Chapter 10

Dallas drove Rosalie to Jones's company early in the morning with the black Benz, which Old Mrs. Jones bought for Rosalie.

"Come pick me up at 5:00 pm," Rosalie said as she hurried out of the car with enthusiasm.

"Sure," Dallas said, and winked at her.

"Bye Babe."

"Bye prettiest." Dallas watched Rosalie walking towards the glasses doors. He started missing her from that moment, and wish that she should look back at her.

When Rosalie was about to enter the door, she felt the instinct to look back, and then follow her instinct immediately.

Dallas quickly waved to her as she smiled and stepped into the company.

Dallas took a few minutes of breath in the car. Now, he had to speed the car back home, and make some research on the laptop of the built man who he first killed.

Once he got home, he hurried into his room, threw the key on the table, and pulled the laptop from under the bed.

Switching on the laptop, he realizes the laptop needs a password to be opened. He rubbed his palms incessantly.

This isn't a big deal, because he had learned about programming language, and he was an expert in hacking system.

After an hour of debugging, he hacked the password and opened the laptop. He saw the website of the "Eye and the Blood" group.

No one can see the web in internet except their members. And without wasting time, Dallas click on the icon. The picture of the group's mark welcomes him.

And then the pictures of all the members of the group appeared on the screen. They remind him of every devilish laughter he saw in the faces of the people who burned his family.

He scrolled down, looking for the picture of the group's leader. What he found out stunned him.

He saw every mission which the group had carried out. And he saw the tons of new missions which they must complete daily.

Yesterday they had failed to carry out a mission because Mr. Drummond was killed.

Dallas click on the past missions which they had carried out. He scrolled down, and see the many pictures of their victims. He also saw the picture of his family.

He saw his childhood picture. There was a red mark on the picture, which shows that the person had been murdered and the mission was successful.

After some hours browsing into every detail on the web, Dallas saw the picture of the group's leader. His name was Drake Gordon. He has a moustache, and one eye. His other eye was covered with black rubber, which means it has spoiled.

Dallas quickly copied every important information and pictures from the web into his flash drive. Especially all the new missions which they must carry out.

Their next mission is to make sure Gordon was saved from any bullets on the day they will visit Mr. Drummond's funeral. Many snipers would be near the place to shoot and catch the unknown criminal.

After many hours of washing clothes and cooking, Dallas received a call from Michael, his father-in-law.

"Hello, sir," Dallas said

"I give you thirty minutes to drive my daughter's car to my house now. You need to take me to somewhere," Michael said, hanging up the call immediately.

It took Dallas twenty minutes to reach Number 10, Cambria Heights, NY.

"Oh dear, it's true. My daughter has a cool car," Michael said, hugging Dinah, in happiness.

Dinah then look at Dallas with disgust. "I don't trust this poor man. He can steal my daughter's money and drive the car away. Why can't Rosalie be driving her car by herself?"

"I'm not that type of man, madam," Dallas said

"Shut up," Michael said. "Don't think you own whatever my daughter has. You are just a slave and a driver."

"There's nothing good in him to be boosted as Rosalie's husband," Dinah added.

Michael takes a glance at his wristwatch. "I'm getting late, need to get there on time."

Dallas quickly entered the car as Michael sat in the backseat.

"Where should I drive you to?" Dallas asked.

"I don't want my wife to hear. Speed the car first."

When Dallas drive the car to a busy street, Michael revealed where he was going. It's a place Dinah mustn't know indeed, to prevent her from slamming iron on his head.

Michael was going to Clara's house to impress her with the car. To him, Clara was more attractive than Dinah.

"What if she later knows the truth?" Dallas asked.

"How can she know if you don't tell her? Do you want to reveal the truth?"

"Oh, no."

Michael smirked. "Trust me. If you tell her I'm dating another woman, I won't allow you to marry my daughter again. Okay?"

"Okay, sir," Dallas said, and slowed the car as he saw Detective Jack and Detective Helen stopping many cars on the street.

Jack was forcing men out of the car, checking their shoulders, to see the wound of the bullet he shot at the unknown criminal.

Dallas wants to turn the car and speed off, but doesn't want Michael to suspect anything.

"What's going on there?" Michael asked. "Is that not the detective Jack?"

"He is. Should I turn back?"

"Why should you?"

"You are already getting late. It might take us hours before getting out of here.”

"Jack can't stop Jones's family."

What Michael expected was not what he met. Detective Jack stopped them and ask them to come out politely.

Only Dallas could feel the anger in every Jack's words. Dallas knows how it feels to feel helpless when someone killed his father. And somehow, he knows Jack wants to take revenge, too.

"You can't just stop Jones's family. I'm rushing to somewhere, for God's sake," Michael protests.

"It won't take long. I will just check your shoulders," Jack said.

"Mine or Dallas's shoulder?"

"Both of you."

Michael then hurried out of the car, and allowing Jack to check his shoulders.

And when it reach Dallas's turns, he walked out of the car gently, and unbuttoned his poor shirt by himself before Jack.

Dallas was really calm, although the wound was on his shoulder.
