The Prodigy... Eunice Valerian

Trapp had two mothers. Apart from his real mother, his other mother was the one who the public recognized as his mother. She was the nanny of Eunice valerian who had raised her from birth until she finally came of age. Now, Eunice valerian's nanny had become her right-hand woman and the person she trusted the most who took care of all her affairs.

In the Silent Echoes castle, Eunice valerian's nanny... Eudora... apart from Eunice herself was the most powerful person in the castle. Now, after taking care of Eunice since she was a little kid, it was finally time for Eudora to take care of Eunice's child, Trapp.

From a young age, even though Trapp knew who his real mother was, he had grown up calling Eudora's mother, and apart from the public, Trapp himself had already acknowledged Eudora to be his second mother. After all, apart from supervising his training and occasionally checking up on him once in a while as he grew up, his real mother Eunice had not bothered to spend any more time with her son.

It was Eudora who had raised Trapp up to become the man he was now. Of course, it was not Eudora's fault that Trapp had grown up to be known as the most infamous scoundrel in all of Silent Echoes city. That was entirely Trapp's fault, and it was a result of his teenage rebellion when he had felt the need to go against his real mother in order to gain her attention. Sadly, this had been a fruitless task, as she did not seem to care for his behavior at all.

Just like that, Trapp had ended up sticking to the roguish and scandalous behavior that had earned him an infamous behavior. So when Trapp was asking which of his mother had called for him, he was actually asking Della who, between his real mother Eunice and his adoptive mother Eudora, was calling for him.

In response to this, Della answered, "Young Master, it is your mother, Lady Eunice, who had called for you."

Nodding his head, Trapp turned to look through the single window at the top of the basement room as he looked into the distance.

thinking out loud, Trapp said, "So it's her, eh..."

"After all this time, she's finally taking the initiative to look for me. How long has it been, five years... seven? After all these years, she still remembers that she has a son down here in the basement. I wonder what she wants?"

As trapped spoke, one could hear a hidden bitterness in his voice, although his face was very clear and devoid of any emotion.

For a short while, Trapp remained like this as he thought about the past. It was only when his stomach uttered a grumbling protest that Trapp finally snapped out of his thoughts and came to his senses.

Looking down at his stomach that was very flat and filled with hard muscular abs, Trapp finally realized that he had not had anything to eat since the night before except wine and booze and he was very hungry.

Feeling very peckish, Trapp hurriedly put on the same set of clothing from last night that still reeked with the smell of wine and women. Rushing past Della who had stationed herself by the door, Trapp called out as he walked into the hallway.

"Well, don't just stand there. Come on. Let's hurry on and head to the kitchen to see what we can scrounge up. I'm starving!"

Della was surprised at the speed at which Trapp was moving that she was a bit stunned. Standing there in a daze for a moment, she hurriedly came to her senses before immediately rushing to follow behind Trapp. At the same time, Della called out to him.

"Young master Trapp, aren't you going to dress up in a more presentable manner? You don't want to anger Lady Eunice. You should first clean yourself up to get rid of the evidence of last night's activities. In the meantime, I will get you your breakfast."

Della hurried to get in front of Trapp so that she could stop him from leaving as he was. She wanted him to clean himself up before meeting his mother. She knew that if Trapp were to go and meet the lady of the house as he was, he would likely be scolded for it and punished and as his butler, Della was also going to be punished too. After all, it was her duty to take care of his needs and to let Trapp arrive in front of the lady of the house in such a disheveled manner was a clear dereliction of her duties.

To be honest, sometimes, Della wondered what she had done in her previous life to be stuck with such a troublesome young master as Trapp. Forget that Trapp always harassed her sexually whenever she was alone with him, but he also never listened to anything she said.

To Della, it felt like a lost cause to try to take care of his needs and advise him on matters relating to his life, since he always did whatever he wanted without a care for anybody at all. Still, there was nothing Della could do since she had been trained from a young age to serve him.

As Trapp was making his way towards the kitchen, he heard what Della said to him about cleaning up, then eating before going to meet his mother. As expected, Trapp completely ignored Della's words as he even increased his pace instead.

At the same time, Trapp said to Della, who was doing her best to catch up.

"Nonsense! there is no time for all that right now. I am very much starved at this point and I fell as I could drop at any moment. Those girls from the secret pavilion really know how their stuff. They completely wrung me dry last night and even now I can feel all the energy in my body has been drained. Those girls from the secret pavilion are like a bunch of fox daemons sucking me of my male essence, so I need to replenish my energy before I drop."

"Besides, there is no need to hide what happened from my good mother, since I'm sure she's already aware of it by now. There is nothing that goes on in this castle... nay, in this entire city that my mother is not aware of. You'd think that she would care what her son has been doing now when she has ignored it for the past years."

"Humph, please..."

"I wouldn't put it past her to completely ignore me if I walked around the entire city buck naked. Believe me, she won't. I know because I've tried that already. You should know about this matter yourself since it was you who fished me out of the gutters before bringing me home."

When Trapp said this, he shot a look at Della from over his shoulders and gave her a dazzling smile before turning back around.

Della blushed as she was reminded of that day.

It was really as Trapp had said. There was nothing that goes on in this castle and even the entire city that Lady Eunice, as the lord of the entire Silent Echoes city, was not aware of. Nobody knew how she did it, but everybody that resided in this city under her protection knew that she was always privy to the dealings that went on within its walls.

Fortunately, Lady Eunice did not interfere with what happened within the city so far, as it did not harm her interest. It was why this city could be as prosperous as it was and still remain safe. It was because anybody who wanted to cause trouble in the city knew that there was a powerful lord who kept watch over everything. With such a powerful lord overlooking the city, nobody dared to cause trouble at all.

That was, except for one person.

In the entire city, Trapp was the only person that dared to behave as he want and cause as much trouble as he pleased. It was because Trapp was the son of the city's lord that he dared to do so, but the only reason he even tried to cause trouble in the first place was that he wanted to get the attention of his mother who he felt was neglecting him.

It was quite ironic if you thought about it.

Everybody in the city knew that the lady of the city doted on the son of her nanny and would seek redress for any wrong done to him. But Trapp himself felt that his own mother did not care about him at all. Because of this, he started acting in a rebellious manner to gain her attention. But no matter what he did, Trapp never seemed to get what he wanted.

Regarding the time when Trapp went around the entire city naked and caused trouble everywhere he went. On that very day, it just so happened that Trapp had offended a very powerful underworld boss in the city.

Although this was the case, knowing that Trapp was doted on by Eunice, that underworld boss had not harmed him at all but in order to defend his dignity in front of his underlings, the underworld boss had beat Trapp up a little before throwing him into the gutters of the city. In consideration of how much Trapp had offended that boss, this punishment was light compared to the boss could have done to another person that dared to offend him.

Still, the very next day, after Della had fished Trapp out of the gutters, that underground boss and his organization had disappeared from the city. They had been completely eradicated.

But Trapp, who had caused the issue so that he could gain his mother's attention, had not even been scolded by her and she completely ignored him, leaving him to Eudora to handle.
