Ch 01. Out of Seclusion

As the years passed and society progressed, more and more individuals began to form relationships with one another for various social reasons.

However, while the world around him changed and tall buildings became a common sight, one person remained steadfastly alone, sequestered in the depths of the forest.

He was completely undressed, not a single sheet or leaf covering his bare body. His hair was so long that it almost encircled the boulder he was perched atop, and his long beard and mustache concealed his entire torso.

The darkness was overwhelming in the cave; it was as if no light could penetrate its walls. The silence was also pervasive, and there seemed to be no break from it.

Time was passing, and no one seemed to be able to stop it; people were going about their daily routines, some choosing to work and others preferring to take a vacation.

One year...

Two years...

Ten years later...

The population of the world was continuously rising, prompting governments from all around the globe to commission the construction of more settlements to accommodate the growing number of citizens.

As a result, the number of skyscrapers was also on the rise. Simultaneously, the natural beauty of the planet was being diminished with each passing day.

Outside the cave where the old man lived was a startling sight: four workers clad in construction gear were gazing in awe at the imposing structure before them. One of them broke the silence by asking, "What do you think about this cave? Should we demolish it?"

His friend replied, "It would be very difficult to destroy it, even with the help of some heavy machinery. It would be much better to turn it into a tourist spot."

"That's true," he agreed. "I'll go ahead and report this to the higher-ups. I'm sure they'll have some ideas for a cave this big – it would be a shame to just demolish it."

The four of them no longer lingered, promptly departing from the cave.

Suddenly, the old man who had been in a meditative state with eyes closed, opened his eyes. His golden orbs were decorated with crescent patterns, radiating a powerful energy that blew away the dust that had settled around him.

His entire being emanated a holy golden light, with nine gleaming silver halos hovering above him. Three pairs of wings made of holy light manifested behind him, and a crescent moon with a colossal eyeball in the center hovered above his head, exuding an aura of grandeur.

A moment later, all that majestic energy had vanished without a trace. His two golden eyes still shone, but the crescent pattern was no longer present; all that remained was the noble aura still lingering around him.

"How long have I been cultivating? No, no... Should I say it's been a trial of luck?" he murmured, his face obscured by his beard and mustache. Despite this, his youthful voice still carried through.

[(Li Hanshen)'s existence can threaten the Creator. Does (Li Hanshen) want to replace the Creator?]

Li Hanshen stared at the system panel in front of him, speechless. It had become apparent to him that, despite his newfound power, the Creator - the being responsible for all living things and their contents - felt threatened by his existence.

Could it be that he had the potential to become another God?

But he quickly dismissed the idea. He had no desire to take the Creator's place, nor to be the object of worship. Even though his strength had grown exponentially, he had yet to develop a sense of invincibility.

"No, I will not replace the Creator," he answered quietly. Although he was no longer human, he still wanted to lead a normal life - one that was even higher than that of a God.

Supreme Being!

Twelve thousand years ago, when he was suddenly transported to Earth, he was granted an astonishing lottery system. After spinning the lottery system for a full twelve millennia, he had acquired such power and influence that even the Creator was put in a position of potential danger.

Li Hanshen surveyed his environment, his golden eyes piercing through the inky darkness. "Gosh," he muttered, taking in the fact that he was not wearing any clothes, "it seems like even clothing can be destroyed by the passage of time."

He wondered if there were any other Supreme Beings in the universe, but if there were, he guessed that there were probably very few of them. His goal was clear, to improve the Human race and make it the Supreme Being Race.

He flicked his finger and a puff of dust rose up, coalescing into a simple garment and a black cloak with a hood. His current strength was such that he was even able to create new universes.

Rising from the ground, Li Hanshen's long hair, beard and mustache all became visible. His perfect facial features, which had been hidden by the thick facial hair, were now clearly visible. His hair also began to regrow rapidly, and he could see the progress with his own eyes.

Li Hanshen stretched his body and sighed, "Twelve thousand years of cultivation is really exhausting..."

He descended from the top of the stone table with a slow and steady pace. With a mere flick of his finger, a flurry of tiny blue sparks floated along the cave path. As he observed the beautiful display, he exclaimed, “It turns out this is how it feels to be invincible…”

He was aware of how powerful he had become. All the benefits he had obtained from the lottery system had accumulated over the course of 12,000 years, resulting in the person he is today.

After all, the Ultimate Supreme God cultivation stage had never been accomplished before. It signified that his current level was far beyond what he had known.

He stepped out of the cave, and the air around him immediately lost its oppressive quality. His regal presence was gone, replaced with a more mundane aura. Despite his attempt to disguise himself, his handsome features still lent him an air of distinction.

Taking in a deep breath of the fresh afternoon air, he squinted at the sun's rays playing across his face.

"Ahh... I can finally go about my business without fear of being killed," he said with a sigh of relief.

He once obtained a Lucky Card from a lottery system which promised him a Supreme God Body. Since his race had an innate ability to increase their lifespan, this meant that, if he obtained the Body of a Supreme God, he would become an Immortal that no one could kill.

In other words, he had become immortal.

He gazed up at the glorious evening sky, which seemed to be radiating beauty. "It seems like just yesterday I was cultivating...", he murmured, before closing his eyes and extending his spiritual sense to encompass the entire Earth.

As soon as his eyes were shut, he could see everything that was happening on the planet all at once. In the next moment, he opened them again, amazement palpable in his voice as he exclaimed, "It turns out Earth has become a modern world! There are so many new civilizations built here now."

Li Hanshen inhaled deeply, his gaze lingering on a single rose that grew not far from where he stood.

He carefully approached the rose and, with a gentle touch of his fingertips, a golden light emanated from them and illuminated the petals of the red rose, rendering it beautiful yet lonely.

As he withdrew his hand, the golden glow stayed, bathing the flower in a wave of vitality. Before long, a girl who appeared to be sixteen years old had manifested in front of him, looking bewildered.

The girl blinked her eyes slowly, then gazed up at Li Hanshen with a look of deep admiration and respect. "Your Honour!" she exclaimed.

"From now on you will be my assistant. I will name you Yu Mei."
