the zombies' snarling, and it was getting louder, which means they were getting closer to where they hid. Their breathing ceased as they heard one of them passing by their door. Their throats worked up and down, and their sweat flooded their entire bodies. Their bodies jerked up in fear, and their heartbeat fastened more as one of them hit their door while they were still running. Their hearts finally relaxed a little afterwards."Where is Jennine?" Justin asked Binna in a whisper."She's with Kate and Eli." I'm pretty sure she's fine. She also whispered. He just nodded his head and slid to the ground carefully because of his injured leg. Smith just sat on the ground, leaning his back on the wall. Justin's eyes went furious the moment he saw Smith. Everything he did earlier came flooding back to his mind. He walked angrily to him and caught Smith up by the collar, grasping his collar tight with one hand. He shook him violently, and a punch landed on his face. Argh! He had been wanting to do that for ages now."What did you think you did out there, you asshole?" He barked at him angrily and landed another punch on him. "Because of you.... Just because of your fucked up brain, Nathaniel got bitten and is no longer with us." He landed another blow on his face, and Smith fell to the ground."Take me back to Lee. I don't want to turn into a zombie. Take me back." He cried out. Before Justin could do any further damage, Alain grabbed Smith's collar and punched him twice in the face. "We're right outside." Kate spoke over the walkie-talkie."Roger that," Justin replied.Justin and Kim walked out of the building. Since their road was clear after they had peeked, they walked out of the building. Kate used the car's flashlight to signal to them that she was in the car."Where're the rest?" Kate spoke as they shut the door."I think we have to wait a bit for them. We got separated." Justin spoke. She nodded and started making light noises with her finger on the steering wheel as they continued waiting patiently for them."Binna...? Where is she?" Kim asked after the long silence that reigned in the car."Binna and Kenji are in the ice-cream truck. But don't worry, they'll be fine.
