Thirty nine

Upon leaving the Bloom mansion, Joanna was filled with excitement. Everything had been falling into place since the recovery of their daughter, and it was all working out perfectly for them.

Her grandmother would showcase her value to the numerous guests invited to the banquet. Joanna would be honored in their presence, bringing her immense joy.

Unable to contain her gratitude, she turned to Travis and expressed, "Thank you, Travis. I don't know how you do it or if you possess foresight, but your support has meant the world to me. You believed in me, and I truly appreciate that."

Travis gazed at her with a smile and they paused their walk. He nodded and replied, "Well, I appreciate the fact that you appreciate me."

Joanna chuckled, her eyes filled with love as she continued to gaze at him. She then said, "Ever since Maya, our lives—" She let out a sigh before apologizing, "I'm sorry."
