Erina continued watching him for a few more seconds.

Her gaze was sharp, as if trying to read something behind Fang Zhe’s calm expression. Then she slowly set down her teacup.

“There’s an important meeting today.”

Her tone returned to a professional one.

“A business meeting regarding medicinal material trade with a long-time client of the Medicine Pavilion. The value is very large.”

Fang Zhe stood straight.

“I understand, Miss.”

Erina rose from her seat. The heels of her shoes tapped against the marble floor in a steady rhythm.

“You’ll come with me.”

She walked past Fang Zhe, her soft perfume lingering in the air for a brief moment.

“Your task is simple. Escort. Protect. Observe.”

She paused briefly at the door.

“And one more thing.”

Fang Zhe lifted his gaze.

“Don’t cause trouble with my clients.”

Her voice wasn’t loud, but it carried a clear warning.

“Some of them have… sensitive backgrounds.”

Fang Zhe nodded immediately. Since becoming a servant of the Zhao family, he already knew a little about noble families who didn’t like leaving witnesses behind.

His heart stirred again.

“I won’t act without instruction,” he replied calmly.

Erina looked at him for a moment.

“You’re strong. That was already proven yesterday.”

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

“But the business world isn’t a street arena. Ego can destroy billion-dollar deals.”

Fang Zhe lowered his head slightly.

“I will only act if your safety is threatened.”

For a brief second, the corner of Erina’s lips almost lifted.

“Good.”

Not long after, following a short trip, the black car stopped in front of an exclusive meeting building inside a five-star hotel in Shange City.

The glass doors opened automatically. Inside, a VIP room had been prepared.

A long mahogany table. Dark marble walls. A modern chandelier casting a warm, elegant light.

Three men were already seated, waiting.

And in the middle of them… a young man in an expensive gray suit, his hair neatly combed, a faint confident smile on his lips. His gaze carried undisguised arrogance.

“Young Master of the Brata Family…” Fang Zhe murmured inwardly, recalling the figure when he had once visited the Zhao family.

He recognized that face. The Brata family was one of the wealthy noble families controlling the distribution routes of medicinal materials throughout the province.

Erina walked in with steady steps.

“Young Master Brata.”

Her voice was calm. The young man stood, greeting her with a wider smile.

“Miss Erina. As always… you are stunning.”

His gaze swept over her shamelessly—from her face, slowly downward… all the way to the tip of her high heels.

Fang Zhe stood one step behind, his expression neutral. But his eyes narrowed slightly.

“Please, have a seat,” said Young Master Brata.

The meeting began. The first few minutes were formal. They discussed the prices of rare medicinal materials, distribution quotas for consumers, and the benefits of long-term cooperation.

But gradually, the direction of the conversation shifted.

Young Master Brata leaned back in his chair. His smile turned more cunning.

“To be honest… our family can double the quota.”

Erina looked at him directly.

“That’s good news.”

“Of course.” He smiled faintly. “But every great profit… usually requires an equivalent return.”

Fang Zhe could feel the atmosphere in the room change. Yet Erina’s face remained calm.

“What kind of return do you mean?”

Young Master Brata crossed his legs.

“This deal can proceed… if Miss Erina is willing to accompany me tonight.”

The room fell silent.

The other two men chuckled softly, as if it were something normal. Their gazes were clear now. No longer about business—but something far more vulgar.

Fang Zhe felt his blood boil. His hands almost clenched into fists. But he remembered Erina’s warning—not to cause trouble.

Erina did not react with anger. She did not slap him. She did not raise her voice. She simply looked at him coldly—even though her hand clearly wanted to strike the young master’s face.

“I came here for business, not entertainment.”

Her voice was as cold as ice.

Young Master Brata chuckled.

“Ah, don’t be so rigid. The world runs on mutual benefit.”

He stood, stepping slightly closer to the table.

“With just one night… the Brata family will ensure the Medicine Pavilion stands at the peak of the northern market.”

Fang Zhe could clearly see the man’s openly lustful gaze.

Erina immediately stood up.

“In that case, there’s no need to continue this deal.”

Hearing that, a faint smile appeared at the corner of Young Master Brata’s lips.

“No need to continue? Perhaps your Medicine Pavilion will collapse… after offending Young Master Paduka Ryan… Listen to me—if you agree, I might even eliminate that family with my power.”

The words hung in the air—a threat disguised as an offer.

Erina looked at Young Master Brata without blinking. Her expression remained calm, but her eyes turned icy.

“The Medicine Pavilion stands because of quality and reputation,” she said slowly.

“Not because of the protection of a man who equates cooperation with harassment.”

The atmosphere grew heavier. Young Master Brata’s smile faded slightly.

“You’re quite bold.”

Erina picked up her bag.

“Boldness is different from dignity.”

She stepped back.

“And my dignity is not up for negotiation.”

Fang Zhe followed one step behind her.

His heartbeat was steady—but his anger was close to exploding.

As they nearly reached the door—

Young Master Brata spoke again.

“Erina.”

Fang Zhe and Erina stopped at the same time.

Not out of fear. But to make sure his final words were heard clearly.

“An opportunity like this doesn’t come twice.”

Erina did not turn around.

“Neither does respect.”

She walked out. The door closed.

But the matter was far from over.

The hotel’s VIP corridor was quiet. Thick carpets muffled their footsteps.

But three large figures were already standing at the end of the hallway.

Three men in black suits.

Tall bodies. Broad shoulders. Cold gazes fixed on them.

They began to move slowly.

Blocking the path to the elevator.

Fang Zhe immediately stepped half a step in front of Erina—his stance clearly protective.

One of the men sneered.

“Oh… just a small bodyguard.”

His voice was heavy.

“You think a nice suit makes you look dangerous?”

The second man chuckled.

“He looks like a magazine model. Not a fighter. What can he even do?”

The third patted his own shoulder.

“The boss just wants to talk again. Don’t make us drag you.”

Erina stood firm. Not panicking. But this was clearly no longer just a conversation.

Fang Zhe glanced at Erina, his calm gaze seeking silent permission.

“Hey kid! Step aside, or—”

Ignoring the threat, Fang Zhe let out a cold smirk.

“Boss… may I take action?”

Fang Zhe halted the movement of his hand, which had been resting on the chips. Behind his minimalist silver mask, his eyes flashed with an amusement that was as playful as it was cold. He did not break General Guan’s tight grip on his forearm, choosing instead to simply leave it be."Wagering your lives now that your money has run out?" Fang Zhe chuckled softly, a sound that was utterly relaxed yet dripping with contempt. "Fascinating. This will certainly save me a lot of time cleaning up this place. Very well, I accept your trash wager."Upon hearing Fang Zhe's agreement, General Guan slowly withdrew his hand. The general exhaled a heavy breath, exhaling a military Qi aura that was incredibly solid and oppressive. At the far end of the table, the Grand Master remained silent, but the cylinder of his golden revolver cycled once more with a rhythmic clicking sound, signaling that he too consented to this madness as a final move to turn the tides."Dealer... deal the final cards," the G
