After having some good tea time with the family Alan returned to his room and lay on his bed.

Alan was trying to organize his thoughts, from the conversation he had with his parents he was sure about only one thing.

'The strong feed on the week'

Alan raised his hand looking at the ceiling.

'From what I could realize with the conversation I had with mom and dad'

This world overflows with mana, after each individual awaken their powers, they enroll at the academy in the capital city of the kingdom. 'The Hogwarts academy' the only academy for magic in The Tranz kingdom. The children are enrolled when they real adulthood at Eighteen.

Each attribute has various spells we learn from spellbooks.

The spell books are categorized as:

Basic grade spell book

Lower grade spell book

Intermediate grade spell book

High grade spell book

And the rarest of all:

Heavenly grade spell book

Each book's prices vary on its rarity and the attributes they belong to. The rarer the attribute the costlier the book. 'Humans are greedy people Afterall'

The kingdom provides the awakened with basic grade spell book.

Even if a commoner gets awakened with a rare attribute, they won't have the money to buy even a lower grade spell book. Even If they manage to buy a basic level book, they will get crushed by a noble with a higher-grade spellbook.

'One thing is common in both lives'

[the rich get richer; the poor get poorer]

Alan sighed and thought 'harsh world indeed'

But not everyone can use a high-grade spell even if they have money to buy them.

'Father said something about mana, something like circles'

I had to make my parents believe that I lost some memories to get this information, but I forgot the most important part.

'I can't ask them again; I will be grounded If I said I forgot them again. Even though they are overprotective of my health, it's not a bad feeling.' Alan thought and continued 'who shall I ask about mana'. Alan looked to the right to find anna sitting and brewing the medicine.

Another thing which Is common 'medicine tastes bad here too'.

There was healing magic, it could heal one's body but not soul. Alan soul was better than before but not completely healed.

"a-ah anna" Alan called in a soft voice" could you come here.

Just as soon as Alan requested anna rushed to his aid. Her movement just now was very fast. Faster than the shadow guards of the family. 'What was annas past I know she was an orphan, she should be having an attribute right, but I haven't seen her use it at all'

Alan decided to ask about it once he recovered, she would have her reasons for not telling Alan.

"yes mas-"before anna could finish Alan eyebrows pulled closer anna knew Alan was annoyed so she repeated again.

"Yes A-Alan, is anything troubling you? "When anna said this Alan face returned normal.

Alan had order anna not to call him master.

"no, I am comfortable but-"Alan looked at anna and continued "do know what is mana?"

"Yes, Alan I know, what about it?" anna put on a curious face, she wanted to help her master every way possible.

"Can you explain how to absorb mana, I forgot what my father said" Alan looked with a Puppy face. Who could refuse a puppy face?

"Mana is like air, it is everywhere. But we need to absorb mana by meditating." Anna put on her reading glasses. she looked like a teacher

"The mana is filled with various attributed mixed with it, when one awakens his attribute, the body absorbs the most compatible mana particles from the mixtures of mana particles and gather in our heart"

"When Someone awakens one magic circle is drawn on the heart, the person will be able to do basic or even lower grade spells. But in order to increase their compatibility with the attribute he/she have to train with attribute like it is a part of their body. There are places where a particular attribute mana is high but those places are filled with beast. After we train it's in easier to gather a particular mana particle. When we hit the bottle neck, we meditate to draw another circle in our heart

"Anna moves closer to Alan and whispered "Alan let me tell you a secret when you hit your first bottleneck, ok"

Alan was taken back; it just piqued his curiosity. He was still not sure about the mana circles

"Hmm, anna I still don't understand about drawing mana circled on our heart. "Alan looked confused

"Ok let me make it simple, imagine you have an empty box. You fill that empty box with mana. When the box is full. You put another box on top of the first box but this time it is a bigger one, and it takes longer time to fill this one. when this one is filled you put another empty box on the second box, this box is even bigger than the other two and so it continues. As the number of boxes goes higher you can use powerful spells. Even your basic Spells become dangerous." Anna took her glasses off like a teacher after the lecture and asked.

"Did you understand now?" anna asked as Alan nodded his head immediately "you can ask me again anytime; I will be glad to help you"

"Sure! "Alan kept staring at anna as he continued "why not get yourself a teacher job instead of being my maid. You are very good at explaining" Alan chucked as he said it. he was just teasing her.

But.. Anna's face distorted and she came close to Alan and held his hand.

"Please Alan never ask me to leave you" anna looked serious.

After seeing her serious face Alan pulled her hand and she was on her knees.

Alan patted annas head "Come on anna I was just joking I would never ask you to leave me"

Anna's face became red hearing the words from the man she worshipped.

Anna was Twenty-two (22) just Six Years older than him. She met him when he was just six years old. From then She had eyes on no other man but Alan but she didn't cross her boundaries as his maid.

Alan only saw her as his second mother, he didn't have any feelings of that sort.

Who knows he isn't the Alan from before.

Looking at annas beat red face Alan continued "you can be my personal teacher if you like teaching"

After hearing these words anna nodded violently and replied fast "yes sure, I will learn everything possible to help you get stronger"

"You two seem to be getting along very well" a tone full of jealousy.

Alan was surprised as he saw his mother standing in Infront of the open door

"Mom you scared me," Alan said with the same shocked face

Seeing Catherine's glare, anna stood up and moved aside from Alan.

Noticing anna's sudden reaction Alan looked at his mom. Her face screaming with jealousy like it said

'He is my son!'

"Oh, my bad I should have knocked" Catherine said as she walked towards Alan's bed and sat next to him

She slowly started caressing his face and continued "I came to inform you to be prepared to meet an important guest tomorrow"

Hearing the word guest Alan wondered who could be the guest, but he had no clue.

He let out a sigh

Alan looked at Catherine with a curious face "Mom, who could that guest be. Dad mentioned while having tea too?"

Catherine swiftly responded "It is my daughter in law "

"But mother Victoria visited recently right, is she coming back again" Alan asked with a eager face

"I-It's not Victoria, I-Its "Catherine didn't want to ruin the surprise "You will see her tomorrow"

Alan wondered who could it be if not Victoria "Mom at least give me a clue"

"She is the daughter of my best friend, I am sure you will like her" Catherine kept caressing Alan's face and continued "I am sure she will like you, of course which girl wouldn't fall for my handsome son"

Catherine said with a proud face.

Catherine laid next to Alan  "You better be ready, Heeh"
