Levi's short speech dragged the attention of everyone nearby then followed by whispers of passing the information to those who did not hear it clearly. Soon the whole dueling arena became as silent as a graveyard.

"Dare to accept my challenge." Levi encouraged to the shock and surprise of everyone.

At this point Jerry knew that there was hardly a remedy for their situation. He yelled out appealing sums of money which he was certain that he could hardly procure to catch rank hundred's ear and avert the situation but to worsen the situation his voice was soon swallowed by the encouragements, taunts and cheers of those who eagerly wanted to watch the fight.

"What Rafael said was rank two hundred not one hundred, buddy." Jerry felt like bursting into tears

"I happily accept the challenge and wish that it begins now." Rank hundred replied and proudly hit his badge and it began to shine brightly. His rank immediately disappeared.

The noise in the arena doubled as everyone roared in excitement. It has been a while since anyone was challenged to a duel on the platform.

Levi gently tapped on his badge once and it began to shine his ranking also disappeared." This only meant one thing, the duel has been approved.

As expected a loud alarm rang out and an announcement followed.

"All students are advised to stay clear of the dueling platform and mount the spectator's area as the duel between ranks one hundred and three hundred and eleven has been approved.

It is demanded that the closest teacher, Master sub three Gregor who is closest to the dueling platform at this moment and the highest ranking student in year two should stand in as the judges. As was the culture, he repeated his announcement before calling his rank and name intern sub five reporting from the principal's office.

Gregor who was just arriving at the platform for his lectures could not complain; he just mounted the judgement seat as it was called. Soon enough from the midst of the crowd, a boy who had nothing to exceptional about him asides from the fact that he carried a unique aura and seemed to be respected by even the natural phenomenons present in the dueling platform joined him. The duel is set and there is nothing that can be done about it apart from acceptance of defeat by any of the two contenders.

On normal occasions, Tilas who ranked lower than Gregor was unworthy to pass an order to him but the duel was believed to have a direct impact on the student's strength and the students strength was crucial to the earth's salvation. This an order such as this was believed to be accompanied by the wills of the whole humans and the power of the celestials. Even a direct student of the celestials have no right to object.

In few seconds time the students who earlier were loitering about, scrammed to the nearest seat at their disposal. This included Jerry who was panting heavily under Rafael's weight.

The platform then became a desolate area only inhabitable by Levi and rank hundred who stood peering deeply into the eyes of each other.

"Do you think rank three hundred and eleven stands a chance?"

"I don't know but for him to pull this show up he must at least have tricks up his sleeve let's wait for the show to begin."

Despising Rafael's lessons, Levi who was mad with rage went ahead to launch the first attack. Because of the impact of his punch, The space between him and rank hundred seemed to get distorted before his hands got near enough to his face but before it could connect, rank hundred shifted slightly to the side and his atrack missed his target by few inches.

The strength behind the punch, made the face of several people especially those who have bullied and taunted him pale in fear as they realized that they were incapable of pulling such a stunts

"I guessed as much. Your little absorption of soul energy got you high and you thought you could dare me. Now I want you to realize you are no match for me." Rank hundred taunted and flung his sleeves arrogantly at that instance he began to exude an aura many people found oppressive.

"Super-human realm one primary stage!" Everyone's eyes widened in awe. He had made the first breakthrough. If I were rank three hundred and eleven I will just admit defeat and challenge someone slightly lower than him later on." Someone said.

That idea came to Levi as he two felt oppressed by rank hundred aura but he shook it off. He had been disgraced by no one except rank hundred and he should settle his scores directly with him. Luckily for him the anger in him made him unable to feel fear at the moment making him fully confident in himself. This was an edge which Rafael impacted to him.

The offensive tables turned and rank hundred began to ferociously attack and soon cold sweat began to trickle down his fore head as bone of his wild attacks successfully connected. At this moment, he understood that his display of strength earlier was meaningless.

His breakthrough however became an advantage to him because unlike a normal human his did not start feeling tired; He only felt frustrated.

Levi Noticed that in his opponent's frustration his attacks became crude and devoid of moves. Now he only attacked with his upper body. He timed accurately and between an interval of his opponent's mightful blows he closed in and launched an attack with his full strength on his lower abdomen with his fist.

This move of his stunned rank hundred and made him make a failed attack. But from the looks on their faces it was hard to tell who felt more pain. It was obvious that Levi will not dare to launch such attacks again as his fist now felt numb. The situation was indeed hopeless for him but unexpectedly, even at this point he refused to give up and once again rank hundred began attacking

Unfortunately for Levi the wide difference between a normal human of his age who possessed an extra ordinary strength and a super-human realm primary stage cultivator began to get more visible as his defense began to slacken; he was now getting tired yet his attacks had little or no effect on his opponent. His perseverance and fighting skill which was way better than that of his opponent now had little part to play in the game. At a fast rate, his energy began to wane till he could barely lift himself up but he still refused to give up. And he earned negatively from it.

He raised his hands to launch an attack but before it could connect his opponent's powerful fist which he didn't see coming suddenly neared on him. At that point, it was impossible to dodge the attack or to reduce its effect with a punch of his own so he braced himself up for the attack and when it connected, it sent him flying and spurting blood for several metres in the wide platform and even when he crashed down, he kept skidding for few centimeters before he finally stopped.

Unlike Levi, the spectators however were aware of what happened. Rank hundred took advantage of Levi's tiredness and practiced one of the strongest moves they had been taught on him and sent him flying.

"It is over now." Everyone including Jerry who was shedding tears for his dear friend knew. He was somewhat relieved that he would no longer suffer under his opponent's attack. However, something kept the judge who kept calm even on that situation from pronouncing rank hundred the winner. Everyone knew the formidable Gregor and the unbeatable rank one were just being heartless by not pronouncing rank hundred the winner but no one dared to speak against them. They could only celebrate with the winner.

Rank hundred who after hitting him turned to embrace the cheers from the crowd noticed it die down. He couldn't believe his eyes when he turned.

Levi whom everyone thought would not stand up unless treated in the school clinic for weeks beat everyone's expectations. To everyone's surprise he really did stand up! The judges really saw something and refused to speak even when he was whining in pain.

Although he shocked everyone by standing up, they believed he was up only to be bullied one more time. He did not beat their expectations this time; rank hundred who was eager to return to his state of glory rushed at the weak boy and finished him up quickly.

He dropped down to the ground with a thud but the judges still refused to pronounce rank hundred the winner.

"Is he a zombie or something?" Everyone thought aloud because once again he stood up. The frustrated rank hundred ran towards him to get him down again but there was clearly a reason why this time Levi did not bother to get bothered. There was no worry on his face.

Rank hundred's eyes widened in shock but there was no way he could retreated at this point. It clearly meant his doom.

Principal Rojo spent some moments inspecting the fallen Jerry. He wasn't sure he had seen very correctly. "What powers was this which I just saw?" He found it difficult to believe and digest the fact that the boy he just knocked out tried to use the power of lightning against him. That he definitely had never seen. "Lock him up in a different cell. Make sure they lack nothing and keep them guarded always. He ordered no one but soon another group of staff came running to do his bidding. He continued towards the door and tugged at it to open it. But was unable to do so. When he tried harder he noticed that unless he destroyed the door he would be unable to pass through it. He didn't need to think so much before he realized that however it was done, it was obvious that the door was locked by one of the students to prevent his passage. Levi wouldn't let him cross after he had knocked Jerry out. "You would certainly grow to be bigger if you continue this way I really encourage this." He

With more zeal than anytime ever before, the students from principal Luke's academy assembled when they were invited to the dormitory hall. It was now no news to them that their hero was yet to return from the principal's home and needed an explanation for that. Many especially those who now thought him close friends of theirs were already preparing to go demand an explanation from the principal when he came to them. They eagerly went to meet him to hear what he had to say and when he got satisfied with their numbers he began to speak. "As punishment for their several categories of crimes, those who worked with the inverses are punished by being infected with the beast's virus. Most of these people become crazed beasts of theirs which they easily deploy to deadly battles but on special advantages to them, very few of them become first-class infectos. These people are very useful to them and could be easily mistaken to be normal human beings when in truth they can be best described as

Rafael was mad at how the little boy made him bleed from his mouth and especially made him get hungrier than he already was but he could only bite his lips bearing the pain. Of course, he would not want to create a bad impression of himself by fighting them all even if he was strong enough to. Even that he doubted he was able to do. On the other hand, the boy who looked like the least infected of the infecto trio felt like he was being underrated for being small instead of being respected in the place where he ruled. He did not take Rafael's ignorance as honesty. The only way to establish his position before him was to make him see what death looked like and plead for his life. This he thought and that he did. "Make a feast out of him." He commanded the other boy who seemed to have been eagerly waiting for this moment. In a jiffy, he untied him from the pole in his cell and without unbinding him grinned widely and roared as he lifted him off the ground with ease. His roar was rep

Unquestionably, Jess genuinely missed their days of training and collaborative duels when they both came out at the top of their squad by working together. The collaboration between the strong and the cunning fox obviously looked nothing short of amazing and the impact of their attacks was nothing a little less than deadly. It always thrilled everyone that their collaborative techniques looked harmlessly beautiful but at the same time was very fatal; a thing no one dared to mess with but at the moment things had gotten more serious that they barely had time to even sharpen their collaborative battle techniques much less go on a mission together. She had always dreamt of the day they would fight by each other's side once more but never had she thought that the enemy would be so huge at this moment the thought of who their enemy was made her dread his insinuation. All along she had not seen that request coming else she would have found means of preventing him from bringing it up but

"I don't think dumping him inside the infecto camp in that manner is the best idea." A pretty middle aged lady replied respectfully with a slight frown on her face. "But he is an infectos and that's just where infectos are meant to be kept." Principal Rojo insisted calmly and instead of being disturbed by the woman's suggestions he slowly rested his back against his sofa. And turned his attention to scan through the pictures in his living room like he was just seeing it for the first time. "The other students who don't know what he really is would surely come to demand for their friend. It would have been for the best if instead of disposing him secretly, you publicly made an example of him after which you do away with him. What will you do when the students insist on seeing him?" "I am no criminal. What I did was just the supposed thing to do and so I would go to them and tell them what I have to tell them not waiting for them to come to demand from me. I am in charge here Jess an
