Chapter 20: Perfecting the act

Chapter 20:

The bracelet he destroyed not long ago was given to him by his senior brother (at the crime scene). Though that one was made with threads woven into a crochet, they both had one thing in common: the green gem.

Charlie tried to recall everything, but he couldn’t get his hands on why his senior brother would want to kill him.

“Thank you.” He said as he wore the bracelet on his arm and used the sleeve of the new cloth Becky gave him to cover the bracelet. He turned back to go inside the house, but before he could take the second step, a strong force sent him flying. His back collided with the shelter wall, and he spat out a large volume of blood. His internal organ had changed positions, he felt as if his stomach was smashed with a sledgehammer with that heavy blow he received.

“That’ll do it.” Becky clapped her hands as he looked at the angry Charlie as an artist would look at his best work.
