Edward's - [P.O.V]

My hands trembled as my blood signed the alpha's approved rejection letter… I had to do it, for Mason's sake.

"Here you go." I faintly said handing the paper over.

"When am I getting the money?" I asked.

"Money… What money? I thought I had a smart Ex husband but you've shown me that you are just very dumb you see." she replied smiling like she's won an award or something else.

"What do you mean by that, Celine?" I asked her in confusion.

"Oh please Edward! How could you think for a second that I could give you my family's money!" Celine yelled out.

I stared at her speechlessly, shocked at what I just heard. I have just been played for a fool.

"You tricked me!" I said counting my words.

"Yes I did! And so what? You have responsibilities and this is one of them… Man up and pay your son's bills." Celine said leaving the hospital.

"I'd rather get married to an alpha!" Celine Smirked evily, like a demon.

"Bye… My Daughter's Ex Mate." Celine's mother said, following her daughter closely behind.

"Mr. Edward, please see me in my office." The sherman said to me, I followed him to the office and what he said broke me.

All he said was that Mason's condition is getting very critical, he needs surgery and fast. Further delay might cause his heart to stop beating.

I was devastated as the doctor walked out.

"What was I supposed to do now?" I began punching the wall at a corner thinking of a way out of this mess and blaming myself for everything.

I ran out of the sherman hospital, having no idea as to how and where I was going to get the money needed to save my son's life. Walking desperately on the road, I came across a very familiar face coming out of a bar heading towards her car.

"Isn't that Kailah? My Ex - Girlfriend?" My wolf got all excited as I remembered our nasty history.

"That's her." I said, running to get to her before she leaves.

"Kailah!" I yelled out seconds before she drove off.

The car stopped and she came out looking shocked to see me.

"Edward...What are you doing here and what happened to you?... You look so messed up, hope you are fine." She said.

I didn't bother to notice that she was drunk, all I thought was maybe she could help me.

"I know this isn't the right place and time to say this but I'm stranded and I'm desperate for help." I replied.

"Edward, what's wrong?" Kailah asked curiously.

"It's Mason, He's sick, a rare disease and I need $300,000 dollars for his treatment." I explained.

"Wow Edward, that's a huge amount of money." Kailah responded.

"I know Kailah...I know, it's just that you know how it is for wolves in the city, not close to the forest." I replied, breaking down in tears.

"Calm down Eddy… I may be able to help you out but I need a little something from you in return." Kailah said Sexily as she walked towards me.

"Was I about to get myself entangled in another deal?" I said to myself taking a step back.

"You still look as hot as before and those abs are just sectioned… How I love it." Kailah said, rubbing my abs with a seductive look.

"I'm a Married man, Kailah." I replied, condemning her seductive gestures to me.

"Oh shush! You're a tall handsome, crazily sexy dude with a big long Antenna." She said and for a moment there, I almost laughed.

"I Will help you if you do me just one tiny favour, my love." She said rubbing her fingers against my chest so seductively and I was beginning to feel it.

No matter how I tried to avoid it.

I couldn't control my hardening veins.

I knew what she wanted.

Because a wolf is always a big bad wolf!

"What is it?" I asked.

The next words that came out of her mouth left me speechless for a while.

"Spend tomorrow night with me, My place, then after that you can have the money." She said.

"What!" I yelled out.

"Common Edward, remember how we went all night, the fun we had. I miss you..." Kailah replied.

"What other options do I have? Seconds ago I was helpless. Now someone wants to help but in exchange for my body." I said to my wolf.

"Oh yeah, you have no options." He replied.

"After all, I'm no longer married so agreeing to this won't change anything plus I won't be losing either so I'll just do it" I added.

"Fine then." My wolf replied.

"Are you sure you will give me the money, no jokes?!" I asked.

"He still has that burning fire meow…" She responded seductively.

"Fine, text me your address. I'll be there by 4pm tomorrow evening." I said bluntly.

"Awwwn! That's a good boy… I will be waiting for you." Kailah said.

She excitedly enters her car and zooms off.

I went home from there, took a shower and rested my head. I found out my ex wife had taken the house back so I would be homeless soon.

I thought about Kailah too.

I'm not going to lie but it's been a long time since I had an intimate connection with anyone.

So I won't only be pleasing her but myself also, hence the sole reason for doing that is for my son.

I got home, freshened up and made whatever I could lay my hands on in the Kitchen.

I went on to take my rest in preparation for the new day ahead. First thing the next morning I went to see my son at the hospital.

I sat by his side till it was almost time to go to Kailah. I Followed the address she sent to me and I reached her place.

Knocked at the door and after a while it opened.

"Uhm Edward what are you doing here..?" Kailah asked, looking shocked to see me.

"We made a deal, remember?…" I was astonished by her question indeed.

"What are you talking about and what deal?" she asked again.

"You sent me your address, you said if we have sex you would pay for my son's hospital bill!"

"Now you're asking me what I'm doing here!?" I said with an angry tune.
