“Yeah, what is it?”

“What about grandma?” When he was put out, she was still with him but recently he had not run into her, nor had he heard her brought up.

“I haven’t heard you say her name since we got together. I wish she were doing fine. This is the only bit that’s making me stressed.”

“We split or should I say she split from me, she’s now staying with her fresh mate in Dublin.”

“Oh man, for what reason did she do that? You two have been with each other for about four marks?” Dominic was quite taken aback and let down, he brought back how she was always there for him after his single mom went away.

She used to care and look out for him, she didn’t turn him over to a care worker like most up-to-date girls do. He also had real love for her.

“Come on, Grandfather, for what reason would she do that to you, I can bring back that you were a kind and warm mate to her?”

“Dominic you've got to let that go, it’s in the past now. It’s done and there’s nothing you can do to shift it.”

“When did that go down?”

“A few marks back, to be clear, three.” Dominic let out a gasp.

“I think at that time you were still the top in the trade world?”

“Sure!”

Dominic went into a quiet bit, he was so taken aback at the move of some girls, if not most, their want for cash and other stuff.

When he was small, he learned that his grandparents were just normal folk, they didn’t have a ton as they do now but she was with his grandpop, she was a loyal mate and mom.

If she could be with him through all the hard bits, what would make her go now other than greed, she needed a big cut of his cash. He moved his arm up.

“What’s up Dominic, you’re lost in your head about your grandma?” He nodded a yep. Orion put his head down and sat for a few beats.

“Kid,” he got in closer to him.

“I want you to let her off just like I have, I get it’s greed that made her act this way, she said she was done but I know the real cause of her pick, it’s my cash. She wanted part of it,” he took a hard gasp and kept going.

“As part of the split rules, I gave her three billion in cash, a large bit of money there. But I don’t let this eat my brain, taking in the good bits of her being in my days,” his gaze had hurt.

“Will you recall her?”

“Yep, she was the most fit mate and I’ll hold those fun bits we had with each other for all time. I don’t bring back what she did after but it was good.”

“That’s right pops, I get your way of seeing now. Yours is fine you got good to keep her for but mine, I’ll have not a lone good to bring back of our bond, other than my kid.”

“What? You got a kid?”

“Yep, I do. He’s three and his name is Carl.”

“Oh wow, this is wild, you mean I got a great kid?”

“Of course.”

“How do I get to look at him?”

“You will, even if he stays with his mom and there’s no shot you would see him right now, I wish I had a big phone so you could talk to him via video or see his shot.”

“Is that a hitch? I’ll give you a high-tech phone.”

“You got it wrong pops?” Dominic gave him a sharp look, and he brought back that he was making an effort to keep his spot secret from all for now.

“There’s no shot I’ll come back with a nice phone and she wouldn’t think something is up, even if I say it’s a gift, I want to keep my spot from her for a bit to see her doing the most bad so when I want to hit back, I wouldn’t think back.”

“Well I get what you’re saying, it’s all good.”

“But pops, you can look at my kid’s shot on her F******k page. Carl is there.” He got the phone from his pops.

He got into F******k with the pass he was given, typed Aurora Bailey, Apex law firm star, and a big name showed up below her shot.

He grinned.

“What big name is she, more than me?”

He’s not so big-headed in his brain but bringing back what Aurora had been doing to him made him think this.

He went through the shots for Carl’s pics, there were a bunch of shots of him, his pops couldn’t stop but take him in.

“I can’t hold out to see him,” he paused.

“I got a thing to tell you, it kind of ties Aurora and Helen.” Dominic stared at him sharply to get to know the next bit he would talk about.

“I’ve bought the Apex law firm, every last bit of it from Marco Paterson, the old boss.”

“What?” Dominic jumped up in big glee, he couldn’t take in what he was getting word of. “You mean you bought Apex law firm pops?”

“Yep, Dominic. I made a choice to let you know when you said your mate is a lawyer. I feel it’s a rich trade, I need to put it with my busy trade world for more bucks. I don’t feel quite drawn to doing every bit of it, I’m by now old, I would put it to you. You would be the new head of the Apex law firm.”

“Just say you’re having me on, this is nuts. You mean I’m gonna be the head of the trade my mean mate and her mom is hired for?” He gave a mean grin in shock, this is way past what he was hoping for.

“I’m going to the law spot the next day to do a flip of the rule. Could you be able to go?”

“When I go out to drive, I’ll go here and go with you. I wish it won’t be some big bash, I don’t want them or anybody to get word of it yet.”

“No, no. It’s gonna be a shut bash, just with me, you, the lawyer, and his guy, shut guy, not the big guy to keep our bits safe. You can pick to make it out when you wish to, maybe at the big bash show.”

“Yeah, that’s good Grandfather. I’m in on it.”

“You can come here each time you go out to drive, at the end of the day, when you want to come back, I’ll give you the sum your mate said and you will do as you got it at your gig. Deal?”
