Chapter 1
1.
"Young Master Zhao, please stop… I-I am just a servant… Y-You…" her aunt's voice trembled with sheer terror. "Oh, come on… Don't you want to live a better life too?"
He recognized that voice. Zhao Ming Yao, the third young master of the Zhao family—a young man infamous for being arrogant, brutal, and untouchable by family law. Hearing that voice, intense curiosity surged within Fang Zhe. He pushed the door open and saw his aunt pinned against the wall. The woman's face looked deathly pale, her hands trembling as she tried to push away Zhao Ming Yao, who was drawing closer with a sickening grin.
"Hehehe! Since you're just a servant, who would dare report me?" Zhao Ming Yao laughed softly while licking his own lips.
Seeing his aunt being harassed, Fang Zhe's grip instantly weakened. The tea tray he had been holding fell onto the floor with a loud crash!
Praaaank!
"What do you think you're doing?!" Fang Zhe's voice was ice-cold, but his face flushed red with rage.
Zhao Ming Yao turned his head, raised an eyebrow, and let out a disdainful laugh. "Ah? So it's you, you little servant trash? How bold of a little servant like you to interrupt my entertainment!"
Fang Zhe stepped inside without hesitation.
"Let Aunt Mei go... Or else?!"
"Or else what? Do you think you get to order me around in here?"
"I-I'll kill you!" Fang Zhe shouted, gathering his courage.
Several Zhao family guards standing in the corner of the room began approaching as Fang Zhe stood defiantly, issuing his threat.
"This kid is crazy."
"A lowly servant wants to play the hero?"
Zhao Ming Yao snorted coldly, slapped the aunt across the face, and shoved her aside.
"Are you threatening me?"
Zhao Ming Yao chuckled softly, but the look in his eyes turned knife-cold. The next second, Zhao Ming Yao began taking steps forward.
Until...
BAM!
Zhao Ming Yao's fist slammed into Fang Zhe's face without warning, sending Fang Zhe's body flying to crash against the wine rack.
Bottles shattered into pieces as the smell of alcohol mixed with blood began filling the room.
Fang Zhe collapsed onto the floor, his head ringing violently. Yet he still tried to pull himself up.
"Let go of... my aunt..." he murmured hoarsely.
"Still able to talk?" Zhao Ming Yao clicked his tongue in disgust.
"A nameless, backgroundless lowly servant... thinks he can challenge me?"
He gave a slight gesture, prompting the guards to move instantly. Kicks slammed into Fang Zhe's abdomen. A barrage of heavy blows struck his back and face. Every attack felt as though it were snapping his bones one by one.
Duk! Bam! Krak!
Fang Zhe coughed violently, blood trickling from the corner of his lips. His vision began to blur, but his eyes remained open, staring at the only thing keeping his consciousness tethered. His aunt, Liu Mei.
"Cough!"
The only remaining family he had was his aunt—a simple woman who worked tirelessly in the Zhao family kitchen to support the two of them.
"Y-Young Master Ming Yao, don't hurt Fang Zhe!" Aunt Mei shrieked, her voice breaking into sobs.
However, Zhao Ming Yao had already stepped closer, pressing his leather shoe down onto Fang Zhe's chest.
"Do you hear that?" he said with a faint smile, continuing, "How your aunt whines so I won't kill you?"
Fang Zhe's eyelids felt heavy. He no longer cared about Zhao Ming Yao's words; all he knew was that as his consciousness began to fade, he saw Zhao Ming Yao's shadow approaching his aunt once again.
Now he could only hear muffled crying. He heard a low laugh that turned his blood to ice. And finally...
Hooosh! Hoooosh! Hoooosh!
Fang Zhe gasped heavily for breath as he looked around. For within his sight, there was only darkness to be seen.
"F-Fortunately, it was just a drea..." Before he could finish his sentence, he realized the truth. It wasn't a dream—his body was at the bottom of a deep abyss.
"I-If this isn't a dream... Th-Then how did I end up in this abyss?"
DIIIIIING!
Suddenly, the chime of a bell echoed inside his mind. 'Congratulations! You have become the new host of the Great Become a God Instantly System!'
"S-System?!"
DIIIIING!
'Host is correct! You have actually died, but fate has bound us together like soulmates! As long as Host completes the missions, all revenge—and even becoming a God—is no longer just a dream!'
Still thinking logically, he thought the voice in his mind might be a hallucination. But the system promptly said, 'What is Host thinking? A hallucination? Do you still think this is a dream?'
Hearing those words, Fang Zhe replied briefly in his mind, If you're really that amazing—capable of turning someone into a God... Can you help me get out from the bottom of this abyss? A subtle, dismissive smile sounded in his thoughts.
DIIIIIIIING!
Instantly, the chime of the bell rang out once again, followed by the system's calm response.
'Unexpected Encounter Gift... The system temporarily grants Energy Wings...'
WOOOOSH!
From behind Fang Zhe's back, a pair of wings resembling those of a phoenix emerged. His eyes widened instantly, his body freezing as he tried to confirm if what he was seeing was indeed reality.
'Host, this first gift is temporary... You must get out immediately, or the gift will vanish...'
Jolted out of his daze by the warning, Fang Zhe cursed on the spot.
"You really are incredible, but I don't even know how to use a pair of wings... So how am I supposed to fly!"
'Host, flap the pair of wings. A single flap is enough to fly ten meters high... Do it just like a phoenix dancing in midair!'
Doing as instructed, Fang Zhe could no longer hide the shock on his face. Because he truly was able to fly up out of the abyss!
A few moments after emerging from the bottom of the abyss, his gaze landed on a quiet village road. However, the road was smoothly paved with asphalt, unlike any of the villages he had ever visited before.
"Where am I? And why does it look like I'm seeing a modern village?"
'Host, you are on the outskirts of the Dead Village, south of Shange City. The time is 07:00, February 2026!'
Nodding his head, an even greater shock suddenly surfaced in his eyes.
"Th-The year 2026?! F-February?!" Because of his shock, his shrill voice caused one of the village residents to raise an eyebrow.

The escalating quarrel between Su Yin and Fang Zhe came to a sudden halt. Su Yin, whose fingers were just reaching into her spiritual stone storage pouch, froze in her tracks, while Fang Zhe slowly lowered the hands he had been using to beg for a loan. Both turned their heads simultaneously, staring at the silver-robed youth with narrow eyes in utter bewilderment—as if they had just witnessed a madman suddenly leap into the middle of the street.Even Ling Yin, usually calm and composed, raised an eyebrow, gazing at the shimmering Heaven-Grade Spiritual Stone atop the dingy table with a perplexed expression. The old merchant swallowed hard, his eyes bulging at the Heaven-Grade Stone—a sum capable of purchasing an entire treasure shop in this courtyard. "T-this... a pure Heaven-Grade Stone?! Y-young Master... you are truly throwing this away just for this piece of rusted scrap iron?!"The youth clad in silver-embroidered silk smiled with even greater arrogance. He snapped his jade fan s

"One Thousand Heaven-Grade Spiritual Stones?!"Hearing the absurd figure come out of the old merchant's mouth, Su Yin’s eyes instantly widened. Without wasting a single second, her delicate fingers darted like lightning—ZRAAP!"A-AWWW! Su Yin! It hurts, hey! Let go, let go!" Fang Zhe grimaced, twisting his head frantically to follow the 180-degree turn of Su Yin’s relentless grip on his ear."It hurts, you say?! Where on earth is your brain installed, huh?!" Su Yin raged, her face flushed red with rising anger. Her sharp eyes glared back and forth between the wincing Fang Zhe and the slyly smirking old merchant."I’ve told you over and over that this place is full of cunning scammers! And you... you actually walk up to the dingiest stall to grab a piece of rusted scrap metal that isn't even fit to chop firewood!" Su Yin twisted her grip even tighter."One Thousand Heaven-Grade Spiritual Stones could buy two pure Earth-Grade weapons back at the Sect! Yet you want to hand them over to t

Before Su Yin and Ling Yin could reply, Fang Zhe had already turned around and strolled casually down the airship's stairs. Hands clasped comfortably behind his head, his saunter was so relaxed that one would think the Bao Clan's outer courtyard—currently filled with arrogant geniuses—was nothing more than his own backyard playground."Tsk, that guy truly can't stay still for a single second!" Su Yin grumbled, stomping her foot in annoyance. Nevertheless, she and Ling Yin quickened their pace to follow closely behind him, ensuring he wouldn't get into trouble. The moment he merged with the sea of cultivators along the main avenue paved with white jade tiles, Fang Zhe's eyes lit up. This was his very first time stepping into the bustling center of the Immortal Realm, having previously spent his days only in the relatively isolated environment of the Virgin Valley Sect."Insane... absolutely insane," Fang Zhe muttered, his gaze sweeping over the vendor stalls neatly lined up along the c

The standoff on the airship deck ended in an awkward silence. Under the Sect Master’s stern instruction, the Elder of the Hall of Punishment immediately activated the ship’s propulsion formation to maximum capacity. The protective barrier vibrated violently, cleaving through the sea of clouds at lightning speed and leaving that perilous zone far behind before the Main Leader of the Black-Winged Bandit could even realize the slaughter that had taken place. One Month Later....A month passed without any significant hindrances. Throughout the journey, no other bandits or enemies dared approach the airship of the Virgin Valley Sect.
