Chapter 3.3

Things were quiet between me and Hori-san while we worked on the books we had, as I wrote down everything that was about the Edo period and read them along the way.

By the time I was done with a third book, I snuck a glance at Hori-san. I was a bit surprised to see that she had already finished reading through a sixth one, leaving only two books still untouched.

I felt a bit embarrassed that she finished way more stuff than me, but this is what she's good at so I shouldn't be surprised.

Anyway, I figured we're going to be done here soon so maybe I can talk to her for a bit? It wouldn't hurt to get to know her better, right?

I mean, Hori-san is already treating me as a friend, unless I'm an idiot by mistaking her actions for something else.

"Do you spend most of your time here?"

Hori-san looked up from the book that she was reading and stared at me for a few moments, a confused look appearing on her face.
