Unwanted Achievements Part 2

“I am Elrene Viane, the only daughter of Duchess Elrumy Viane…” Elrene, the girl I saved that time I meet her again. She introduces herself gracefully as if she really is the daughter of a noble in medieval Europe.

I don't know how to respond, because this girl named Elrene could actually be playing a trick on me by acting so gracefully.

In the end, I just waved before turning my attention to the broadcast screen. Staring at my Iron Knife for a moment, then I look back at the broadcast screen on the stone block.

“Perhaps, someone has already completed the first mission…” I mutter.

I turn my head for a moment without saying anything to Elrene. Looking back at the broadcast screen, a line containing the details of the first mission I touch. Then, a new screen appears to display the contents of the details of the first mission.

A button to report the progress of the mission completion appears at the very bottom of the screen, then I press the button after I considered it to actually declare the first mission completed.

Apparently, my entire performance during mission completion was recorded by something unknown. After the information loading process from me was obtained, detailed recorded information appears about what I had done. Namely, the report on whether or not the requirements are met to declare the mission has been successfully completed.

In my case, the requirements are met without any flaws. Or, maybe everything I've done has exceeded the requirements needed to be able to declare the mission successfully completed.

A new screen appears again, displaying congratulations on my success from who knows what. Then, a notification pops up that I have achieved two new achievements.

“Whoa… Whoa… Whoaa!!! You are really great, Kennomaru-sama…”

I look at Elrene with an awkward smile. 'People might hate me even more...' I think to myself screaming, really tired of this mentality of mine getting things that people would definitely envy.

"Hey Elrene, please keep my whereabouts and our meeting a secret, okay?" I put my palms together in front of my face towards Elrene.

Elrene who was being mesmerized by the achievement I have just obtained is stunned. She is confused, why I’m like trying to hide myself from people. Shouldn't I be proud and show my greatness to others?

Even though she doesn't understand my thoughts, Elrene with a smile accepts my request.

“But, allow me to see what rewards you get from completing your first mission…” Elrene winks at me.

“A-alright. That's not a problem...”

After I waited for a while, nothing happens other than the previous screen that I haven't removed. I frowned for a moment before taking a closer look at the screen in front of me, afraid I've missed something. However, I find nothing but notifications about my achievements, congratulations, and details of the first mission I have completed.

Elrene who’s behind me is surprised by my behavior. “Kennomaru-sama, what exactly are you waiting for?” she asks, unable to hold back her curiosity about what exactly I am waiting for, after she walked over and stood beside me.

“Well, I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know where the promised gift is...” I scratch one side of my sideburns while smiling awkwardly.

It was certain what Elrene's next response would be, she pats her forehead lightly. She didn't expect it, it turns out that I, who had done this extraordinary thing, do not know the mechanism for taking the prize.

“Try it, Kennomaru-sama, look at the status screen…” Elrene orders.

I stared at Elrene for a moment, before I choose to give it a try. Just to see the Status Screen is not a problem. Then after the Status Screen appeared, something is different from the screen emerged.

"This..." I stuttered.

Elrene smiled at me, then says "It's Inventory, a feature that only appears after the first mission is successfully completed..."

I wonder how Elrene found out. She seems to have had experience and recognized the mechanics of using the screen. "How did you find out?" I ask, quite curious.

"That is a secret~"

Staring at Elrene flatly, I immediately turn my attention to a new feature that has just appeared. Inventory will appear only by pressing the arrow button which is still on the Status Screen with its position under the (X) whose function is to close the screen to the side or you can also swipe the top of the screen to go to the Inventory Screen.

Then, in the Inventory there is an array or collection of rows and columns that are fused together called a matrix. In one of the components in the matrix called cells, there is an illustration of a small treasure box according to the size of the cell.

After I touched the cell containing the treasure box, the treasure box that was previously an illustration turns into a real one. A treasure box appears out of empty air and simply falls onto the floor of the Holy Altar.

Elrene giggles looking at me dumbfounded.

I shake my head to refocus, then I immediately open the treasure box.

“An unknown piece of equipment?” I mutter, frowning, surprised by the gift I got. I see there is no clear explanation in the description of the gift. The screen only says what I mumbled just now.

Seeing the gift that is a piece of equipment in my hand for a moment, I quickly put it on. Then unexpectedly, this new outfit I wear changed my appearance almost completely. The shirt I am wearing turned dark black with the sleeves getting long after I put on the sleeveless robe.

The pants also turn black, but there is no noticeable change apart from being tighter which isn't stifling.

“Whoa… Surprising…” I’m mesmerized by the drastic change in my appearance, watching the process of how my entire outward appearance changed. I wonder what other people think of me, unfortunately there is no mirror.

There is a ring, earrings, and a sharp weapon in the form of a dagger what I need to replace the dull Iron Knife, which turned out to be all that was left with it.

Here is a description written on the screen on each item:

Sprinter Ghost Ring, a ring that is able to increase the mental resilience of the ring owner so as to reduce damage from illusion attacks that are intended to disrupt the target's mentality. Mental health recovery is 10% per second, then mental endurance gets an increase of 200% from current mental resilience.

Sprinter Ghost Earrings, a pair of dark black earrings designed to be as simple as possible. Using one earring can increase dexterity by 50%, then after wearing both will increase by 150% in total.

Sprinter Ghost Dagger, twin daggers that accompany a Sprinter-Ghost's entire life. This dagger is capable of slashing body and soul. His sharpness is able to ignore 5% of physical resistance as well as magic protection when attacking an opponent.

The special effect of using the Ghost Sprinter Gear is the durability of the equipment that will never be damaged. Because consciously, all parts of the Ghost Sprinter Equipment are not made of chemicals that will erode with use.

I gulped after reading one by one the details of the Ghost Sprinter Gear components. Then I remember that I have not seen the details on this sleeveless robe which I first wore, so I immediately look at the description.

Sprinter Ghost Cloak, a piece of cloth stolen from the ghost of the Nightmare Lady Queen who once ruled the world. This sleeveless cloak grants the wearer the ability to merge with darkness.

I whistled after I finish carrying the description of the Ghost Cloak Sprinter.

Not waiting any longer, I immediately put on the Sprinter Ghost Ring and Sprinter Ghost Earrings. At the same time I put those two things on, the sensation I first felt when I accidentally put the initial status points on dexterity again I feel now. Then, the tiredness that had been haunting me lately seems quite clear to begin to recover.

Less than ten seconds, I again feel in prime condition.

"How amazing..." I mutter looking at myself in amazement.

From the first sight of the gift I received, Elrene is stunned. Not because she likes the design of his Ghost Sprinter Gear, but because she knew the power of the Ghost Sprinter Gear without having to reread the on-screen descriptions.

Stuttering, Elrene asks “How did you get the Ghost Sprinter Gear, Kennomaru-sama?”

I raise an eyebrow at Elrene's ridiculous question, because I'm sure she also knows how I got this Ghost Sprinter Gear. "Hey, didn't you see that earlier?" I ask to be sure.

Elrene’s stunned to hear herself being questioned back before shaking her head to answer “It's not like that. I just find it hard to believe that the reward for completing the first mission would appear as a rare gift like that Ghost Sprinter Gear you've been using…”

“Really, Ghost Sprinter Gear t is a rarity?” I can't believe my own assumptions.

"Of course! I can't believe you can be so stupid as a person who has achieved three successive achievements at the start of this Trial Of Heroes…” Elrene calls out to me breathlessly. Then slowly starting to calm down, she finally realized that she just yelled at me.

“E-excuse me, Kennomaru-sama!”
