Chapter 1 - Unchanging
The eerie perception over my very flesh, prompted motion of the scorching flames dyed of a myriad of shades that wrapped about my form as armor, and the semblance of a view of the Earth appeared beneath my very feet as I trailed off.
Crimson light sat upon my eyes, smoldering with a fixed glare that pierced through the blackened void stretching infinitely, and the lambency of innumerable jewels adorned my gaze.By a piercing sensation derived from my chest gesturing for immediate attention, my back was enshrouded of the army of beings veiled by raging flames, incalculable and innumerable in their elite forces. And as I gazed upon the openness of my palms, those unseen memories trickled off…***Recalling a maidenly voice, Inoyva found a small backpack, small as his self be riddled with various items. Preferably light snacks. With the body of a 10-year-old, he witnessed the bus’ doors open when detecting a corresponding command from the driver.“Have a lovely day!”As the world would seem to thread the line of going backwards, he was reminded of the cherry feeling at his mother’s voice, wishing him a “lovely” day. Though the young lad could found no will in his body to answer, there was a certain glimmer at his expression brightening.‘Again, I have to start another day in this…’Inoyva ventured forth his gaze towards peers alike. In part, the loud and boisterous surges of vibrant sounds released out their mouths were by far loud and obnoxious. Whilst trailing off, he caught a empty seat at the corner of the eye.Relatively closer at the center of the bus, but when outstretching an arm to clench a grip, another surge of sound caught his ear, “Sorry, but that’s taken.”“What?”Inoyva made an expression displaying his utmost shock.‘There is literally no one to take this seat and you expect me to believe that?’A calm observation was made.No matter how much his eyes turned around the interior of the bus, he could not find that one reason to justify that sort of claim and it was not as if the person having taken the seat was to later picked up.“What? Is there a problem?”“Children are the epitome of evil,” is what most people perhaps found the least believable. However from within the face of the peer having halted his advancement, a smirk lied.He expelled a question and at that very second, eyes of their fellow classmates turned sharply towards them.“Isn’t that…”Suddenly, various forms of murmurs erupted from within the walls of the bus. Those voices and words came with the contemplation of lengthy memories having been previously buried deep within the mind.“…”While playing as children you might have it, a sort of incident occurred.“Slow down for a bit.”Taking splendor at an activity of leaping all around with the ball, the younger Inoyva flailed in further pursuit. However when directing the ball back towards a young maiden, he concentrated too much power, therefore, knocking her back with an addition of a small stone right beneath her foot acting as the last piece of the puzzle.“Kyaaaah!”Despite that not being in his intention, it caused a ruckus.“You okay?!”“I think she’s fine.”“Is that blood?”“I saw him throw the ball at her face.”As he might have had it, Inoyva was somewhat already complacent in voicing his thoughts. Even though from the shocked expression he exhibited and the surprising vibes he exuded, only sharp gazes and even sharper claims were thrown at his direction as several forms of insult.“He hit her.”“That jerk!”I became too slow in saying that it was an accident. Well on the other hand, toddlers seem to judge a situation fairly one-sidedly than what a logical adult would have it. However…In the near distance, that one peer stood right below their teacher, vividly pointing his finger towards Inoyva...“…”Towards the confines of the metallic transportation box, he could tell that this was the same situation waiting to unfold once again.‘This type of mood in the atmosphere and their prying eyes… It’s no use trying to play it off as a casual joke. Just avoid it.’Taking advantage of the opportunity the rebelliously glaring peer had provided, Inoyva would not be privy to such taunts. And his body, and spirit turned at the sole seat he could find without the presences of any ill-mannered children.Well, it was not as if he could find a sole seat there. Critically acclaimed, another one of the wallflowers that munched on the hotdog, Inoyva made a brief scan of that person’s outward appearance and sat down, keeping to his self until end of the departure.Inoyva sat down, removing the straps of the backpack from his shoulders.“I see that you still are a pig.”Inoyva made a first call. When gravitating across from people that just had met, an insightful brawl would occur.“I see that you are still cold as the gaze of yours.”Reacting in kind, the so-called pig exchanged the results of his brief scan. The so-called pig held a morsel of junk tailor-made for obesity and a tablet at the other. Various contents of the video having been playing were as gruesome that children should not have the chance to watch.“What is that?”“Yeah, I got it off from my brother’s laptop. He said it was an “enlightening moment.””Inoyva placed heavy emphasis on that screen, as what caught his eye would be what piqued his interest. As the video played though, his face turned blue.“…Ahhh…”There were several moans coming off. Those moans spilling out of men who spent their days in infirmaries with severed hands and legs, to those having their sight impaired when one of the eyes had been injured, and to those who lost themselves to the wicked sensation of madness.“It kind of looks weird as hell at first, but after some time, you eventually became used to it, is what I would like to say. I wanted to especially show it to you.”Pig made a verbal claim with a faint display of a smirk, cloaking concern. What kind of lunatic would let his 10-year old brother watch a video of such content?“What exactly is that?”Inoyva shifted his gaze towards him.“I remembered that you wanted to be a Knight when growing up. I was just showing you what actually happens on that battlefield you are so drawn towards.”It was not certain. If spouted words from this so-called friend were carrying the intention of concern over the fact that Inoyva perhaps could venture the thread of those individuals on that screen, or simply if he found ecstasy and reveled in the face of the ghostly pale expression he faced, everything was not clear.“…As if I would be spooked off by just that!”Inoyva would not make a half-ass claim with having the intention of turning his words into reality. That still, the result of watching said video was as harrowing as the sharp gazes only a near distance from him.“If you say so...”A ridiculing remark was reflected back.“Anyway, why are you so hell-bent on getting eaten?”“Why…?”Strangely enough, Inoyva’s expression turned dumbfounded. A sudden u-turn from what murderous and rebellious gaze he exuded from before. Even still looking like he was lost in thought, imitating what looked appeared to be a lifeless corpse, something eerie surged. What is this weird feeling? As he looked upon the tiny intricate markings of his palm, he felt the slight surges of what he would call electricity. It was not like electricity in itself but the reaction was just as similar.Inoyva regained his footing only a brief second after that weird phenomenon, looking to the side of pig who waited for an answer, “The reason why I want to become a Knight is in order to fulfill a promise that I made. Well, in part made one-sidedly.”He felt the strings of his heart suddenly playing out with buried “things” located there. The mood fluttering had yet to brighten, however for the while, he could silence pig.“That promise could get you killed, you know?”Casting their gazes towards the side, the moving images of the scenery outside, the pleasant tone of peers exchanging forms of conversation, there was something further which piqued his interest. The first person to notice was Inoyva. Having focused on his hearing because of murmurs at bus, he felt as if the atmosphere all around them was suddenly altered.A pale, fear-stricken face called out, that even the so-called pug grew a level of concern.“What is it?”The bus flailed at the air. It was not necessarily jumping in surprise, but it felt as if the ground had just pushed them up, as if an earthquake had struck.Quite a loud reaction was given off as the bus lost some balance and ultimately stopped in its tracks. Even still, a headache-inducing task never required to be prompted to realize.“What was that?”“An earthquake?”Expand

Awakening of the Inferno Chapter 73 - The Strongest 7
The vanguard of the Legion of Shadow proceeded forward exactly as other smaller Legions would, with only a difference of the indefinite actions that were superior in terms of coordination and the individual combat capabilities of their Knights. Additionally, the swiftness of their actions caused an apparent decline of the Abyss’ numbers within moments after they trailed through. After all, one of the strong Legions would have obviously encountered and fought Abyss of a difficult rank exactly like this one or maybe a horde much more fierce. “…” To that area, at the outskirts, he gazed far and wide while gliding through the air. Accompanying him from behind being other Knights in the same squadron, unlike the rest, they showed particular interest in locating Abyss and identifying their characteristics but would not intercept them. Catching an appearance of what they were tasked with, a large Abyss reeled in the distance. Its size and height, that being tall enough for surrounding

Awakening of the Inferno Chapter 72 - The Strongest 6
Miraculously, countless Knights grasped the proceeding space and fervently emerged from thin air above the female Knight. Certainly those could be reinforcements from other Legions that could have finally reached the battlefield to offer some much needed support. They came after the climax already reached peak and now just helped in cleaning up the scraps left. Scraps of the defeated horde when compared to the initial force when the first 5 Legions entered the fray still posed a threat if they could run hurriedly and unchecked. And also, the citizens who lived there obviously wanted to return to their former homes and lives.Following that, the female Knight’s lips opened.“Clean it up.”Immediately, all gathering forces diverged into different directions as if they cut through the air like bullets. At least one thing in common that they did was head over to the Abyss soldiers. The Knight’s eyes peered into the distance.{Master of the Legion of Shadow, S-rank: Isui Setra.}***After

Awakening of the Inferno Chapter 71 - The Strongest 5
With the head, the leader of the horde of Abyss, the boss defeated the proceeding underlings it reigned over would scatter in every direction. Abyss gathered into a single formation known as a horde but due to their animalistic traits, they sometimes strayed from said formation to essentially do whatever they desired. And not necessarily to execute their role of being soldiers or guards since Abyss could care less about what occurred to their brethren. If they found prey to fill their stomachs, everything else was a bother.Except for the boss, the remaining monsters were ruled over. With an iron fist and understandable power in hand, the boss acted as a beckon, a sort of antenna that coordinate all movements in the horde and initiated for their formation to consist of the outer layer and mid layer for the purpose of fighting and pillaging enemies and prey, but still leave enough room for it to not be in the firing line. In that sense of train of thought, it was a strategist feigni

Awakening of the Inferno Chapter 70 - The Strongest 4
The boss was the strongest in a horde and noticing the sheer number of Abyss that crawled through the streets and everywhere else, they would be commanded. And a slightly capable boss could not maintain control of all those numbers. That glinted at a possibility at least that this one sole humaniod monster could potentially be a C-rank Abyss. As such, letting it go could be detrimental to the counterattack.A repeat of past events, the Knight would disappear like before as if she turned invisible. What was not clear from that point was that she would not let it escape. Up until then, the boss felt like a lesser individual that grasped at straws but now, a feeling of being trapped like a plaything before receiving a fatal strike became its reality. Suddenly, the boss felt a painful sensation as if its limb was being crushed. It was not an attack, but a hold over its left arm. The Knight once more appeared from thin air to the left side.Obviously, her power was unmatched. She used

Awakening of the Inferno Chapter 68 - The Strongest 2
The boss expected a difficult fight, but this was rather not interesting in the least. If the opponent already figured the gap in numbers between them, she might have turned tail in order to save her own life or even call for further assistance. A difference in the overall forces ended up being the deciding factor. The boss would smirk but then notice something aloof with the stationed soldiers on the ground. A passing gust of wind blew slightly. In its insignificance, a rising tension among the Abyss lowered, this would guarantee the victory. But then, one head out of the heads among the stationed soldiers seemed to fall off the body and land to the ground. The next soldier near also found its head proceeding to land on the ground like a ball and roll over. Blood immediately spilled out of the decapitated bodies and finally fell to the earth. Surprisingly, another group lost the command of their bodies and fell, partly due to the heads that landed to the ground first. As if
