On his twenty fifth birthday Theodore was publicly embarrassed. He thought his father was going to give him the company since he promised to, and he had been working hard for so many years but he was wrong. His father gave the company to his half brother instead. Surprising him and the press. And only after confronting his father did he find out he was an illegitimate child. His mother's mistake. Surprised his girlfriend who was so kind and loving had been cheating on him for nearly three years with his half brother Theodore was heartbroken. His half brother Albert kept looking for ways to make him suffer. They even sent Theodore out of the house. His stepmother Dalia who was happy Theodore was out of the game felt threatened by Theodore's half sister who wanted to make a claim to the company. She knew how strong willed Karina was, she was smart and very diligent and somehow she knew deep down that Karina might win the fight so she decided to end her. If she was dead she wouldn't be able to fight now would she? Theodore found out his birth father was the richest man in San Diego after his reputation as well as his mother's was ruined Theodore felt nothing else but rage and he wanted revenge. Especially after finding out his sister was poisoned. Accepting his father's terms he decided to get his revenge. Would Theodore be able to get his revenge or would his enemies get the upper hand?

Loss of lives and properties were involved because it was believed aliens invaded earth, although the government strongly rebuked this. However, Fifty percent of kids around the age of sixteen gained infection-induced powers through the freak ambush. Parts of the government outside the law, known as the 'Shadow Government, did their best to confiscate and put most of these teens under control. Some were ambushed by politicians and crazed scientists, as they were contained and imprisoned. Experiments were carried out to figure out what ticks them  to be used for selfish purposes. November Calhoun finds himself in the categorized teens with infection-induced powers. While these teens have one quirk to themselves, he has numerous of them which he seems to be discovering when challenges are set up for him. He does his best to not fall into the traps set by these scientists after discovering he can use his quirks to help people and fight crime. And his friends customize him a super-suit with the nametag 'N' to hide his identity. However, the flip-side gets shoved in his face when trained supervillains start attacking him.

In this time people awakened with superhuman abilities ruled the world and those who were awakened were divided into three fractions; Dauntless, Psychics and Dynamics. Being fraction less was as good as being average because only those who have been awakened had what it takes to attain great heights. Only the fractioned can occupy significant positions and those that are not awakened will live as their subjects. Benjamin Carson lost his father in a plane crash leaving only his mother Lisa Carson to fend for the family and school needs alone and because of her low financial status he was being bullied and humiliated in school. On one of his assaults he gained a powerful system which gave him multiple powers and upgraded his abilities as long as he passed every mission.
