"You're not looking good, we could go back if you want". She turned to catch a glance at him.

'Yes, we should'. He said to himself without letting her hear him. "I'm okay". He tried to muster enough words out of his mouth, probably he was thinking too much and he was wrong, he thought to himself.

"How have been pulling things through Helen?"

Michael had heard one of them ask Helen, he looked at the plate of rice that had just been served, he no longer had the appetite.

"He's been helping". She brushed his shoulder lightly.

"That's good, right". Charles faced his friends this time.

Michael sensed they were mocking him with their tone, it was like they didn't want Helen to feel bad.

"That's right". He heard the others murmur.

The silence stung him as he tried to imagine what they were up to in their heads.

"So you work at the gym?" Robbin asked while he played with the toothpick in his mouth, his eyes fixed on it.
