I lost focus

"I'm off." Jerry anounced and stood up."

"Where are you going to?" Levi inquire half heartedly as he was busy with his laptop and other self invented tools.

"To pay Rafael's dues at Team Fifty's Tent." He replied.

Team fifty's tent was the name Bonny have to his room as it was the meeting place for his gang whose members ranked from forty-seven to fifty-one.

"I don't think there's need for that anymore." Rafael informed him.

"Why?" he inquired.

"It's best if we leave the details out for now I can always tell you later but now we have to discuss." Rafael explained and turned to look as Levi.

"Levi." Rafael yelled out loud in order to draw his attention the issue.

"You can speak while my ears listen." He said still not paying attention to the issue.

"That won't work." Rafael informed him as he got up and walked towards him. "Spare us some of your time tonight. He told him and closed his laptop.

"Okay." Replied Levi while biting his lips in frustration. "But you must be brief and not beat about the bush."

"Since I'm not permitted to beat about the bush then I am permitted to ask you this. Why are you weak?" Rafael spoke up staring directly into Levi's eyes.

"Me?" Levi asked in shock and from his roommates he received an assuring nod.

"Because I wish to be different from others."

"How do you mean? Do you wish to remain this weak forever" Jerry impatiently asked.

"Nope, but I think is kinda super cool if instead of the soul strength and abilities I put on a suit which can do more. Have blasters, can make me fly and stuffs as such only then can I feel fulfilled, strong and on top of the world. I..." He continued ranting till his roommates can bear it no more.

Rafael winked at Jerry and they lifted him up from his position and placed him on a chair at the centre of the room.

"I think it would be nice if you grow stronger this way all others can always come later." Rafael told him and patted his head.

"Get ready to nourish your soul." Jerry informed him. He tried to protest but he could only raise his hands and open his mouth; no sound successfully escaped his throat.

Rafael closed his eyes and as he had been taught he opened his pores and implored mother nature to grant her energy to a yearning soul. In response to his plea a light roar began to engulf the room and soon a liquid like mist began to circle around him. This clearly was not the result he hoped for however the quantity he could gather did not fail to amaze his roommates.

He tried his best to dispelled the gathered energy but failed. Like an excited child the energy began to flow into him without hesitation and like before he began to writhe in pain and collapse to the floor when he could no longer near the pains which throbbed his chest region.

"Are you okay?" Jerry asked him when he lifted his head up.

"I'm fine." He replied gritting his teeth. He sat up only to see Levi back on his bed using his equipments. He chuckled lightly and then motioned on Jerry. They once again walked up to him closed his system and lifted him back onto the chair.

Rafael closed his eyes and his heart began to pound; he wished not to experience the pain again but he was determined to step his position up through his buddies. This time he shut his pores and encouraged Levi to open his own wider up. Again, the vibration in the air began to make the window vibrate.

Rafael gasped fearfully when he saw the energy moving towards him but immediately heaved a sigh of relief when it passed him and wrapped Levi up and soon a soothing feeling enveloped Levi.

He began to feel as though an innate yearning in him was being satisfied. He could not help but keep smiling till the last drop of liquid mist disappeared in him.

"It worked." Jerry whispered as his eyes widened in shock. " You might be the first person who did it." He chipped in.

"More please." Levi requested and Rafael fed him up according to his plea and few minutes later he again turned to Rafael to inquire if he could still grant him more.

"You are sure a weirdo." Jerry commented as he watched him smile at what he thought was not funny.

"That's enough for today. For now we should just check how Stronger you have gotten." Said Rafael.

"Do you mean that makes me stronger." He asked before he could think.

"Let's hope it does. Now lift me up." Rafael directed.

"You know I can't do much." He began speaking as he walked towards him. "I doubt if I can lift you up to three centimeters above the gr...oooh." Levi howled as he struggled to regain his balance on lifting Rafael. When he succeeded he dropped him back on the floor.

"You are too light! Is your extra fat only for decoration?" He spat out as he was still recovering from the shock of tripping. he overestimated Rafael's weight.

"I don't think it's Raf who is too light. I think it is you who is stronger.

"I weigh ninety-five kilograms Rafael chipped in."

"You do?" Levi asked in shock while examining his hands Rafael replied with an embarrassed nod.

"Do soul nourishment energy make you feel pain." He inquired after few moments looking at Rafael who nodded.

When he answered him he looked at him in shock. His replied seemed to him as impossible.

"Why don't we try this on Jerry?" Levi inquired and turned his gaze to Jerry who had gone to sit on his bed in exhaustion.

"Shall we?" Rafael motioned to Levi and they went to Jerry, lifted him and placed him on the chair.

Rafael watched as Jerry absorbed the energy in pleasure and this soured his mood a bit. It pained him that he couldn't feel like they did even when they did the same thing.

"Huh?" He gasped when he raised his eyes to see the soul energy bundled up and making it's way towards him as though it were alive and he sped out of the room. He only came back to gather it once again when it dissipated and Jerry resumed nourishing his soul.

"What happened?" Questioned Levi.

"I lost focus." Rafael replied.
