Rumble … Rumble

On a rainy day ,the sky filled with dark clouds, lightning and thunder between the clouds as it looked like the Greek gods were on a war.

A man in his late twenties with a pale face and a skinny body that looked like he starved for weeks. With thick black hair covering his eyes, his face covered with an overgrown beard that had not been cut in a decade. Blood dripping from his eyebrows which had a deep cut,the bloods flowing through his face mixed with rain covering his white shirt with blood stains.

Wahhh..waahhhh

He glared with his diamond blue eyes through the broken glass he wore.

"There There my child… we will get home soon" a Women said caring a baby with a loving smile on her face while her husband holding an Umbrella over her.

'MOM … DAD' Alex thought while he looked towards the sky with a teary eye. He felt a sting in his heart as he remembered the only people that cared about him.

People just walked past him there was no one to ease his pain, no one to say 'everything will be fine'. The rain washed away his tears though anyone would care to notice.

Splash

The car bathed Alex with the dirty rain water. Alex didn't care about anything as he was in the rock bottom of his life.

Alex looked across the road only to find an old lady sitting on the side of the road with her legs bleeding. Her dress wore torn in multiple places. She didn't have anything to cover her body or protect her from the heavy rain. She looked like Alex's mom….

Splash

The lady was soaked in water as the car that passed splashed the water on her.

Alex without thinking rushed to her aid, He picked her up like a princess which surprised the lady.

He took her to a store nearby that had a short-extended roof. He carefully put her down and looked at her bleeding legs which needed immediate first aid.

"Are you hungry?" Alex asked a lady with a warming smile on his face. The lady nodded, 'oh! I guess she can't speak'.

Alex went into the store and bought a blanket, warm clothes, food and a first aid kit.

As he came back and gave her the dress, the lady struggled to take off her clothes.

"…may I help you," Alex asked with the same loving smile to which the lady nodded. Alex helped her remove the torn clothes and put on the new clothes, he then covered her with a blanket and gave her the food to eat.

"This may hurt a little, hold my hand if you feel any pain" Alex then cleaned her wounds and stuck a band-aid on her wounds. Alex looked at her after dressing her wounds only to notice her teary eyes.

Alex felt pain in his heart, he didn't know why maybe because she looked like his mother.

"Sorry… I should have been more careful" Alex said with a sad face while tears started flowing from his eyes. He felt as if he hurt his own mother. The lady wiped his tears from his eyes and shook her head.

She was not in pain but the opposite, she had no one to take care of her not even her children who cared about her but a stranger who had the same age as her son did so much for her that she felt overwhelmed. She couldn't help but cry as she couldn't even thank him with her mute mouth. She doesn't have anything to repay for his kindness.

Alex sat next to her on the ground with a sad face "My mother was a beautiful and kind woman u know .. you look a lot like her. Hmm.. my dad was a caring man too but he never smiled at me.

I thought he was a bad parent as he never showed his love for me as my mother. But he proves his love with his actions." 

"Typical father's you know," Alex said while he chuckled

Mothers show their love and care for their sons while Fathers show their love for their daughters. This is just how society works I guess. But whatever both parents love their children, they just show it differently. 

Alex face changed pale again "But I lost them both in a car accident while we were on a trip"

Alex lost his parents when he was Fifteen (15)" I was sad and thought I had no one, I only had the business I inherited after my parents left me but my relatives came to my aid. They showered me with love"

Alex's face became red" I trusted them but in the end, they betrayed me, they were only with me for my money. They asked me to sign some documents and I signed them as they said it was to improve the business only to know that they sold my Father's company"

"They thew me out of my own house, the house that my parents lived in"

"Then I worked very hard and joined a small company. I had knowledge of how to run a business since my father taught me. I helped the company grow." Alex clenched his fist "and another Betrayal, the manager scammed lots of customers, robbed lots of money and blamed it on me. No one believed me since I have no support."

Alex started crying heavily "I wanted to stay with my parents, live a normal happy life but all I am left now is 'only my life and a huge debt which I cannot pay even if I sold my organs'"

"Was it wrong for wanting a normal life… was it wrong to trust people… was it wrong for trying to climb the ladder again after being thrown down"

All Alex was paid for showing kindness was ... BETRAYL

The old lady held Alex's hand then took his head and kissed him on his forehead.

She placed his head on her shoulder slowly stroking his hair. Alex stopped crying, he felt at ease, he felt a warmth that his heart was longing for.  'He felt safe'

Alex slowly lifted his head and looked at the lady with a loving smile" sorry for pestering you with my sad story, you must have a hard time too"

Alex took the lady's hand and held it tight as if he found something precious and never wanted to let it go" ..ah.. why don't you stay with me. I know I am asking for too much. But…. I promise I will take good care of you. I will 'LOVE YOU' like my own mother. So won't you come with me please"

Small drops of misty water fell on Alex's hand

The lady nodded her head with a large smile on her face, she couldn't have wished for something better than this in her entire life 'A LOVING SON'

Alex carried the lady like a princess while having a smile she never had in her entire life. A warmth she never felt before. "Then let's go!" Alex said with a smile and started walking

He saw the crossing signal green and began to cross the road. Skkreechhh ….. a hard breaking sound was heard and the next moment

Alex and the lady were on the ground covered in a pool of Blood. Alex was holding his life on a thread as he could feel his senses fusing off. He was hit by a truck with a drunk driver. He could hear people calling for ambulance. He then glanced at the lady

Alex smiled as he saw the old lady smiling at him even when she was at the death door.

'The gods betrayed me this time huh'

'Well atleast I had found something I was longing for before my death'

'I guess this is '

A flash of light appeared before Alex eyes
