Lucas was currently running through the forest northwest of the Norwegian region. He is currently wearing black clothes with a trench coat type coat and a hood over his head and a black scarf covering his mouth and nose as he is using magic to increase his speed. He used the shadows formed by the trees as cover as he ran until he reached a secluded part of forest.

The northwestern region of Norway was mainly dominated by forests so there wasn't much jurisdiction from the royal family in the area. But Lucas was quite careful as he didn't want anyone to know about him being here. But he has more leeway now due to the war about to start in the horizon. The cave which is the reason for the tension between the two kingdoms was also a few kilometres south of the place.

Lucas kept on running until he stopped when he saw glimpses of a lake from between the trees. He then started to slowly make his way to the lake as he stuck to the shadows and made sure to not make a sound. He slowly made his way to it as he checked his surroundings so that he isn't caught of guard. He reached the edge of the forest but stayed in the shadows as he looked at the lake. The waterfall can also be seen from his place as he searched.

'Hmm, this seems to be the place and it does match the description given. Thing is, is the information correct and does it actually exist here?' Lucas thought to himself as he looked around.

Not wanting to waste time he started to move around the forest in the shadows as he scanned the area of the lake. He kept at it for a few minutes but unfortunately for him he was unable to find anything worthwhile. He stopped as he looked around him with narrowed eye's.

"It appears that it isn't here. Then again it is a rumour so I didn't have much hope. Should I stay here and wait or go back?" Lucas thought out loud as he looked around.

Then an idea came to his mind as he looked at his hand.

'Maybe if I use space magic to feel the space around me then.' Lucas thought as he formulated his plan.

He then closed his eyes and stayed like that for a few seconds before he opened them. He was the covered in a purple aura before it disappeared. Right after it happened Lucas was now able to feel the space around him. He closed his eyes as he widened the range and felt the beings occupying the space, whether living or non-living.

He felt trees, fish, insects, birds and animals as he increased his range. He didn't find anything for a few seconds but then he felt the presence of a humanoid entity.

'Hmm, I can feel it. Humanoid, shorter than me, and it appears to be female. Not to mention, she seems to be far different from normal humanoid beings.' Lucas thought to himself.

He then learned the location of the girl and then ran the her direction. The girl was not too far away and seemed to be sitting in a clearing. But he never shut down the magic as he didn't want to be taken by surprise. He ran as he jumped from branch to branch and stuck to the shadows as he made his way to the entity.

After running for a bit he managed to reach the area in which his target is sitting. He used his magic to keep an eye of the target and saw that she didn't seem to have noticed his presence.

'Hmm, maybe she isn't well-versed in magic, then again a few in the kingdom's seem to know how to use it.' Lucas thought to himself as he slowly walked forward.

He made sure to not let her know of his existence as he walked carefully towards her. He had managed to clear half the distance between them as he slowly walked closer and closer to her. He could now see the girl who is sitting on the rock with closed eyes.

The girl has pale skin, light blue hair which went a little past her shoulders. She has yellow eyes which he hasn't seen yet and a very beautiful face. She is shorter than him which he had inferred not too long ago and seemed to be unarmed at the moment.

Lucas noted the features as he slowly moved towards her but then stopped when the girl opened her eyes. Then to his surprise she looked at his direction which caused him to widen his eyes. The girl meanwhile smirked at his direction before she stood up and looked at his direction with a proud smirk.

"So, an insect dares to come near me? Show yourself and I might show you mercy." The girl said haughtily as she smirked.

Lucas felt his eyebrows twitch when he heard what she said. But he decided to come out since he was spotted by her. He moved from his place in the shadows as he walked into the clearing. The girl regarded him with a haughty look before a smirk made its way to her face.

"Oh, so a human has come this time huh." The girl said with a smirk.

"Are you saying that you aren't human?" Lucas asked when he heard her.

"Of course I'm not. I'm a demigoddess. Why do you think I would ever call myself a human." The girl said in a tone which is becoming arrogant now.

Lucas's eyes widened when he heard her.

'A demigoddess. So maybe she is actually the one who the rumours is about.' Lucas thought to himself.

"So you are the one who has destroyed the bandits in the area?" Lucas asked her.

"Haha! Of course it is me. Those idiot's didn't know that they were facing a demigoddess. I made sure to make quick work of them. I'm sure they wouldn't even dare face me again in the future." The girl said in a prideful tone.

"Seems like you are quite strong." Lucas said as he studied her.

"Of course, I am a demigoddess so I will naturally be stronger than you mortals. So, did you want to sneak attack me?" The girl asked him.

"Not quite. I don't know if you know this but a war is about to occur between the two kingdoms." Lucas said to her.

"Ah yes, such trivial matters like war. Only you mortals would act like this." The girl said haughtily.

'She seems to have a severe God complex despite only being a demigoddess.' Lucas thought with a twitch of his eyebrow.

"Well, I was hoping that I could maybe use your strength in the coming war." Lucas said to her.

The girls eyes widened when she heard it and then narrowed them. She didn't say anything in return which drew his attention.

"So, you wish to bring me, a demigoddess to a trivial matter like that." The girl said in a deadly tone.

"Yes, that's it." Lucas said to her as he was preparing himself to fight.

'I knew it. She doesn't like the fact that a mortal is trying to make a higher being like her fight for his war.' Lucas thought to himself.

"Hmph. You are quite arrogant for a mortal. I'll make you regret this decision of insulting me." The girl said as she looked at him with her eyes glowing.

"We shall see. I haven't actually met a challenge for sometime now." Lucas said trying to act arrogant.

"Heh, then let this be the last battle in your life. Rejoice that your death comes by my hand." The girl said before a sword appeared in her right hand.

She shot towards him and Lucas immediately unsheathed a sword and blocked the strike but he was pushed back a bit from the force from the strike.

'This will be a difficult battle.' Lucas thought as he glared at the demigoddess.

Olivia couldn't believe what was happening right now. She had entered the throne room, ready to fight against the enemy prince. But right after she had dodged the energy attack from Eric, a smaller attack had hit her, and to her surprise she didn't feel any pain from him, which was confusing for her and concerning. And then before she was able to think about the attack, her body moved forward, her arms curled around the shaft of her spear as she slashed her spear, right towards Lucas. This alarmed her as she wasn't able to stop herself as she felt fear, and then relief when he had parried her attack and pushed her back. But then she saw Master Andvaranaut attack him with his spear as well as he also parried the attack and made the man fall back. And she saw Kriemhild attacking him from behind as he was moving to protect himself, but Aslaug appeared as she met with Kriemhild and pushed her back which gave her more relief. Which was when Olivia saw the yellow glow in her master'

Lucas and his companions stormed the palace as they charged in through the main door and ran as they didn't find any guards there, but they kept running to find the mage and stop this war. They ascended a flight of steps to get to the throne room. But they were met with the sight of more than 100 soldiers who were ready with their weapons as they immediately honed in on the intruders. "Attack!" The commander shouted as the soldiers ran. Arrows and magic flew towards them as Lucas and Aslaug charged forward and sliced the magical attacks while the others followed their lead while dodging the arrows as the enemy soldiers were charging at them at the same time. Olivia wreathed her spear with lightning as she threw it as it sailed through the air and impaled through a line of soldiers and stabbed through the heart of a mage, before it yanked itself out and flew back towards Olivia as she grabbed it as she met the soldiers blades with her alongside the rest. Andvaranaut had noticed ho

  • Chapter 67

Lucas and his group charged through the territory as they passed by civilians and soldiers, the latter of which they dispatched off pretty quickly, as it was quite easy for Lucas to do so with his magic. He also had held from Olivia and Andvaranaut as they also used their spears to shoot lightning at the enemies, the two weapons were given to them by the court mage and they were pretty reliable weapons. Aslaug watched them and frowned as her own sword is unable to do the same thing, which makes her limited in terms of range, which in hindsight would've been useful when she had first fought against Lucas. 'Hmm, I guess that is a limitation I have.' Aslaug thought to herself as she rode the horse as they charged at the castle. Of course, the way to the castle wasn't quite easy as there were soldiers that tried to kill them but they were dispatched off quickly as they made the horses run faster as they felt the wind over their faces and skin as they charged, it was true for Lucas,

Lucas felt his power increase as the runes were becoming more attuned to his body as his own body was getting used to them as well as they were harmonizing as he ran towards the golems and his own brats as the others followed on their foot as they charged at the enemies. Alpha and the rest of the boys also noticed their Lord and the army coming towards them with Lucas at their helm. the guy himself nodded to them as he approached as they smiled at his acknowledgement, but focused back on the battle as they knew that it had more priority at the moment. Lucas charged forward, not about to let this opportunity go by as Aslaug immediately followed after him, being the only one who is equal ground to him, followed by Andvaranaut, Olivia and Kriemhild as they charged. He reached the nearest golem as his sword sang as he slashed it's leg as he passed one of his boys as he slashed off its right arm, grabbed it to have leverage before he plunged the sword into the golems head, got a foot

  • Chapter 65

Lucas couldn't believe his eyes as he saw the golems that were attacking them as he couldn't help but squint his eyes as he saw the things. His irritation growing at how much of a problem this new mage was being to them and how much he wanted to end his life so that he doesn't have to deal with all these things. By now the rest of his group had also spotted the golems as many of the soldiers paled at the sight while Andvaranaut, Olivia and Kriemhild were tense as they saw them. Aslaug just frowned as she looked at the golems, her expression hidden by the helmet. Lucas licked his lips as he growled at the sight of the enemy, the image of his wyvern being hurt was etched into his mind as he could vividly recall the sight of his charred chest and damaged wings. He was going to make them pay for what they have done. "Why don't you use your portals to just send them back." Andvaranaut asked him as they had moved back due to the assault. "It still costs me energy to use my magic. I don

The soldiers watched with wide eyes as the portal devoured the attacks from the enemy as they were awed by the sight in front of them as Lucas grit his teeth while the others watched. "Woah." Olivia said in awe at the sight. "Impressive." Andvaranaut said with a nod. "Master Lucas..." Kriemhild said in awe at the giant portal in front of her. The other soldiers who are being protected by him were also awed as they watched the deadly attacks being taken into the portal as he himself is gritting his teeth to ensure that the portal is stable and stays open, otherwise then the soldiers behind him are sure to die, while the more skilled ones would at least be able to dodge the attacks. Aslaug watched the spectacle as she gripped her sword tight as she saw the magic he is using as she watched the powerful attacks being devoured, and she knew that he would also be able to do the same thing to her if he wanted to. Lucas kept his focus as he kept the portal open until the attack wa
