He knelt under the heavy rain, the love of his life in his arms.

He was the all powerful evil god; he was Lex Acron, the evil god.

Yet, he couldn't save her. He didn't know how long he had been kneeling there.

Days perhaps, the smell of her rotting corpse already perched his nose.

Xorn stood watching his father.

He didn't cry. The past five days had been a blur. "Can she come back?"

The question hung in the air. "I thought gods didn't die."

The denial in his voice as he watched his father drop her body on a bed of crystal roses. "I Will have my revenge." Lex vowed a raw emotion in his voice.

"She's already dead." Xorn said quietly to his father, but even he didn't believe it.

The drops of rain turned to diamonds against her pale, clammy skin.

One chance, then maybe she wouldn't have died, maybe. "It's my fault." He muttered to himself.

"I will take everything and everyone they love away from them." Lex spoke as well.

"I'm the reason she died," Xorn argued with pure hatred.

Lex rising to his feet turned bright black eyes with sliver pupils filled with contempt to Xorn. "The humans deceived you!"

"I killed her!" Xorn felt the tears he had been holding for days well in his heart. "I put the knife in her chest." he stared at his hands.

Lex stared at the grey sky. "Forget."

"What?" before Xorn could think, his father said the words that changed his life.

"Forget about god's, forget about your mother, forget about your powers. Forget who you are, forget about me." Lex's eyes filled with sorrow as a stray tear fell from his white lashes.

Xorn stared at him in shock. "You're getting rid of me?" he fumed. "I killed her now you're getting rid of me?" he yelled at him.

"No Xorn I just can't let you bear the weight of killing your own mother. You can't handle it. Let me face it alone." Lex explained.

Xorn shook his head. "You despise me! You hate me! You know I didn't mean to kill her." his hands were shaking.

Lightning bolts shot from the sky a mighty wind blew in response to his anger.

Lex stared at the child. "It is the human's fault."

"She warned me, I didn't listen."

The tears fell from Xorn's eyes and Lex placed his hand on his head.

"I love you Xorn. I could never hurt you, I promise you. I will destroy every single human in existence. I will show no mercy. If it will give you peace." Lex assured him.

Xorn stared at him from below. He was a huge man. "That won't bring her back. She loved humans more than us. I won't forgive her."

Lex couldn't bear to see his son get eaten up by so much hatred for his own self, just because he couldn't understand that even before time, it had already been written.

His punishment as the evil god, his own son, would end his and his beloved's life.

He had to save his son from such a wicked and brutal curse. He caressed his cheek. "I'm sorry. Erase****"

Before Xorn could not protest, he locked his memories away and knocked him out cold.

Picking his son up in his arms. He walked through a sea of dead bodies.

Rivers of red.

The war had been brutal between humans.

The love of his life, the goddess of love, had to sacrifice herself for the humans.

He couldn't save her. He tried to stop her, but he couldn't save her.

Bones snapped beneath his feet.

He despised humans. His wife was the reason he had lived peacefully with them.

They betrayed her, despised her, spat at her and yet she loved them, but he hated them.

And he would crush them and grind them into dust. They will weep and gnash their teeth. He would kill their loved ones and they will watch as he ripped them apart.

A vortex ripped open through space and he walked through. Appearing in a nice home.

A man and woman were walking out of the nice court yard probably going on a stroll.

They couldn't see him.

Normal humans couldn't. He walked through their front yard and the plants died. It was the effect he had on everything around him.

They always died and so before he could hurt the only one he loved left, he must leave him with ones he despised the most as a symbol of his promise to the humans.

In fifteen years, he shall return and he shall take this world with him.

He dropped Xorn on the front porch. He was sound asleep. His powers, well locked away, and he covered his real appearance with a veil in which no mortal could see through.

From today, his son was an ordinary mortal.

He flew into the sky right into space, the pressure and pull of the wind against his flesh reminding him of never ending memories.

Fifteen years of loneliness, he couldn't bear it. He landed in his realm in the palace of stars, the graveyard of gods. The realm of the immortals.

They bowed on seeing him, the Demi gods all on their knees. "Welcome supreme Evil lord."

Drakkar, the rearer of dragons, approached him. "We must exact revenge, my Lord for our queen."

Lex sighed, walking to his throne of bones and muscles.

He walked up a carpet of blood majestically sat on the floating throne. "Prepare an army fifteen years from now. We shall conquer the four realms and crush the humans. I most avenge my beloved."

"Why wait a fifteen years?" Drakkar protested, but bowed in submission.

"The world is in turmoil. us fighting now has no meaning. We must wait for when they are happy and safe and then we will take away everything from them. I want to hear their screams of agony." Lex said with an overwhelming anger.

"As you wish, my great lord."

And so he slumbered for fifteen years until the present day.

Xorn stared at his history teacher like he was insane, raising his hand up "Yes Xorn." he answered.

"Um, sir, this is a history class. Folklore and literature is that way."

The whole class roared with laughter, "You have a smart mouth Mr Lex." the lecturer said with annoyance.

It infuriated him how much time this lecturer wasted on teaching them non-existent rubbish.

The bell rang, ending the school day.

Xorn scoffed, packing up his stuff when his girlfriend ran over to him. "Hi Xorn." she waved

He smiled, waving back at her.

They walked home together most of the time. He lived with his foster parents. They were nice people, and they loved Dior.

He and Dior have been dating for five years now, since a first year of college he met her during their first class together, when she walked in it was love at first sight he had been scared to talk to her but he gathered up courage and he was grateful he did.

She was the best thing that ever happened to him.

They were in their final year of college and he was ready to marry her by the ending of the college year.

They held hands, walking down the corridor of the campus. "Xorn what do you think about what that teacher said?"

He opened his locker, throwing his books in "It's all a bunch of nonsense."

"But what if it were real? What if the world ended tomorrow?" She asked seriously.

He looked at her for a moment. "Well, screw tomorrow then. Even if the world fell apart as far as I am with you, I am fine. I don't care if the entire world burns. I just need you," he chuckled, pulling her in for a kiss.

She blushed furiously. "Your such a sweet talker."

"You know I mean it, I love you Dior." He said holding her in his arms.

"I love you too, Xorn." Her smile made his heart flutter as he kissed her.

That was the truth Dior was his life.
