"What are you doing at the edge of the city?" Nanay Mercy asked.

"I was looking for a part-time job,” Joy replied while pretending that the boxes were heavy.

"What a coincidence! My boss wants to hire an employee. Just wait here and I will call him!" Nanay Mercy hurried upstairs.

"So, are you the applicant that Nanay Mercy was talking about?"

Joy was sitting patiently at the living room when the owner of the house descended.

It was Cedric.

"Nanay Mercy, it never came to my mind that my classmate will become my boss. Thank you so much for the offer, but I need to go!” Joy was about to head for the door when Cedric spoke again.

"What if I give you a good offer, will you still refuse the job?"

"What?” Joy’s sisters shouted in unison.

"Your new boss is the transfer student?" Peach wondered.

"Cedric?” Sarah added. The triplets met at the city where Joy told them about her new job as a personal assistant and maid for Cedric. But their reactions varied.

Peach’s eyes twinkled in excitement. while Sarah looked worried and thought she already heard the name Cedric before, but she couldn’t remember where.

"He offered me money to pay for our rent and reopen the eatery,” Joy explained.

"But we already decided that we will go to Elementalia every weekend,” Sarah reminded her.

"I know. That's why I asked him if I can have 2 days off at weekends since I'm staying in. But he just told me that he will think about it."

Joy’s phone suddenly rang, and she answered.

"Ate Joy! Are Ate Sarah and Ate Peach with you? You all need to come here quickly,” Ian shouted over the phone. “There’s a monster attack! I will text you the location!"

"Okay, Ian! We’ll be there soon,” Joy replied.

"What magic item is that? Was it Joy's voice? Can I try it?” They heard Roe talking while Ian sounded pissed off.

"It's my phone! Go away!" Ian said before the call ended.

"Let’s go,” Joy said.

"What kind of creature is that? It’s so creepy,” Peach said in disgust.

They were at the place where the evil creature attacked. The victim was controlled by the monster, which had stuck its long tongue at the back of his neck. The victim rampaged inside the restaurant, eating all the food he saw.

"Roe, are you okay?" Sarah asked the pixie; she looked deep in thought.

"I remember now,” she exclaimed suddenly. “That is Gula, one of the 'Deadly Sins. They are the source of evil creatures even before Elementalia and the Human world were divided. Their strength comes from the sins that humans do.”

"What sin is its strength?" Joy asked.

"Gluttony You can think of him as a hybrid of tiktik and berberoka,” Roe explained.

Sarah frowned. “So instead of drowning his victims with water, Gula is drowning them with food?”

"Yes! But what normal people see is that the victim is just eating all the food until they become fat. Once the victim becomes too big, Gula will eat them whole!"

"We need to defeat it now! I don't want my figure to be ruined by that monster!" Peach said fiercely.

"She is more worried about her figure,” Ian grumbled in a whisper.

"I have a plan! Just follow my lead,” Sarah said.

The monster came out of the road with his victim. Peach called to him.

"Hey you, creepy monster! Catch me if you can!"

She winked at him playfully then she rushed away using her super speed.

Gula left his victim behind. A pair of wings grew at his back, and he flew toward Peach.

"He can fly with that big body?" Peach’s eyes widened in surprised. Gula almost caught her, but a huge log hit him in the face.

Peach led the monster into an open area where Joy and Sarah waited in ambush attack.

"Sarah, NOW!" Joy shouted.

Sarah levitated some long steels to wrap at the monster. But when she saw it's standing up again, enraged, she froze on the spot.

"Ate Sarah, watch out!" Peach wanted to save her, but she was already exhausted from using her power.

Gula struck a wall; someone had attacked him from the side.

"You can't defeat a Deadly Sin even with powers?" A boy with a green mask and silver salakot said. He was armed with two black arnis made of giant stingray tails.

"Too many pests! I will eat you all!” Gula attacked again using his sharp claws.

The masked boy fought back, and it seemed that he had the advantage against his opponent.

"Argh! Tampalasan! No one can defeat us! No one can defeat Gula,” the monster shouted, attacking the masked boy using his long tongue and wrapping it around him.

The masked boy cried in pain.

"I will eat you!" Gula cackled. His maw grew wider as he pulled the boy toward him.

"Sisters, let's help him,” Joy said.

"Yes, Ate!" Sarah and Peach chorused.

Then the triplets attacked the monster. Sarah used her power to bind Gula so he couldn’t move, while Joy used all her strength in punching it, forcing the monster to release the masked boy. Finally, Peach grabbed Gula’s tongue and quickly wrapped it around him.

"You will all pay for this! Your world will soon belong to our Queen too,” Gula said before it disappeared in a thick black smoke.

The triplets cheered. They had defeated Gula!

"I'm impressed. But the other Deadly Sins are a lot stronger, so you better be the Guardians soon,” the masked boy said before he left.

"Wait! How did you...?" Joy wanted to ask him questions, but he was already gone.

The triplets wondered who that boy was, and how he knew about the Guardians and the Deadly Sins.
