Chapter 2: Abnormal Security Bureau.

Ten years ago, sometime after Quoc was kidnapped.

He didn't know where the hell he was right now. The little boy only knew that the space around here was covered with purple light. Each horrifying cry like an unjust soul asking for life continuously resounded. The boy's feet shook like he was in an earthquake. In the center of it is a box, which is also the cause of everything. Most importantly, it was holding an important person he knew in this place.

- Go to hell! - Quoc shouted

Holding the hammer in his hand, the boy slashed hard at it. What Quoc wanted is to free the little girl inside the box. He hoped that he was doing the right thing and not accidentally freeing a monster. For a long time in this scary place, many of his friends had died in terrible ways by the monsters of the horror games and by their killing directly or indirectly.

Everything then became still, the purple light disappeared. Instead, it was dark, but there was still a little light so the boy could see the way.

However, the purple light then still appeared. The walls and objects around were like a person breathing fast and constantly bobbing. Nonetheless, the person important to Quoc returned. There were only Quoc and her in this place.

From the air, little Thanh Lam descended. Still the same yellow raincoat he was familiar with when he first fell into this place. Hidden behind the raincoat was a pretty face that anyone fell in love with at the first meeting.

- Very good! - The little boy exclaimed with joy.

The process of meeting between Quoc and Thanh Lam was also quite surprising. While lost in a house of giant straw dolls, the boy heard music coming from the basement. Curious, he followed the music and saw a captive little girl. She then went to find the familiar yellow raincoat and then said thank you innocuously.

- Let's go. Maybe the police are about to find a way in here. - Lam spoke up and pulled him back to reality. - I feel...

Suddenly, a giant eye the size of a fourth-level house appeared. It was covered with what looked mushy, much larger than that, not to mention the series of people in raccoon masks that may have been their real faces.

Moreover, everything around the two kids was slowly collapsing, making Quoc and Lam run as fast as they can. Even so, the disgusting thing still chased the two children and did not let go. It's getting bigger and bigger day by day.

- The ultimate game. Find a way out of this area. Don't fall down the cliff. No one will save you. - Horror sounds resounded.

- It's them again! - Quoc said.

After countless times, that thing appeared, following his and Lam's journey, not to mention the countless monsters that ordinary people could even imagine. They also thwarted the police's rescue efforts. The boy himself did not believe that the police could intervene in such matters even though he still vividly remembered the image of a police soldier with eyes filled with a fire burning in his heart.

- Run fast! - Thanh Lam continued to speak when everything around was gradually collapsing.

The ground below shook like it was in a terrible earthquake. Not to mention the series of giant eyes covered in sticky mud that was emerging from the ground.

- Wait for me, Lam! - Quoc said while chasing Thanh Lam. He had to admit that the girl's speed was much faster now.

Passing countless places, going through a giant door, they finally reached a bridge made of stone. For some reason, Quoc believed this would help him get out of here. On the other side was a door emitting blue light. Currently, Lam was running a long distance ahead of him, causing Quoc to miss chasing.

Suddenly, the middle part where Bai Quoc and Thanh Lam were standing split and fell. Faced with the situation where the monstrous mass of meat behind was still moving, Quoc took a chance to run as fast as he could. However, the boy wasn't that strong. It almost fell if it wasn't for the Lam to hold its hand.

- Pull me up, Lam. - Quoc said.

Even so, the girl in the yellow raincoat remained silent and did nothing.

- Pull me up! – He said again.

- Pull me up!!! - The child shouted.

The girl still did not respond.

After a while, the girl let go of her hand to let the boy fall.

- Why! - The boy wondered as Lam walked through that door. Although the two of them were new to each other, they had been through many things. There's no way it would be betrayed like that. The child was unacceptable.

Everything then gradually sank into absolute darkness. The rest was just a slapstick soundtrack like in a horror movie.

One second. Two seconds. Three seconds. One minute. Ten minutes. Twenty minutes. An hour.

Quoc did not know how long has passed. He was suddenly awakened by sounds like bubbling. The ground beneath its feet was now undulating chunks of flesh. The surrounding air was covered with fog and lifeless tree branches.

- Aren't you sad, kid! Or give it all away. Abandon humanity. Come play with me too. - A scary voice resounded in its head. At the same time, a black aura appeared.

- The police will dave me! - Quoc said.

- They can't do it. They cannot resist the gods…

That sound continued. This time it appeared everywhere.

- The Vietnam people’s police do not intend to oppose the gods. We only do our best to protect the Party, the Motherland, and the people's happy life! - A sharp sound resounded.

The will from the words made the other force panic and disappear. To Bai Quoc, this voice was famous cause it belonged to the police officer who dared to fight against that terrifying monster.

While he didn't know what happened, a series of flashlights caught the boy's attention. The crowd then pointed their flashlights at Quoc. Although it wanted to get closer, for some reason, it backed away. Maybe he just didn't get used to seeing normal people again.

- Everything is fine. - A man with a gentle face spoke up.

The uniform of a police officer is very prominent. This was the person who threatened the anomalous entity to run away just now.

- Very good…! - The boy sighed and fell

- There are also signs of trauma and bleeding from falling from a height - The police officer to his comrades - It is necessary to bring him to the hospital quickly.

Suddenly, the smoke of meat from earlier appeared again along with horrible screams.

- Hand the boy over to me… I will ignore… the person…. invaded… the land of others. – The terrible entity shouted – Human, your daughter…. was not…. are you saved?

- No offense intended but this child is a citizen of the future of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. We, the people’s police, on behalf of the Party and Motherland have the responsibility to protect this child. If your family is going to oppose the law enforcement officer, I will have to arrest or even destroy them. - The police officer spoke with confidence as if he was talking to a criminal rather than a monster.

The others were also in a ready-to-battle stance, showing no signs of fear.

- You're like superheroes! - Quoc said.

- Just a soldier of the people's police. - The officer spoke up. – American or Japanese superheroes in films are too perfect. We're just normal people trying to do our best.

- Is it difficult to be a police officer? - The child asked.

- It's hard, kid! Training is horrible. Also limited by law. – The man said. - The salary is higher than the average worker, but the life, health, and happiness lost because of the task, the salary cannot be regained.

- Then why are you still doing it? – Bai Quoc asked. His gaze fell on the man in a mobile police uniform.

- For children like you...! You don't know either.-  The officer spoke up.

After that, the other man took Quoc to the emergency room while his teammates and police soldiers were fighting monsters. Watching so many superhero movies, it never meant that real-life heroes were people in police uniforms. They were really like angels who are ready to deal with the demons from hell.

…………..

Currently, the secret facility of the Abnormal Security Bureau is in Ho Chi Minh City.

Quoc was startled awake at this time. He just had a dream. It was the boy's memory of the moment he was saved by the powerful policemen from an entity.

Currently, all of his body was attached with wires like spider webs. His nearly severed arm itself was strangely glued together. Besides, his hand was still there.

“Where the hell am I?” – He thought.

The surroundings looked like a hospital room with white walls like snow. However, his police’s feelings told him that this was not the case. It was too quiet and looked more like a secret facility.

- What happened? Why I'm here? – The man wondered.

He did not understand why he survived when most of the other soldiers, including Khoa, his best friend died. Most importantly, they died at the hands of things that ordinary people could not imagine.

- Are you awake? - A young man's voice rang out.

It was a man in the white uniform of a doctor or scientist. The face looked quite calm. It had a cylindrical shape with sharp eyes. Quoc also saw a bit of cunning in this face, but because he had just met, he tried to be polite.

- I am Major Nguyen Dong Hoa, Abnormal Security Bureau, also known as ASB, Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. – The person said. - Speaking of which, we should also call each other "comrade".

- Yes, comrade! - Quoc said. - And why aren’t you wearing a police uniform?

- Because I specialize in research, I usually wear lab clothes. - Hoa said. - Police are not just about holding guns. The police school probably taught you this, too.

- Therefore, it is. - Quoc nodded, trying to relax but still maintaining a serious attitude. The strict discipline of the police academy has created a lot of habits for the guy.

- And you don't seem surprised by the ASB, do you? - Major Dong Hoa said.

Strictly speaking, ordinary people, even police officers in the industry, must be a little surprised by an organization like coming out of a sci-fi movie under the Ministry of Public Security. However, Bai Quoc was not at all surprised by this organization.

- When I was little. It was everyone who saved me. – The man said. – That memory is quite forgettable.

Although the answer was sincere, it caused the police officer to slightly frown.

- How do you remember everything? Shouldn't ASB erase your memory!? - He asked. - This is already impossible!

- I do not know too. Sure they did something like that but I can still remember. - Quoc said.

The trainee did not understand how he could remember and he was just looking forward to one day joining this organization. That's why Bai Quoc re-entered the police force and tried to get the best results possible.

- So how much do you know about anomalies, known as Abnormal Objects? - Dong Hoa asked.

- Abnormal Objects!? - Bai Quoc did not understand.

- Yes, you were attacked by them. They’re also known as A.O. Strictly speaking, it was the police group you joined. - The mysterious officer spoke up. He doesn't seem to care about the deaths of the others.

- I can't believe it…!Even though I went through something like that when I was a kid. - Bai Quoc exclaimed.

It was unthinkable for trained policemen to be beaten to pieces. They were not novices, but police officers who had dealt with countless types of crimes.

- Even people who have been at the Bureau for a long time have encountered many unbelievable things. Or are we talking about Anomalies now? - A female voice rang out.

At this moment, a figure entered. That was a girl.

- Lam, are you here?

At this time, Thanh Lam was dressed very well, too beautiful for a mysterious organization under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. The girl was currently wearing a yellow shirt with white flowers and black pants. On her silky down hair was a butterfly-shaped hairpin. Besides, it was a girl with big round eyes under the fur of willow leaves. The lips were quite plump like peach petals. The face was too perfect. For Quoc, he must say that she was more suitable for the stage than the police. Most importantly, this face was very familiar, it's just that Quoc can't remember where he met it.

- Lam…!? - Quoc frowned as he looked into the young woman's beautiful eyes.

It reminded him of the girl in a yellow raincoat he had met as a child when he was kidnapped by the so-called "Abnormal Object". Almost two years ago he had met again at the police academy when the deputy minister, now the minister, came to visit.

- She is…? - He asked even though he had already guessed which part.

In past, he wasn't sure, but now he’s sure.

- Hello comrade. My name is Nguyen Thi Thanh Lam. Speaking of which, we all graduated from the People's Police Academy. – She said.

- The clothes don't look like much. By the way, we've met at the academy before. - Quoc said.

He was telling the truth about the outfit, not being sarcastic.

- Because the place I going toto is n  to suitable for police uniforms. Besides, I'm not an official policeman yet. – The female trainee spoke up. – But do you want to come along?

This made the boy a little surprised when the two had only met for a few minutes. She willingly invited him on a mission.

- That's OK. - The young man said.

Anyway, Bai Quoc wanted to know what was going on.

- That's OK. Anyway, Comrade Director and Minister are quite interested in him. - Dong Hoa said.

- Director… Minister…!? - The male trainee opened his mouth again.

Although knowing that this organization was noticed, it was an honor for him to be noticed by the minister of public security himself.

- Aren't you jealous? - She said when she was looking at Dong Hoa.

The attitude looked like a girlfriend looking at a boyfriend, but it's a bit different.

- You know I'll never leave you.

The guy named Hoa spoke confidently as if he was talking to the item in his hand. To be honest, Quoc found the relationship between the two of them a bit reluctant.

- Can I go yet? – He asked.

Quoc interjected into the conversation. He seemed to want to pull Thanh Lam away from that Dong Hoa guy.

- Then change your clothes. - Thanh Lam said. - Are you sure you're not going to wear patient clothes!?

Then, he noticed the patient clothes on his body.

- I got it! - Quoc spoke up.

For Quoc, this girl was “Thanh Lam” whom he knew when he was a kid, but she seemed to be much happier. Leaving that aside, he quickly changed into his normal clothes. He should have wanted to put on his police uniform again, but this upcoming trip was not suitable.

- Here's the file on what attacked you. Read. - The woman said and stuffed a file in the boy's face.

- What is this!? - Quoc exclaimed in front of the profile he was viewing.

- The information. – The young woman said.
