Chapter Seven

Getting Invited To A Birthday Party

       James stared expressionlessly at this person coming towards him.

She looks so unfamiliar to him at this moment, that he could almost swear he does not know her before.

It might be because James has finally seen through her façade yesterday, at this moment, he just felt that Sarah is a complete stranger to him.

"I heard you went crazy yesterday because I broke up with you."

Sarah had been feeling so uncomfortable since she saw the headlines yesterday.

She felt that everybody began pointing at her everywhere she goes, she couldn't take it in anymore so she decided to come earlier this morning to class so that she could clear off the misunderstanding.

She wants everybody to know clearly that she has nothing to do with James anymore.

James only continued staring expressionlessly at her, feeling lazy to answer her.

He suddenly realized that he might not have loved this girl in the past.

If he had truly and certainly loved her the way he thought he did, shouldn't he be feeling sad and heartbroken with what happened between them yesterday?

Shouldn't he have felt so down and dead inside?

The thing is, he felt none of those.

In fact, he even feels more relieved today than in the past.

His mood has become amazingly great.

"Are you too dumb to say a word?"

She questioned arrogantly.

James only continued to stare at this girl.

He began to feel disgusted by her minute by minute.

'How could I have been so dumb and stupid in the past to actually think I fell in love with this person!!!'

He ridiculed himself in his mind.

At this moment, the attention of everybody in the class has already been focused fully on James and Sarah.

Excitement was written all over their faces as they listened attentively to what Sarah and James were discussing.

Some of the students had even secretly taken out their phones to film what is going on.

At the forefront of the class, Ruby has long turned her gaze towards Sarah.

According to the headlines she later saw yesterday, and how Sarah is acting now, it was confirmed that Sarah was thee one who broke up with James.

The gaze on Ruby's face while staring at Sarah at this moment is filled with undisguised anger and disgust.

She could still remember clearly how James had behaved in the video she saw yesterday, he must have been deeply heartbroken.

"I want to get this clearly into your ears now, I'm done with you, do not ever in your filthy and miserable live talk to me again in the future."

Sarah spat angrily at James before storming out of the classroom, the way she did while coming in.

Different people began to gasp in amazement when they saw how Sarah acted.

They never knew she has this much action in her since they became classmates.

Some men even began to daydream at this moment, satisfying different fantasies and fetishes in their minds.

It was at that moment the teacher came in, making everybody instantly regain their composure.

James' mind was preoccupied throughout the class, as he thought of how busy his schedules were for today.

Thankfully, he only has one class today, so he would be able to begin his busy schedule.

After class, everybody began to rush out, as if they have something very important to do.

Meanwhile, the important thing they were rushing out to do is nothing but to tell their friends who were not in class today what they saw and heard this morning.

Just as James was preparing to also leave the class, someone came to him.

"I want you to run an errand for me."

James raised his head to stare at the person looking at him arrogantly.

It was a young man of the same age as him.

The person is one of his classmates, someone he does not remember his name.

Not caring about the arrogant smile on the boy's face.

Sorry, but I'm no longer running an errand again."

"What?!"

The arrogant boy who was just about to give James the money for the errand he would be running for him instantly stopped, shock written all over his face.

"You are not running an errand anymore?"

As if he thought he heard wrongly, the boy asked again, staring unblinkingly at James.

James only gave a small smile to this and nodded his head.

He stood up and walked out, leaving the arrogant boy left standing.

"What just happened? James is no longer running errands?!"

The person's face became huge when he finally got what he just heard fully into his brain.

"Guys….."

Just as the boy was about to share the news with his classmates that were still in the class, he realized that most of them has began to talk about it amongst themselves.

"Classmate James, Classmate James…"

James who just walked out of the classroom stopped on his track when he heard his name being called repeatedly.

He swiveled to the side, only to find who was calling him, he suddenly became stunned, question marks beginning to appear above his head.

He couldn't understand why the beautiful class monitor would be looking for him.

Although she was always nice to everybody, she would always avoid any communication with her classmates once outside the classroom, especially the classmates she is not familiar with.

James could see that Ruby was already out of breath, which could only be a testament to how she ran.

"Sorry for stopping you."

She bowed slightly towards James and waited for his affirmation before she began.

"Tomorrow is my birthday, do you think you can come?"

The confusion in James' eyes instantly increased when he heard this question.

'What is going on?'

'Since when have I become close to her to this extent?!'

"No… No, I've already invited all our classmates… you may decide not to come if you wish."

Her voice sounded nervous which confused James further.

Since he knew the class monitor, she always acted confident and carry herself elegantly.

He thought for a while and finally decided to attend.

He does not need to work himself to death anymore, and could begin enjoying his life, so why couldn't he just attend the birthday party?

To be honest, he is also interested in this beautiful class monitor, but his level is just too low compared to hers

"Okay, where is the location."

"You know it's fine if you can't make it…. Wait, what? Are you asking for the location of the birthday party?"

Completely and utterly confused, James could only nod his head unconsciously.

"Okay, that's great…. The birthday party would be taking place in Mcdonalds' tomorrow…."

"I would be there."

James promised and walked away, still feeling confused about what just occurred.

"You know what, I still could not understand what you saw in that malnourished boy that made you fall in love with him."

While staring at James back, lost in thought, Ruby suddenly heard a doubtful voice behind her.

She instantly blushed a bit and retorted; "When have I ever told you I fell in love with him before?"

She sounded so uncertain, even to her ears.

Looking at her best friend helplessly, Mia could only shake her head helplessly.

Only God knows how many boys would set out to murder James if they were to know that their goddess has been secretly in love with him for years.

She decided to stop talking about that as she knew her best friend would only become more embarrassed.

"Hope you haven't forgotten that you've not invited anybody else to this sudden party yet, but that boy," she reminded her friend.

"Ops!!! That's true," Ruby instantly ran off once she heard what her best friend just said.

She has truly forgotten that she has not invited the rest of her classmates yet.

Only God knows how embarrassed she would have become had she not been reminded now, but late.

'What a coincidence,' James who does not know that his class monitor has been secretly in love with him since years ago is currently strolling towards the school's exit.

He was busy thinking of how his classmates would come to celebrate the class monitor's birthday tomorrow in a company he owns part of.

'Should I let them know that I'm one of the stakeholders of the restaurant tomorrow?"

James began to smile crazily to himself as he imagined the shocked look that would appear on his classmates' faces if he told them the truth.

(Vroom....)

Just as James was still busy imagining things happily, a roar suddenly woke him up from his thought, scaring the hell out of him.

He hurriedly jumped to the side, then a sports car rushed past the place he had been some seconds ago.

Had he been any slower, he would have been cleared out of the way by the sports car, and who knows what situation he would have been in at this moment.

Thinking here, James' heart suddenly skipped a bit, then it began to pound in his body heavily as he thought of this.

He couldn't help but raise his head to stare angrily at the sports car which has suddenly stopped.

The car began to reverse towards James, making him stand on his track.

He couldn't understand why someone would have been this careless to drive so roughly during school hours.

"Are you blind? How dare you stand on the road with your pathetic body?"

An arrogant roar came from within the car, then the driver's door was pushed open.

A tall and handsome man alighted the sports car while glaring at James.

"Do you know how damaged my car would have gotten had you collided with it?!"

James become instantly horrified when he heard what the driver said, he thought he had heard wrongly.

'How could there be someone this inhuman like this?'

"You bastard, are you blind?!"
