Chapter 1
Kai had never seen a building so big that it made the sky feel small.
He stood at the iron-wrought gates of Vespera High Academy, one hand still clutching the invitation letter that brought him far here. Gold-rimmed, signed by a scary handwriting that signals danger, and stamped with a wax seal that smelled faintly of smoke and pine. It had come three weeks ago, carried by a crow that refused to leave until he opened it.
Now here he was in front of a school that didn’t even look like a school. It looked like a warlock’s castle had been hijacked by a tech billionaire. Giant crystalline towers pierced the clouds. Floating sigils rotated above buildings. In the distance, he swore he saw a student fly past on.......… a vacuum cleaner?
Kai tightened his grip on his bag, the only one he owned. He didn’t have much , just a cracked phone, two hoodies, and a notebook with “How to Talk to Cool People” written on the first page. Spoiler: it was empty.
But even with all that doubt rattling in his chest, he couldn’t help but feel something stirring. Hope, maybe. Or fear. Or both mashed together in his ribs like a grenade with no pin.
As he stepped through the gates, the sun shifted behind him , and gasps echoed from the courtyard.
A massive, hulking wolf-shaped shadow stretched from his feet across the marble floor.
“It wasn’t his., It couldn’t be”, they gasp.
Every student within fifty feet stopped.
Some backed away. Some stepped forward with awe in their eyes, clutching books and phones and snacks midair like they’d just seen royalty. Whispers began.
“That’s him…”
“The shadow walker.”
“Is he the Alpha reborn?”
Kai blinked. There’s nothing serious about this anymore, this has been his curse since childhood, a primal shadow form that always reflect in his silhouettes.
A crowd formed like magic, all eyes hungry. A girl with moon-white eyes clutched his arm. “Are you the heir of the Blackmoon Pack?”
Another boy leaned in, recording him. “Yo, shift right now, man! Show us the fangs!”
“I.....I don’t even.......” Kai stammered.
The students' reactions didn't scare him; it rather surprises him. The letter has promised that the school is meant for students like him. His he the only student with this cursed werewolf shadow?
Shifting? Hell no! The only thing wolfy about him was that he liked meat slightly more than socially acceptable. But they weren’t listening. The crowd only grew, and so did the pressure on his chest.
Just then, heavy boot cracked against the stone behind him. Kai turned and the crowd thinned in seconds.
A gang of five stepped through, each one wearing matching dark vests with a silver claw emblem pinned to the chest. Their eyes were yellow and mean. Their leader was broad, with a scar cutting through his eyebrow and a bored expression like he’d rather be chewing someone’s bones.
“Move,” the leader growled. The girl holding Kai’s arm vanished so fast, he thought she teleported.
The underground wolves.
They were the unofficial rulers of the Werewolf Division, and they didn’t like newcomers stepping on ancient turf except he/she licks their shoes or proof himself.
“A big dog shadow you got there mate, I wonder if your dog shadow bites and barks also” a rough voice growl amidst the five.
“How do you feel like walking here like some shadow god?” the leader said, circling Kai like a vulture, “but you smell like fear and street food.”
“I didn’t ask for the shadow,” Kai said quickly. “Seriously, I just........”
Before the sentence finished, the punch landed.
It wasn’t just a hit. It was a declaration. Kai hit the ground like a sack of bricks, the stone bruising his ribs instantly. The crowd gasped, and someone let out a small, “Damn.”
He tried to get up but a second kick sent him sliding across the floor like a wet sock.
“Nothing but hype,” the wolf leader sneered. “He can’t even shift.”
Laughter. Phones out. His humiliation became entertainment in seconds.
Kai didn’t remember running. His legs just did it. The sound of mockery rang in his ears like sirens.
He didn’t stop until he hit a hallway darker than the others, his breathing ragged, face burning.
And there, standing with arms crossed and a look like she’d just eaten glass, was a tall woman with sharp eyes and silver hair tied into a bun.
“Congratulations,” she said. “First day, and you’ve already made the leaderboard….... for fastest humiliation.”
Kai blinked, blood dripping from his nose. “Who… who are you?”
She turned without answering. “Follow me.”
She took him deep into the Werewolf Quarters, a wildwood sanctuary inside the academy’s lower levels. The scent of moss and old trees filled the air. The halls were carved with ancient runes, and wolf statues lined the path like guardians.
She sat him down, patched his lip, and handed him a glass of water.
“My name is Dean Arvenn. I lead this division. And you…” she paused, “…are either cursed, stupid, or extremely unlucky.”
“I vote for all three,” Kai muttered.
She didn’t smile but she didn’t disagree either.
“You’ve got a shadow that doesn’t belong to you. That gets attention. Some will fear it. Most will test you for it. And until you prove you’re worth the legend, you’ll be a chew toy.”
Before Kai could answer, a loud thud echoed outside.
They found him again.
The underground wolves.
This time they didn’t come to challenge, they came to warn.
“You don’t belong here,” the leader hissed, fangs bared. “You either leave the Quarters, or next time… we break something important.”
Dean Arvenn stood silently, arms folded. “I can’t stop them from being savages,” she said. “But I can stop you from dying. You’ll move to the Rainbow Quarters. For now.”
Kai was stunned. “The… Rainbows?”
“Yes, the home of the powerless and varieties, it’s either that,” she said, “or sleep with one eye open.”
And that’s how he ended up in the lowest-ranked dorm in the entire school on his first day in Vespera High Academy.
The lights buzzed overhead. The walls were cracked. Someone had drawn a dick on the vending machine with permanent marker. Kai was led by Arvenn to the rainbow quarters and was immediately paired with a new loser like himself to share a room with.
Kai collapsed onto the nearest bench besides the doorway, the thoughts of always being a loser clouding his mind.
Then someone slid into the seat beside him. A boy with shaggy hair and a wand so small it looked like it came from a birthday cake.
“You look like hell,” the boy said cheerfully. “I’m Jace. Welcome to the bottom....... Where I’m still ranking at the bottom. Ooooh well, introduction for another day. What matters here is that we are both losers, and losers are better sticking together.”
Kai stared.
Jace grinned.
“What do you say to some egg buns and a glass of cold sewage water? I mean, there is nothing good here but shits and me.....” Jace teased as he dragged him inside.

My Almighty Werewolf System Chapter 12
“Tell me again why it’s faster this year,” muttered Dorlin, the Arcane principal, nursing a chipped wine glass like it was an old wound. “I swear I just heard it outrun a Stone Born.” Chestnuts cracked lazily between Dean Arven’s fingers as she sat back in her chair, legs crossed, expression unreadable. The table before her held a half-open bottle of champagne, a mostly ignored plate of fruit slices, and a silver bowl of roasted seeds—most of which were already gone. Around the table, the other principals sat with varying degrees of discomfort. Not because of the refreshments, no. It was the elephant in the room—or more accurately, the Golem on the map. “Because,” Arven said, popping a chestnut into her mouth, “I increased its speed.” “You what?” Elmira, head of the Iron Fang’s faction, choked on her fruit and reached for water. “You cranked up the speed and the rage index? Are you trying to bury these kids alive?” “Seventy percent of the students who went through your portal ar

My Almighty Werewolf System Chapter 11
Selene moved through the thickening trees with the fluid, soundless grace of a panther. Every step was calculated. Her cloak fluttered behind her, blending with the shadows. Though her body was calm, her thoughts stormed. Each breath sharpened the edge of her fury. Then, ahead—she saw them. Four figures stood loosely around a broken stone lantern pedestal, speaking in low, cocky voices. They didn’t hide themselves. They didn’t need to. Vampires of their class rarely did. Selene stepped into the clearing, her voice cutting the air like a blade. “I should’ve known it was you.” The figures froze. The tallest turned first—sleek white hair, lazy golden eyes, and a smirk that could cut through steel. He wore the Academy uniform with arrogant flair, sleeves rolled up like this was just another casual school day. “Selene.” His smirk widened. “Knew you’d show up. Always too proud to let your prey run off.” “Cassian.” Her voice was steel wrapped in velvet. “Didn’t think you’d crawl into

My Almighty Werewolf System Chapter 10
The forest had gone quiet again—but it wasn’t peace. It was the heavy silence that settles after something sharp has passed through, leaving the trees holding their breath. Just a thick, uneasy silence pressing down on the group as they crept forward. Kai took a cautious step toward the bushes where the sound had last come from, his hand brushing the hilt of his weapon. Thalia flanked his left, blade drawn, eyes sharp. Jace stayed back just enough to provide cover, murmuring a soft enchantment under his breath, pretending to know what he’s doing. Selene walked ahead of them all—silent and alert like a predator chasing a scent. “Over here,” Selene murmured. They stepped into a clearing that didn’t feel like a clearing—it felt like a wound. The ground was torn in places, grass flattened and stained red. A few broken tents sagged at the edges. And in the middle, eight students were sprawled across the dirt, some unconscious, some moaning in pain. Kai’s breath caught in his throat. “

My Almighty Werewolf System Chapter 9
Leaves rustled overhead as Kai’s team and the rival group stood in a loose standoff. Tension crackled in the air like dry lightning. The realization that the lantern they’d found was just a fragment had shifted something in both teams, something competitive and territorial. Thalia stretched her arms overhead, a devilish grin curling on her lips. “Don’t blink. I’ll be done before you finish your next breath.” Kai arched a brow, skeptical but amused. “You’re really going to solo all four of them?” Jace gave a mock gasp. “Please don’t kill them, Your Majesty.” The opposing team, four students, Team Veritas — stood several paces away, spread out on the grass with the confidence of challengers who believed they had the upper hand. Their robes bore faint sigils of defense and enhancement. Still, Thalia cracked her neck and stepped forward, drawing her twin daggers in a smooth, practiced motion. With a shout, Thalia surged forward, her boots slicing through the grass. The first opponent

My Almighty Werewolf System Chapter 8
He blinked. For a world they’d entered through a towering black portal that shimmered like frozen moonlight, this place was alarmingly… normalThe first thing Kai noticed was the scent of pine, not sulfur or brimstone. Just… pine. And the soft hum of crickets in the underbrush. No floating rocks. No blood skies. No monstrous beasts charging from the horizon as expected by the students.Instead, he found himself standing beneath a tall, spreading canopy of green. Sunlight filtered through the branches, painting the ground with golden dappled patterns. A soft breeze teased at his cloak, carrying the sweet, clean smell of moss and distant water. Even the grass underfoot looked lush and soft, almost like it had been trimmed for a royal picnic.“This is… not what I was expecting,” Jace said, his hand on the hilt of his wooden toy sword, with his shoulders relaxed.Thalia turned in a slow circle, taking in the serene glade around them. “Feels more like a vacation than a death trap.”Selene

My Almighty Werewolf System Chapter 7
Kai stood in the middle of a barren field, the sky above him split and bleeding red as though the heavens themselves had been torn open. Black feathers rained down from the sky like ash. The wind howled like a dying creature, carrying with it voices that spoke in tongues he couldn’t recognize......but somehow still understood."You're too late…""You were warned…""You should have died in the womb…"He turned in place, his breath clouding as if winter had seeped into his bones. Shapes flickered just beyond the edge of sight, tall, gaunt silhouettes with hollow eyes and skeletal wings. A ring of them circled him. Their presence pulsed against his skin, heavy as guilt.Suddenly, the ground beneath him cracked open like fractured glass. From the depths below, a hand clawed its way out, bloodless, and unmistakably human.Kai stared, frozen, as his own hand dragged itself from the abyss, followed by a second, then a broken mirror of his face rising from the pit, mouth split too wide in a g
