"I'll come with you," said Hector. Phinehas and the trio were preparing to leave for the caves and Hector wanted to go with them. It was a perfectly logical idea.

Besides, the kidnapped kids would tend to recognize the village chief more than the Phinehas and the trio.

"Okay. Who will look after the village though?" asked Phinehas.

"Old Zayn will help out in my absence," replied Hector. Phinehas nodded and looked at Memphis. Memphis shrugged. It was fine by him. An extra Mage wouldn't hurt especially when they were facing the likes of a general level creature.

Hector took one last look at his wife. She tried to meet his gaze but glanced downwards, unable to look at her husband. Breathing heavily, Hector stood up and followed Phinehas and the trio. Old Zayn looked at Hannah. "You know that Hector loved you very much? why would you choose to hurt him so?" he asked.

Hannah sniffled. "I had no choice," she replied, unable to meet the old man's gaze.
