Challenging rank hundred to a duel

Beating their expectations, quite a number of students were already at the dueling platform even before their arrival. They were lucky to get a space at the front row where they sat patiently for several moments with high spirits.

Being unable to hold back any longer, Jerry and Levi resumed chatting with lowered voices and facing no opposition from Rafael who was too immersed in his thoughts, their voices gradually began to rise till in grew as loud as that of others who also chatted happily.

Though Levi was eager to show off his inventions and Jerry could not wait to see it their excitement could not soar high enough as they were concerned about the sudden mood swing of their friend. Soon it became their distraction and they turned to him and worried their brains on how to draw his attention and possibly enliven mood yet he was oblivious of this fact.

"At my soul nourishment level who should my strength be on par with, Raphael?" He inquired.

Though Rafael's condition caused him great discomfort, he had longed for a while to be asked such question this made him unable to snub Levi.

"You have absorbed a great deal of soul energy in a rapid rate in response to this, your body gradually adapts to this new strength. Right now your body is yet to understand its full strength potential and

Even though your Energy pool may be on par with even rank eighty, your raw strength can only rival at most rank two hundred and ten but with the advantage of the combat skills you have learnt from me, you can at most defeat rank two hundred.

"I will challenge him after this lectures." Levi declared.

"What of mine?" Jerry impatiently asked.

"I doubt if you can even defeat me now." Rafael manged to replied coldly before he let out several deep sneezes in quick successions.

"Did you catch cold?" Levi and Jerry asked in unison.

"I doubt I did." Was Rafael's simple reply.

Jerry was about to turn his gaze to Levi but his eyes caught something and immediately widened in worry.

"What's wrong with your eyes?" Jerry asked Rafael fretfully. Levi turned and he too shuddered at what he saw. His eyes reddened to a great extent all of a sudden. It almost shone red.

"I don't know. All I know is that I suddenly began to feel sleepy." He replied.

"Don't you think it is a good idea if you we visit the school clinic at once?" Levi worried not worrying about their already acquired space.

"I don't think that would be necessary." Rafael replied not that he was not worried but he guessed it had something to do with his 'dream self and if it's so he doubts that even a celestial doctor has a solution to offer."

In addition to battling with the urge to sleep, he continued to sneeze even when he gave in to the pressure to sleep his sneezing did not cease immediately.

But gradually it's rate began to reduce this brought relief to Jerry who on his laps, he slept and Levi who sat next to him.

Their feeling of calmness though did not last long as few minutes later someone walked up before them and stood intimidatingly before them.

"Lasties, I think it is time you stand up and check out other positions. The gentlemen over there wishes to occupy this position.

Jerry trailed the messenger's finger with his eyes and in a split second his heart skipped a beat when he caught a glimpse at the figures at the end of the trail. The sight literally sent shivers down his spine.

He immediately tapped Levi who was rather absent minded and encouraged him to help him support the unresponsive Rafael as they changed their position.

"Why should we change our position?" Levi asked like he just woke up from a trance.

"Take off your spec and take a look?" Jerry screamed in panic as he felt they have delayed so much. Levi like a robot commanded by its master, did exactly what he was told but instead of yelling in panic he kept cool and turned his gaze to the messenger.

"Rank two hundred and thirty eight." He called him. He discovered his rank by looking at his badge. "Since you brought this message to us, you can as well take mine back to rank hundred and his group. Tell them I have an offer to make in return to our position and will need them to come closer."

The messenger's breath quickened when he heard this reply. "Has the world gone mad?" He wondered. He was sent to this bunch of weaklings who he can single handedly beat into pulp yet one of them sent him back. He felt like sending a fist back into Levi's face but hesitated. He was sent by a higher rank. Who knows if his offer is juicy enough to earn rank hundred's acknowledgement. If that becomes the case, beating him might incur his sender's wrath and if reverse becomes the case it will be more interesting watching rank hundred pummeling them.

Gritting his teeth he conveyed the message to rank hundred who giggled and after a moment of thought, began to walk towards them.

Jerry on the other hand felt like burrowing a hole and burying himself and Rafael. He felt that rank hundred was already gracious enough by sending someone to inform them when by the flick of his wrist he could command people to throw them off their seat. He fell into frenzy. If not that he had earlier emptied his bladder earlier, seeing rank hundred and his minions steadily walking towards him clenching his fist might have made him unleash his hot urine on himself.

"I heard you have an offer to make. Pray that your offer is good enough to appease me else you will all pay dearly for having me come over personally. Rank hundred snarled.

The panicky Jerry was at verge of crying now. If Rafael was awake he would have been more confident because he once ranked high and may have some strings to pull to turn the situation in their favour.

"On the contrary, I wish to appeal to you. We have been here for several hours and besides our friend is sick and needs to rest a lot. Moving him might disturb and worsen his condition." Levi spoke in confidence.

On hearing what he called an offer, Jerry's brain almost burst out of his socket. "Did Levi's little inventions make him forget the order which the world works or have the period he spent with his computers wiped off his sense of fear?"

"Is that what you call an offer?" Rank hundred growled.

"Yes. As we all can see all the vacant positions are disadvantageous to us all. He replied with a warm smile which complimented his specs.

Rank hundred's breath obviously quickened in anger but he held himself from striking them.

"Should we teach them a lesson?" His angered minions questioned him but he discouraged them.

"I have heard enough! I give you ten seconds to vamoose he said and angrily pulled off Levi's glasses your delay have already cost you this. He said and put the glasses on.

He opened his mouth to count but instead of a number, a delightful howl escaped his lips as he scanned through the platform. He felt like a star as he saw himself in the middle of a standard stadium being winked and waved at by countless beauties of his school who were putting on revealing clothes.

Not being able to share his discovery alone, he gave the spec to the nearest person to him who gave out similar reactions. Soon enough even the weakest boys and girls have taken a glance at the spec and given off similar reactions. Most eyes were now on Levi the inventor of such unholy glasses.

Jerry who was unaware of the capabilities of the glasses turned to appreciate Levi who alleviated their condition by turning everyone mad with his invention only to see him boiling in fury and shivering in fury as he cast a scary gaze on rank hundred.

"I challenge you to a duel in this platform." Levi's voice rang out. His voice was clear as crystal He was unmistakably staring at the student who ranked hundred.
