“Damn…. Damn…” he shouted as he ran through the forest holding his left arm, missing a chunk of flesh. “Fuck, it’s getting closer; I knew I shouldn’t have gone on this stupid hunt,” he said while running through the dark forest, he could dodge the trees because of the full moon’s light.

Even though he was bleeding continuously, he didn’t stop for a second, because he knew death was a few breaths away. “Who would have thought fictional monsters were real….”.

*Bang! *

He got hit by something, which sent him flying and crashing into a tree, “ahh… cough, fuck! He broke my legs. Shit. Stay away…. I said you stay back darn it, don’t come any closer.” He yelled while dragging his broken body forward with his right arm. He used the soil, tree roots, and even sticks to move forward, desperately trying to escape.

With his will, he manages to escape the forest. He looks up and saw a cliff in front of him. He was cornered. Behind him was a beast coming to take his life and in front of him was a cliff. But instead of showing despair, he smiled and crawled towards the cliff with his remaining strength.

He got to the edge of the cliff and looked down to see what was below. “Hahaha… God hasn’t abandoned me yet!” he yelled happily. After seeing a flowing river at the bottom of the cliff. This gave him hope that he could survive.

*Thud* *Thud*

Loud footsteps vibrated through the silent night as a massive shadow was moving through the forest and knocking down the trees in its path. “Hehe, you finally showed yourself, you motherfucker.” He yelled at the shadow in anger.

As soon as the shadow stepped out of the forest, the moonlight made it visible. It was a six-foot-tall wolf covered with brown fur and light brown eyes.

“My left arm wasn’t enough for you, huh? Do you want more, little doggy? “ He jeered the wolf by swinging his broken left arm around like a treat distracting the wolf, as he picks up a sharp flat rock that looked like a dagger, and hid it behind his back.

“Ahh... I give up, you asshole. I can’t feel my legs, and I lost my left arm; there is no use trying to escape; just get it over with, already.” he said as he lay flat on the ground, seemingly defenseless. seeing as the man stopped trying to fight back, the wolf dashed toward him for the finishing blow. It was met with a sharp stab in its right eye.

As the wolf was about to finish him off. Joon rolled halfway to his right, dodging the wolf’s bite and in that split second, he rolled back left and stabbed the wolf in its right eye.

“Hahaha… got you, bitch? If you want to kill me, prepare to lose more than one eye.” He laughed. While the wolf howled in pain from the attack. Joon crawled to the cliff’s edge, sat there, and said while facing the wolf. “Remember, it was I, Cha Joon, who took your eye”. As soon as he said that. He leaned back and fell into the river, grabbing onto a broken log.

Joon realized that the river was flowing downstream towards a waterfall, but he smiled happily. At least he chose his DEATH. “Haha-Haha, I stabbed him, I fucking stabbed him in the eye and escaped. Who would have thought that a college dropout like me who plays online (mystical creature master) mobile games would beat a six-foot-tall wolf? Like, what kind of wolf is six-foot? Damn that fucking game. To think a mobile game where you capture a virtual mystical creature by going to the location on the phone map would have a living one,” He complained.

*owooooo*

*owoooo*

---------------- in the forest-------------

The wolf’s howls sounded like an angry storm as it ran on the waterfront beside the river, tracking the smell of Joon’s blood that flowed downstream. The wolf ran with its full strength after picking up the scent, and it did not stop even when obstacles were in its way.

*Bang*

*Bang*

“What the hell was that?” Cha Joon, shocked by the sound of falling trees, stared at the forest. He saw the wolf running beside the river that moved at 50 kilometers per hour. He smiled at the wolf and yelled. “You’re too late, asshole. If I am going to die; I’ll die my way,” he said before falling down the waterfall with a smile on his face and his middle finger up.

While falling, he saw the wolf turn back as soon as it reached the edge of the waterfall.

“Tch”

“What a coward. You don’t have the guts to swim with me, huh? Answer me,” he yelled while falling.

The wolf’s ears twitched as it turned its head back as if it had just heard what he said. It moved a few meters to create momentum and jumped toward Joon with its jaws wide open and caught a bite of him in mid-air before they both crashed into the river.

Am I dead? I can’t believe that fucking wolf got me in the end. I hope it died from the fall. Cha Joon thought in his mind. He tried moving his body, but his hands moved instead. “What the hell? I thought I was dead, so how can I move my hand? I’ll try opening my eyes. He tried prying his eyes open, but they wouldn’t move, then he gave up. “Damn it, I can’t open my fucking eyes; I mean, if I can feel my hand, that means being alive, right!? Right?”

*Thump Thump*

*Thump Thump*

“What the hell was that? It sounds like a heartbeat. Is someone there? Shit, I can’t open my damn mouth! Damn it, damn it. “Phoo.” let’s calm down” He stopped panicking and tried listening to any other sound. After listening for a few minutes, he heard a voice...
