Luck entered a big rather weird room with the lady, as he took a good look around the place Luck noticed that behind the colorful room there was a weird machine, it looked like a coffin but it had multiple cables and tubes attached to it, there was also a big screen attached to the wall where all the cables came from, the lady guided Luck into this weird looking room

"If it's possible take off your clothes and enter the machine"

The lady told him, Luck was devastated

"Like right now? W-with you in the room?"

Luck said embarrassed, the lady sighed and walked outside the room, Luck then felt a little more comfortable, he then undressed and entered the machine

'Why does it have water inside it'

He wondered as he came in contact with the shallow water

"HEY I'M INSIDE, NOW WHAT?"

Luck screamed in order for the lady to hear, she then entered the room and walked up to the TV screen, she pressed multiple buttons and the machine rose up

"What is happening? What is this machine?"

Luck asked, but it was a bit late to ask now, the process had already begun, the machine started to fill with water, Luck started to panic and kicked and pushed the machine around

"Calm down, it's part of the process, keep in mind that in a bit an object will fall inside the machine, make sure you bite down on it, it will really help with the pain"

the lady told him calmly

'Pain?'

Luck wondered, the object then fell down, it was something like a belt but it was much softer, Luck bit it without second guesses, the water had almost reached his mouth, but before it could raise higher the lady stopped the water flow

"Sir get ready for the impact, you may think that you will die but I assure you that you will be alright"

The lady then pulled a lever and the machine started making a strange sound, before Luck could identify the sound a great pain surrounded his body, Luck immediately started to scream because of the pain, he also started to tear up, his gums started to bleed out because of the strength he bitted down the object

'WHAT THE HELL IS THIS PAIN? I FEEL LIKE MY LIMBS ARE COMING OFF, MY EYES ARE ABOUT TO POP OUT OF MY BODY, MY ORGANS ARE ABOUT TO BE SQUASHED FROM THIS PRESSURE'

These were the only thoughts Luck had, but before Luck knew it the pain stopped, and the lady then pressed some buttons and the machine came down, the capsule that Luck was in opened up, Luck then quickly got up and ran towards the lady, he had forgotten that he was naked, Luck's mind had completely went blank, the only thing he wanted to do was hit the lady, but when he tried to the lady grabbed by his arm and threw him back with a judo throw, Luck hadn't noticed but the lady had him on an unbreakable lock

"Try to attack me one more time and your hand will be shattered to pieces!"

she told him as she glared at him, before things could get wilder Kamira entered the room, when the lady saw her she immediately let go of Luck

"You understand what you have done, right Risha?"

Kamira told her with a furious look in her eyes

"I'm sorry ma'am I swear this will never happen again, I was just teaching him not to assault his superiors around here"

as Risha was explaining to Kamira, Luck slowly got up and punched Risha at her chin, Luck didn't know he had mana enforced his punch, Risha wasn't affected by the punch since she managed to enforce her chin with mana

"See ma'am? that's what I'm talking about"

Risha said so she could excuse herself, Kamira didn't feel like this justified her actions so she took Risha to her office

"Luck dress up and wait here, an informational video will play to inform you about mana usage"

Kamira told him as she exited the room with Risha, after their leave Luck put on his clothes and started to spit on the ground since his mouth was filled with blood, as he was sitting on the couch the TV turned on, and a well-dressed man appeared on the TV

"Hello to everyone watching this! I'm professor Khora and I'm the CEO of Unofficial Mana Police (UMP) If you are watching this I assume you don't know how to control your mana and that's okay! said the man on the TV, Luck then closed his eyes and tried to visualize mana, the sound of the dog biting a man began, Luck was weirded out but to his surprise, it helped

'what the hell? I can feel the pain'

Luck thought as he concentrated, he then put all of his effort to reduce the pain with mana, it didn't take Luck a second to do it

'It was easier than I thought'

but once Luck opened his eyes he could see Gnomon sitting near him, he was pocking his arm with 2 knifes

"WHEN DID YOU GET HERE!"

Luck was terrified, Gnomon laughed, Gnomon didn't expect Luck to scream like that

"Calm down kid!"

he said as he laughed, he couldn't contain himself, Luck was embarrassed

"So this test is basically someone stabbing you with 2 knives and you are supposed to use mana to defend yourself?"

Luck asked

"Not really, this was recorded for people like you that hadn't awakened their mana yet but had a large amount of it, You know the video said most of the people have more mana than their red blood cells but this is a lie, most people have little to no mana in their body, only those that can use mana have a large amounts of mana, the man only said this to make people feel like they are normal, because in the past people thought that mana was a curse, something that humans shouldn't mess with, but nowadays it's considered a gift from God, with that being said you didn't even need to watch the video because the machine we created is a device that can force the mana out of someone's body"

Luck felt stupid and relief that he didn't need to do much to learn how to control mana, but he still was a bit confused about mana

"So wait! I get all that but how do I move mana around my body? I also don't know how to increase my mana pool..."

"Don't worry about that now, you can already use mana even though you don't know it, and about how to increase your mana pool, don't worry about that either because as long as you use mana your mana pool will increase. The real problem is to get you to use the chaos elements"

Gnomon said interrupting Luck, Gnomon then reached for a disc on the top of a shelf, the disc was an informational disc about elements

"Luck do you know about the elements or should I play this video?"

"Don't worry Caroline informed me about the elements so you can save it for the next member, right now I want to do a job so I can get paid, we are not achieving anything by sitting here"

Luck told Gnomon, he felt the same so he quickly placed the disc back into its case

"Follow me Luck, we are going to your first mission"

Gnomon said with a smile, Luck then excitedly followed Gnomon outside, once the 2 of them exited the mana zone they were presented with a plane, they then entered the plane and took off

"By the way where are we going? You said we are going on a mission but you didn't tell me what we will exactly do"

Luck said, he seemed kind of nervous about his first mission

"It's going to be alright, do you not trust me Luck?"

Gnomon asked, Luck didn't answer

After some hours of flying they reached their location, it was an empty road in the middle of nowhere, Luck could only spot a single house at the end of the road

"Seems like we are already in the mana zone, take this! you are going to need it"

Gnomon said to Luck as he handed him a gun

"W-What? I don't know how to use a gun!"

Luck said anxiously

"Don't worry, the gun is loaded with mana bullets, they will not kill anyone, as for its use just press the trigger, keep in mind that you only have 18 bullets inside of it so make use of all of them"

Gnomon said in an attempt to calm him down, it didn't seem to work but that was all he could do

the 2 of them approached the house slowly, Gnomon was leading the way, the house seemed abandoned but Luck could sense mana inside of it, once they reached a window Gnomon signaled him

"Kid I will go through the window but I want you to bust through the door first, they will not expect me to come out of the window"

Gnomon said to Luck, he agreed to Gnomon so he got close to the door and got ready to break it

'I have to use mana to make this mission succeed'

Luck thought, he then enhanced his leg with mana and kicked the door, he easily broke the door and entered the building, 4 men were sitting in a table, they were playing poker

"IF ANYONE MOVES I WILL BLOW YOUR HEADS OFF!"

Luck yelled at them as he pointed the gun at them, Luck couldn't even hear his own voice because of how loud his heart was pounding, his hands were also shaking from fear, it didn't take long for the men to see that Luck was nervous, one of the men stood up and started to slowly walk towards Luck

"Hey kid stop fooling around and place your weapon down, we don't want anyone to get hurt"

Before he could get closer Luck pulled the trigger, he shot the gun but missed the man, Luck only manage to scratch the man with the bullet

"Now you have done it"

the man said as he charged at Luck, Luck threw the gun at him from instinct, the gun was heavy so it stunned the man, Luck then enhanced his fist and stroked the man with a swing, but the man didn't defend against the hit, he simply tanked it without any problem, the man then kicked Luck with enough power to launch him outside the house, Luck fell to the ground and coughed up blood, the pain he felt was insane

"Did you think that you actually stood a chance at beating us?"

the man told him with a smug on his face, Luck tried to stand up but as soon as he got on his feet the man punched him

'The whole world is spinning around'

Luck thought as he looked around the place

"Nice weapon kid, if you actually had aim you would probably killed us, also did you really think it was a good idea to come here to fight us without even knowing how to use any element?"

the man told him, he then pointed the gun at Luck

"Any last worlds kid?"

"GNOMON WHERE ARE YOU? YOU BASTARD!!!"

Luck screamed, the men were terrified when they heard Gnomon's name

"W-W-Wait kid is Gnomon with you?"

He asked, but before Luck could answer him Gnomon fell from the roof and punched the man as he was falling, the ground ended up breaking from the impact of the hit, the man was unconscious after the powerful hit from Gnomon, one of the men then rushed at Gnomon, the man's hand was emitting a weird red light, the man then punched the air and a huge explosion occurred that was heading towards Gnomon and Luck, Gnomon quickly grabbed Luck and jumped high up to avoid it, after the jump Gnomon remained in the air, he was using the element of space to fly

"Well, well that's not a good way to introduce yourselves to someone"

Gnomon said with a smile while looking down at them, one of the men then created a spear from nothing and threw it at Gnomon, Gnomon easily stopped it with the element of space and redirected the spear back at him, the spear pierced the man's leg rooting him to the ground, the man left a loud scream from the pain, Gnomon then landed on the ground and started attacking the other 2 with close range attacks, one of the 2 fell down from the first strikes, but the other man seemed to be alright

"You are tougher than the others so that must be you are the boss right? what was your name again? oh oh I remembered! you are the infamous Tui Porkflank, seems like your legacy will stop here!"

Gnomon told him, he was smiling the whole time

"I will not lose like that in a shitty place like this, now behold my SMZ (Specialized Mana Zone)"

Tui said, he then merged his hands together and suddenly Gnomon and Luck were transported to a place that looked like the inside of a cave

"Hey, kid are you awake? I don't want you to miss this, this is a lifetime chance for you to see my SMZ"

Gnomon said as he was pocking Luck's head

"I was awake the whole time but I was a bit dizzy, I now feel better... Wait why are we inside a cave?"

Luck asked, he was very confused because they were outside a house moments before

"Don't ignore me, you bastard!"

Tui screamed as he rushed from the darkness of the cave, Gnomon kicked him, Tui then transformed to a bat after Gnomon kicked him, after kicking him a hundred other bats came from the dark, it was an illusion base mana zone so it greatly increased Tui's ability to create illusions, Gnomon then used the element of destruction to destroy all of the bats with a loud supersonic wave

"Come on Tui! I thought that you were strong but that's child's play, come at me for real this time! I want to show off to my new student"

Gnomon said, he looked bored, Tui had enough, he quickly emerged from the dark with a rocky spike, as soon as Gnomon saw him he place his hands together, he created his own SMZ inside Tui's, Once the 3 of them entered the mana zone they were surrounded by stars and old fashioned clocks, Tui and Luck were unable to move

"Do you like this place Luck? this is a specialized zone that focuses on defense, I know it must sound weird but it's the truth, right now we are 2 light years apart even though it seems like we are not even 1 meter apart"

"What's the reason to create a mana zone like that?"

Luck asked Gnomon then flew towards Tui and grabbed him, he then grabbed Luck too, Gnomon took a moment to think and then went to a specific place inside the mana zone and he then destroyed it, once all of them exited the mana zone they were inside a prison cell

"When did we..."

Luck mumbled as he looked around the place, Gnomon then touched Luck's shoulder and teleported him and himself outside the cell

"Now do you understand the usage of my mana zone?"

Gnomon said as he patted Luck's head, Luck nodded

"I have informed the agency about the other guys outside the house so we can now go for a drink"

Gnomon said

"Wait where are we?"

Luck asked curiously

"In the UMP's HQ of course! now, are you ready for an African lunch?"

Gnomon said to Luck with a warm smile

The 2 of them then exited the huge building filled with UMP agents and took one of the agency's cars and got ready to go eating
