The next day, Mr. Kim knocked at Alex's door.

“hey young master Alex, quick come out we have somewhere to go”

“It's still night” Alex yawns sleeping back.

“no Alex it's a few minutes past 10:am” Mr. Kim knocks at the door again.

Alex quickly jumped down from the bed.

he lifts the curtain up “it's actually morning, but why did time decide to fly today of all day” he grumbles walking towards the door.

“Gosh! this bed is so soft and spacious and I've never slept on such in my life. I feel like sleeping a few more hours” he said

“you will buy and sleep on more comfy and spacious bed because you are no longer going to that old life your father made you live. I will make sure of that” Mr. Kim said as he heard what Alex said even though he said it in a low tone.

“good morning Mr. Kim” he greets yawning more.

“good morning young master Alex. but you don't have to add Mr just call me Kim you are my boss,” Mr. Kim said

“Until you stop addressing me as young master, I won't stop from addressing you as Mr. Kim” Alex yawned opening the door wide “come in,” he said walking towards the bed.

“thank you young master Alex” Mr. Kim walk in then shut the door “

“Can you just stop please” Alex begs feeling uncomfortable with the endless ‘young master’ thing.

“As I said earlier, you are my boss and it won't sound nice if I address you by your name outside so I have to also do it when we are alone so that I will get use to it”

after some time, he squeals in his heart excitedly then face Mr. Kim “ since am young master, you are to obey every of my command right”

Mr. Kim roll his eyes trying to understand where he was driving out “yes, and no” he replied when he didn't have the slightest idea of why he was asking the question.

Alex frowns “why yes, and why no”

Mr. Kim almost wanted to burst into laughter at his sudden frown but quickly suppress the urge to laugh

“it is disrespectful,” he said in his heart.

“well let me explain. I said yes because am supposed to obey all your command. but no at the same time because I can't obey you when what you are commanding will endanger your life” Mr. Kim stare at him after explaining.

“well am about to command you to do something and you will obey because it is not going to endanger my life” he walks towards Mr. Kim

“okay,” Mr. Kim nodded.

“as the young boss, I command you to stop calling me young master. just call me Alex while I call you Kim. deal?”Alex rolls his eyes

Mr. Kim let out the laughter he had been trying to suppress” deal”

“yea” Alex smile yawning till tears were dripping down his eyes

“you look hungry. did you eat at all yesterday” Mr. Kim asked in a caring tone observing his face.

“no” Alex nodded “I lost my father the only family I had so there was no appetite to eat” he stroll towards the window staring outside “besides, there was no food to arose my appetite”

“am sorry I didn't think to that side,” Mr. Kim said “over there is your bathroom” he points at a door “ have your bath while I pick out some clothes for you then we go downstairs where you will have your breakfast”

Alex nod then did as instructed.

“respectful and down to earth just like your father and not like those spoilt, disrespectful kids,” Mr. Kim said his teeth gritted referring to Abigail and James.

after having his bath, Alex walk out of the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist, water dripping down his body.

“that is your clothes, come downstairs when you are done” Mr. Kim who had sat on the bed, got up to leave.

“thank you” Alex smile glad that he was leaving giving him some privacy as he was used to dressing up in a room where he was the only one in.

“just in case you don't like these particular clothes, pick the one you want from the wardrobe everything in there is yours, and the shoe rack, pick out a shoe from there all of them are for you,” Mr. Kim said, and Alex nodded.

after Mr. Kim left, Alex stare at the gigantic wardrobe in the room.

“This wardrobe is bigger than my room back home” she shakes his head remembering the past.

“well old things have passed now let me face this beautiful moment before me” he brush the thought of sadness aside then walk towards the clothes on the bed.

“a suit jacket and pants” he gasped “I can't wear this” he quickly walk towards the wardrobe.

he was use to wearing faded shirts and jeans and not expensive suit pants and jackets.

“wow,” he opened his mouth wide on seeing what was inside the wardrobe.

five different types of perfume and one bottle of cream was sitting magnificently on one side while the other parts were filled with clothes.

“is all this for me? I can open a boutique with this”

he picks up the cream “for all skin types” he read the content.

he presses out a bit then run it through his body.

after checking out the clothes, he finally settled for a shirt and jeans.

though it looked expensive but it was better than wearing that suit that will draw all eyes on him.

he walks to the shoe rack then picks out a black pam.

after he was done, he spray all the five different perfumes and said “I smell nice”

taking one last look at his room,” it's well arranged” he smiled before walking down the stair.

yes, he was poor, but he was very neat.

he washes his clothes until they are sparkling clean if not for how faded they look, you wouldn't know they were bought years ago.

his stomach growled as he step into the sitting room to perceive a sweet frying smell.

“I know you won't wear that expensive suit today but don't worry you will soon love wearing it,” Mr. Kim said in his heart on seeing him walking down the stair putting on a simple shirt and jeans.

“your grandfather has gone to the office once you are done eating, we will head to the office,” Mr. Kim said noticing he was looking around.

breakfast was bread, fried egg, and tea.

after eating, Mr. Kim drove Alex to the office.

“wow, this is an empire. I've only seen it in movies and books” Alex said excitedly to Mr kim

“your grandfather owns this place so don't worry you will get to know everything about it and not just that, but you will

be the boss very soon” Mr. Kim smile “let me drive to the parking lot then we walk inside.

“wait here while I go inform your grandfather of your presence,” Mr. Kim said pointing at the reception room.

Alex walks into the reception room while Mr. Kim climbs the elevator.

after waiting for some time yet Mr. Kim wasn't coming, Alex stood up then walk towards the elevator.

“look who we have here” he heard a familiar voice say on entering the elevator.

he turned to see Mark and Andrea James's friend.

“he has gotten a new shirt and jeans,” Mark said

“yeah, that's because he is here to get a job and the only job he will get here is the job of a peon and I will personally give him that job,” Andrea said and Mark and Andrea burst into laughter.

Alex heard them speak nonstop about him but he just ignore them.

“beep, beep” the elevator sound signifying they have arrived at their location and Mark breathes a deep sigh of relief.

But as he tried to walk out, he felt a hand push him and he fell out of the elevator and landed on the floor.

“Young master!” three men rush towards him.

Andrea who had pushed Alex felt color drain from his face on seeing the men calling Alex young master.

he knew them and they were all Xavier stone's bodyguards.
